For me it's a bad idea to provide details on airdrops and bounties. There are many scam bounties and airdrops out there, so you are not sure who might use your details. They might violate identity theft, or worse sell your information to hackers and such.

Most of the bounty campaigs that extends their deadline is trying to reach hard cap. It means that they want to sell all tokens on their token sale. I have participated on a bounty campaign once wherein they extended their bounty until their token sale was sold out. But for the compensation, they doubled the stakes.

In my opinion, it is a good sign because more people are becoming interested in crypto and it means that more people can support and promote the acceptance of crypto in out daily lives. On the other hand, more people means that there are more competitors and participants on bounty programs.

The best thing you can do is to install metamask so that you don't need to import your PK everytime you trade to a certain exchange. And next is, never import your PK on exchange that you are not sure that are safe. And you can also consider using a different wallet for storing your tokens and wallet for selling it on exchanges.

Pump and dump is very rampant these days especially on bounty tokens. They just want easy profits and dump the tokens immediately. But if you really believe on the project, holding the tokens is a good choice. It really depends on you.

In my opinion, the best that campaign managers ca do about that is to limit the number of participants on each campaign and set a specific schedule of when the registration will close.

First thing you need to do is check the team members if they are legit. Some ICOs are just using fake identities and fake pictures on their ANN thread. Next is, we must check if the project is good and feasible and most importantly, if they have a good amount of supporters and if their ICO sale reached hard cap.
