If its allowed on youtube i doubt itd be an issue.

I would say that its easy enough to host files on places like MEGA, google drive etc. The platform need only be a point of escrow and contact for both parties imo.

I guess for file sharing that has security that would work.

Probably a hyperlink whitelist would suffice. Transparency is needed in these situations imo. Worker milestones would be a pretty sweet feature to have

I agree with worker milestones, I think one of the biggest problems on these e-lancing sites is that you just have so little feedback. It's a little bit more effort but from the customer perspective, it gives them more confidence to continue using and gives them a minimum expectation.

I very much doubt that the devs will have the time to sit around on chat, and whilst I appreciate contact, I would rather they just spend their time delivering some stuff and making the site an actual success. If it is successful and they have thousands of people coming on slack / irc, its just going to be super messy.

Well holding any currency is always going to have some speculative value, but being involved early on is always going to be more risky but the rewards can be incredible. I've been around long enough and supported some really huge bloomers.

When are the MAC wallets ready? I really can't stand the PC, get us mac wallets and you've sold me again.

I second this, most of the freelancers I know own and work on a mac lol

Yes i'm a MAC user too, but I dual boot with Windows which is currently the only way i'm staking coin.

Web dev freelancer here and I think this is a great way for us to get into bitcoin, I have always been interested in getting into bitcoin in general and keeping a professional portfolio of work so I thought why not start off with offering my services to possible clients with your service!

Can't wait to get started

I am a full stack web dev and actually I had the same idea but for now I'll be a user and see how this pans out. I actually like that they've done a solid study on their competition, clearly understands marketing.

This is a reasonable feature request, but I can see it being abused. I guess if we did something like this, then the recruiter would have to choose to do so. We'll look into this.

Yeah but without this, I wouldn't be inclined to do larger jobs. Instead, i'd look at doing lots of smaller little jobs. This kind of takes away the potential of what sort of services could be offered.

I guess any business in China that wishes to gradually move their money out of the country might be interested in taking Bitcoin. There are alot of massively wealthy business owners under the radar in China.

I'm gonna give this a shot. How much do we get paid after the fees come into place?

Appreciated! The fee's we're planning to take would be 5%. However we'll be looking at implementing ways of reducing that for freelancers with high activity, so the more popular your services are, the less fees!

Gotcha. Another question I have is, what would be the size of jobs that we could offer? For example if I wanted to offer some larger project that might take a while, and cost quite a bit more than the usual day job. And for these type of jobs I usually like to take a deposit. How would you deal with that?

Ok, I should just explain how the escrow system works:

Freelancer accepts a job which is paid for up-front.
The money is then held until delivery of work AND there are no pending issues.
The freelancer has responsibility in ensuring the work delivered is as described in their advert.

Disputes will mean that the money is held in escrow until the disputes are resolved.

There won't be any restrictions on the size of jobs you are able to offer. If you are concerned that they will not pay, the site ensures that full payment is taken before the job is considered accepted.

There may be cases where continuous jobs are required for an on-going project. The site will allow you to create custom jobs if an incremental payment option is desirable.

Okay this answers my questions. I'd still like it if I could receive some of the money upfront though, a lot of jobs I've taken have taken weeks or even months. I can't really afford to take on the job if I won't be paid at all until completion. Maybe you can implement a way to let users decide if they want to release some funds early? Like 50% up front and 50% on completion?

you can add an option that people can login using their BTC address by signing a message
each time they want to login they have to sign a message using their bitcoin address
Great, do you know any APIs to verify a message?
you can verify using bitcoind
you will need to setup your own bitcoin server and then you can verify signed message using API, check below link for API commands

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Original_Bitcoin_client/API_calls_list

verifymessage   <bitcoinaddress> <signature> <message>       Verify a signed message.
A more simpler method I found that I created a Blockchain wallet, and then I can use their modified version of bitcoind that runs on ther server, and then I can use the JSON response
there are multiple ways to verify the signed message you can choose the one that is best for you

You can try to find someone who will sell you btc for pp but:
This user's password was reset recently.

I don't think he will able to exchange those PP for BTC because as he written in OP he can't send money from his paypal account

I got money on paypal for my bitcoins, now I have a big problem, I cannot spend it because i need a creditcard, which I don't have. So i cannot send money from paypal, I don't know why, but it was changed...
