41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: January 07, 2018, 03:34:03 PM
Yeah, agree. I think so too, binance has good potential and will be a great exchange. Proven now a lot of people who join the binance, until the registration of new members was paused.

They can't handle the support tickets anymore. Binance is amazing, this is the reality, but I think they will turn into another Poloniex because I bet they don't have enough support agency now. They won't be able to meet the support tickets of the customers.

We are already in the process of greatly expanding our customer service capabilities as we know this is priority. CZ, our CEO, has made this and platform scalability his #1 mission which is why registrations have been temporarily halted. We are all working extremely hard to enhance this experience for the customer. We appreciate the feedback you’ve provided and we will continue to improve on issues you all identify. Thank you for using our services.

Just uninstalled, restarted computer, reinstalled, updated and still the same, its almost unusable at the moment. Still stuck in BTC pair column when I click ETH column and vice versa. Needs to be fixed asap as its not trustworthy at all in this state.

I am going to push this to our technical staff and see what is going on (if they're not already aware). Thank you for bringing this to our attention! I am sorry you are having technical difficulties, please use the website temporarily while we figure out what is going on.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: January 05, 2018, 12:49:51 AM
They need to use decimales while trading, this is fucking cancer

Their representative told that they are aware of the issue and they are working on it to fix it. So we can probably use decimals after some time.

This is one big fucking scam exchange, withdraw fees are literally $20 for ETH and they add even less than a $1 for TX Fee. They're literally scamming you out of $19!!!

We are sorry you missed our fee structure. Please take a look here https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000429332-Fee-Structure-on-Binance

I've had many people asking about the dust issue on Binance.

I used to trade on Bitrex, but then I decided to start trading on Binance. Now I can not understand why I can not make a deal for all my capital? On my account there are always tenths or hundredths of coins

Actually it is the only thing i don't like about binance.

Why it is not allowing me using some little numbers. I know it doesn't worth too much but still, it has some value.

It's not only Binance that are 'guilty' of doing this but also on HitBTC and Cryptopia I have bits of dust left over from trades, like you said it's not worth much but I find it annoying.

Hitbtc and cryptopia is not that user-friendly exchanges. But binance is really giving value to customers happiness. And this little amounts making everyone annoyed. I hope they will change it one day.

We are well aware of this issue and have taken your concerns seriously. We are working extremely hard and diligently to solve this issue.

Your Exchange is too good and even better than bittrex because you have the additional feature of the mobile app. Try to improve and fix bugs in your mobile app with advent of smartphone technology people like exchanges which provide services on a finger tap. Moreover the web exchange UI also lags a bit. I don't know whether its my processor or it is slow in general because no other exchange does that problem.

We are constantly working on improving our platform, IOS / Androip apps, and rolling out new features. In regards to the web exchange UI I am curious to know if this occurs in Basic or Advanced view? Some have complained of basic running extremely slow while others have stated Advanced works just fine. This is another issue we will need to look into.

Thank you for providing your feedback!

You will not give the last BTC forks, GOD and SeGwit2x.

Binance's Stance on Bitcoin Forks:

For future hard forks of Bitcoin, Binance will take a snapshot at the time of fork. After the forked blockchain and wallet are available and stable, Binance will credit the forked coins to users and allow 7 days to withdraw their forked coins. For trading on Binance, the forked coin will go through the same strict listing review process as any other coin. It will not be listed by default. Going forward, we foresee there will be many forked coins of BTC. Binance does not support forking simply for the sake of forking.

I thought you said that you will give every forks but won't list them unless it is something big and give a withdrawal period after blockchain is up. But you didn't give bitcoin god and segwit2x (they are probably not that good). Any change on that policy?

I have been referred this afternoon to Binance after reading a lot of good feedback here and there. As Binance the new flower of crypto exchanges growing at an amazing rate, etc....

The site looks good with an interesting UI, I have not used so far because:
I have been told that we need to set up 2fa to be able to withdraw. While I understand you are taking security user seriously, it would be nice if you don't force users to have 2fa enabled. A simple warning can be enough, if something happens it's the responsibility of the user.
2FA something I hate, and SMS?  Will I receive a SMS each time? Holy! I am going to receive more SMS from Binance than ladies...

I will add the 2fa SMS but it's really because I am planning to be active in, but again it could be great if we are not forced to use 2fa.
It's not a complaint but just a suggestion

I understand where you're coming from but please realize our company image is on the line each time a user allows their account to get hacked due to being a soft target. We do not want accounts getting compromised which is why we provide users with strict guidelines in order to gain full access to our services. 1FA is extremely risky for both the user and the exchange as it allows hackers to steal funds from the account which becomes a tragic issue for both parties.

Please consider having a look at the VeChain (VEN) withdrawal fees. Its 5 tokens and it being 2+ usd its getting a bit out of hand. You're running the new years promo with the them and all. Thank you!

..oh and congrats on being the new number one crypto currency in the world! Awesome job!  Smiley

Your voice has been heard and I've forwarded this through proper channels. Thank you for your kind words!

Would like to ask whether there are plans to include MAID coins in your exchange.
ATM only poloniex is the place to go.
thanks

We are always looking to expand our coins. Obviously, I am unable to discuss any future plans on any coin listing but if the core team has submitted a listing request then it will be reviewed.

Been thrilled with service. I think that referral program is truly a force to be reckoned with. Just to clarify, the person who is the referee does not pay additional fees for you to receive the referral commission? I just wanted to make sure they're not overpaying just because I gave them the link.

Thank you for using our exchange! The person who uses your referral does not pay additional fees.

I don't believe in binance anymore. China killed all these potentially profitable icos. I don't see any reason to use binance. Its cheaper than other exchanges I know but real deal was making us option to invest on asian icos.

Please check out our LaunchPad at https://launchpad.binance.com/

We will be updating and expanding this area of Binance to keep you connected to promising projects.

Binance is one of the best exchanges I have ever used. It is fast and simple. I have had no problems depositing nor withdrawing yet. My referrals are quickly displayed and I see my commissions as well.  Although a coin goes through a "drop" phase when it is listed on Binance, I do not fault them for it. Only problem is that I see a LOT of whales trading on it.

We are really glad that you're enjoying the exchange! Please keep us posted on any new requests or changes you'd like to see.

Withdrawals are quick and effortless! Please let us know how else we can help and thank you for the kind words!

Since you can't access telegram to speak to a live rep then I suggest you update your ticket or submit a new one to completely reset the Two-Factor Authentication through the Official Binance webpage so you can gain access to your account.

"Resetting Two-Factor Authentication

For anyone that needs to reset their 2FA, you will need to open a support ticket (https://support.binance.com/hc/en-us/requests/new). If you already have, please attach the following to it:

1) The front your ID card or passport, with the personal information clearly visible.

2) A picture of the back of your ID card. If using a passport, include a picture of the cover.

3) A picture of yourself with the current date/time on a handwritten note, including your request ("Reset 2FA"), with the front side of your ID card clearly visible.

After you have completed this, we will reset your 2FA as soon as we are able. Once reset, you will be unableto withdraw for 48 hours. This is for the security of your account."

You can then provide me with the ticket number and I will notify live support to quickly resolve this issue.

More information about the 2FA error

https://www.reddit.com/r/binance/comments/7iceev/attention_issues_with_2fa_please_read/

First and foremost, if you are experiencing issues with 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) and you are using the Google Authenticator application, you should attempt to sync your clock in the app settings before reading any further. Please read My Google Authenticator codes aren’t working (Android) for instructions on how to do this.

If you do not know how to configure or use Two-Factor Authentication, please read our article entitled "Securing Your Binance Account with Two-Factor Authentication" for a tutorial crafted specifically for our exchange (courtesy of /u/Matador_BNB).

If you have enabled 2FA and you are still experiencing issues, you will need to open a support ticket to have it disabled.

Once the ticket is open, you will receive an automated response e-mail. Your ticket number is the 6-digit number toward the end. To add any more comments or attachments to the ticket, simply respond to the e-mail.

After opening a ticket, please attach the following to it:

1) The front your ID card or passport, with the personal information clearly visible.

2) A picture of the back of your ID card. If using a passport, include a picture of the cover.

3) A picture of yourself with the current date/time on a handwritten note, including your request ("Reset 2FA"), with the front side of your ID card clearly visible.

After you have completed this, we will reset your 2FA as soon as we are able. Once reset, you will be unable to withdraw for 48 hours. This is for the security of your account.

To ensure the quickest response, please do not create more than one ticket. You may post your ticket number here once you have added all three attachments and we will address it as time allows.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: December 29, 2017, 01:09:29 AM
Binance has overtaken exchanges like Bittrex and Poloniex but take note the Binance is still a green apple in this kind of business. They maybe able to answer tickets and provide new features in their sites but after a few months and more registered users that situation might change but I do hope they dont and not follow the direction that Poloniex and Bittrex has taken which is ignore support tickets from their clients.

I agree with you that we must be constantly stay up to date with the growth of our user base. I can assure you this is a top priority. However, I will have to kindly object when you say we are a green apple in this kind of business. I encourage you to take a look at our CEO and team background and I think you may have a different stance on the experience that leads Binance.

Changpeng Zhao - CEO
(aka CZ in the crypto community)

CZ is the founder and CEO of BijieTech, a company that provides cloud-based exchange systems to exchange operators. Since founding in Sept 2015, BijieTech now powers 30+ exchanges in Asia. In the first 12 months since founding, BijieTech closed 36.1 million RMB ($5.3MM USD) in revenue, and will double that in its second year. BijieTech has never accepted any outside investments, being cash flow positive from day one. As soon as the Binance ICO finishes, CZ will remain a shareholder of BijieTech, but will relinquish all of his management duties to a new CEO. CZ will focus exclusively on Binance.

This applies to all BijieTech members listed in this whitepaper. Prior to BijieTech, CZ was the co-founder and CTO of OKCoin. During his stay there, OKCoin launched their international site, and their futures trading platform. Co-ordinating with Stefan Thomas, CZ also lead the first proof-of-reserves in any China crypto exchange. Most other major exchanges in China followed soon after. In addition to managing the tech team there, he also lead the international marketing team. He is still mentor to and good friends with Zane Tackett. Before OKCoin, CZ was the Head of Technology and the 3rd person to join the Blockchain.info team. He worked closely with Ben Reeves, Roger Ver, Anthony Antonopoulos and Nicolas Cary to grow the Blockchain.info service.

Before Blockchain.info, CZ co-founded Fusion Systems Ltd in 2005, a company that specializes in ultra-low-latency trading systems for brokers. Fusion Systems was started in Shanghai, and currently has offices in Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Los Angeles. Among other tasks, CZ was responsible closing and deploying trading systems at Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, and more. CZ left Fusion System to work full time in the blockchain industry in 2013. Before Fusion Systems, CZ was the Head of Development at Bloomberg Tradebook Futures for 4 years, in New York. There CZ managed a team that was responsible for the entire futures trading platform in Bloomberg, with annual revenues exceeding $300 million USD. Prior to Bloomberg, CZ’s college internship and first job out of college was in Tokyo, working for a tech outsource company that was involved in developing trading systems for the Tokyo Stock Exchange. This is where his exchange experience began. CZ was born in China and went to high school and college in Canada. CZ is fully bilingual in English and Chinese, and can speak basic Japanese.

As you can see, CZ and his team are extremely experienced when it comes to this space. I also encourage you to watch this interview with Boxmining and CZ to gain another perspective https://youtu.be/LW9QHtLVK-k

By no means am I implying we are without issue. Our goal is to quickly identify where a problem could arise and take necessary measures to prevent that problem from ever occurring. Should a problem appear, then we understand the importance of quickly solving that issue before it has a chance to hurt our customer base or platform.

I'm really happy with the service I'm getting using binance. It is the only exchange I'm trading right now. Thanks for great service.

On the binance exchange if i buy at market value do i get charged the same trading fees as doing a buy/sell limit or stop limit order? on gdax there's no fee if you buy as a maker(buy/sell limit order or stop limit order). Just want to verify if binance is the same way or its a % regardless if your a maker or a taker?

As of right now it is a .1% trading fee across the board. However, if you have BNB, you can choose BNB to deduct 50% trading fee from that .1%.

I understand other exchanges operate differently and this is something that could possibly change in the future. We have had similar requests on this matter. I have confirmed other variations will be subsequently introduced including maker-taker.
