Roadmap release after RavenCoin info drop in a few days?  Tongue

Why create an almost exact copy of RavenCoin, when you could have tried to contribute your changes to their code? I thought that was the purpose of open source?

My exact thoughts.  Also, if the only benefit here is the algorithm, that can be easily mimicked by RVN.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant N - Cryptonight, Cryptonight-lite FPGA/ASIC miner on: March 24, 2018, 10:58:07 PM
Hi
Someone know if this baikal N can be upgraded to mine monero and other cryptonight coins after the fork?
Otherway will become faster a nice door stopper

The price action from Baikal continually lowering the price is probably telling that it can't be upgraded for the fork... I seriously doubt they would keep dropping the price if they thought there was a possibility.

As soon as I sent to asicminermarket.com "I want to buy" with a different email address, a reply came. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Very strange behavior of BAIKAL. Here is a lot of claims from asicminermarket.com buyers, which ruin the BAIKAL reputation, too.
If they announce who is their real distributor, resaler or dealer, and who is a scam artist, buyers will be more protected.
They know, to whom they sell their units. It is very easy for them  to point on scam business. If they want. With such situation it looks like that they support this practice.  Angry Angry Angry

People throw money at Baikal regardless of their practices and people throw money at asisminermarket when it's well documented that they have massively delayed shipping in the past.  Buyers need to come to their own senses by putting their own greed of making money quick themselves by doing a little research first...

It sucks that these businesses screw people out of their hard earned $$, but DO YOUR RESEARCH people...
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: March 21, 2018, 07:03:43 PM
Hello - Is there a way to see windows uptime instead of miner uptime or both?
Hi. Today you can only see the Windows Uptime on the Summary tab.

I will make a small change to the next release to make it possible to use the "Customize Progress Field" feature to get the Windows Uptime listed there as well.
http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/customizefield.aspx

You will be able to use an expression like this in the next version of Awesome Miner:
Code:
"Windows Uptime: " + string.Format("{0}d {1}h {2}m", TimeSpan.FromSeconds(system.WindowsUptimeSeconds).Days, TimeSpan.FromSeconds(system.WindowsUptimeSeconds).Hours, TimeSpan.FromSeconds(system.WindowsUptimeSeconds).Minutes)

Perfect - Thanks!

I also wanted to mention that I've tried a few other Mining OS's and ended up sticking with yours for the farm.  Love the product and how in-touch you are with your customers.

55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: March 16, 2018, 04:30:21 PM
December was unrealistically high profit wise - now we're back around where we were in ~September time frame last year.  We had a major bull run in the late spring and early summer of 2017, followed by a low spot at the end of summer, and then another crazy bull run at the end of 2017.  Right now I expect to see those with credit card debts (for hardware) to be panicking and cashing out, but if you're hardware is paid for there's no reason to panic imo.

Bunch of people are selling rigs, they have made calculations when mining was at the Peak.
Now with changes in profit gains they have made decision to sell of hardware and even make some profit on it.

I got ROI pretty fast.. I stopped mining. Hoping times will change.

well, I got ROId may cards as well, that is why I do not see any reason why should I stop the mining process?!
I have like about 150 usd the bill for electricity last month, and even with current low prices and profits I can earn about 50$ per day, that mean that after 3 days of mining I'm covering my expenses for electricity..  So all above that is pure profit, why should leave that?!

My rig brings in only 6 euro a day (180 a month) and my elec bill is around 90.. Not worth it for me.

Your logic sounds a little skewed to me if your rig still makes money in the end @ current prices  Huh
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Baikal Giant N - Cryptonight, Cryptonight-lite FPGA/ASIC miner on: March 15, 2018, 08:03:40 AM
just received mail from Bitmain  Sad

We are proud and happy to announce that we are launching the all-new Antminer X3, a new Antminer model for mining cryptocurrencies based on the hashing algorithm CryptoNight.

The Antminer X3 delivers a minmum hashrate of 220KH/s while consuming 550W of total power.

To prevent hoarding by certain users or resellers and to ensure that more individual miners in different time zones around the world are able to order this new ASIC miner, we have made some changes:

There is a limit of one miner per user for all orders in the current (two) batches.
We will release both these batches with an equal stock thrice today: at 3PM, 6pm and 9PM (15 March, GMT+8). >

But it's $12000 USD for the first batch. Holly Crap! But, payback in 61 days at current rates. Which I'm sure will drop once they start hitting the network.

Someone would have to be smoking some really good stuff to buy that @ 12k with all the upcoming changes to CN algo....Oh with a mid/late May delivery too  Cheesy

They're obviously trying to get rid of stock/make sales.  They finally responded to my email that I sent them 2 months ago for the Giant B w/their generic email with prices for all their products.

I just don't know...it sounds so childish that you are not allowed to talk about the price in discord channel...maybe I have to admit my loss and sell this for 75% loss...jesus...BG.

I gave up and sold @ 70% loss.  Pointless with this team and there are much better opportunities then trying to wait this out and seeing if they get back on a major exchange.  It's taking them way too long to implement more games with the amount of investments they've been given and the time that they've had.
