http://doge.cryptopool.it/ down?
hey some1 from the site fix it

sniff! sniff! where my 30k doge bones! wrrrrr!
Use P2pool. At least 5 nodes posted. 500% uptime ;]
Find rav3n's bat config for the miners, if one goes down, it switches to the next.

You can add Crypto49er to that list also

wow such speed!

70.6MH/s on http://pool.hostv.pl:9555 p2pool

such great job!

 Efficiency: 107.8%

so 7% more coins for you then others! great!

keep up a good work doge lovers

Is there a minimum hash speed required? That pool worked great for me but I eventually stopped getting paid out for several hours so I was forced to leave. I have about 330 kh/s.
I'm only hashing at about 320 and doing fine.  Check your miner settings.  High hash rate doesn't always mean your solving shares.  Also, sometimes it takes quite a while to see your first payout(a lesson I learned the hard way) and then it depends on when the pool solves a block.

I don't know, it's weird. On that pool I was getting paid out like 4-5 times an hour, then out of nowhere, no pay for 3-4 hours(and I still haven't received anything from those 3-4 hours). Just didn't seem right, so I switched to the cryptovalley pool, no problems thus far.

p2pool has variable difficulty for both your miner as well as what counts as a share.

If you want to try p2pool again give mine a try ;o)
0% fee but donations of any amount greatly appreciated.

Has anybody succeeded in encrypting their wallet yet?!?

Yep.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BEL] Bells - Fast and fun! - Scrypt - Random Block Rewards - No Premine on: December 05, 2013, 04:58:37 PM
I think it's a good idea. It seems to be a slow starting coin right now, but that's not a bad thing at all. Slow interest imho is better than balls to the wall hashrate and then nothing.

I really like that you actually changed all the bitcoin/litecoin references to bells. Soooo many new coins don't even go to the trouble. I don't know if they think their coin is going to tank so find and replace isn't worth it or what but... kudos  Smiley

Trying this out for a bit. First new coin in awhile that hasn't been labeled a scam outright and was seemingly just created for the lulz ;o)

I need a block for crying out loud

Don't know what's worse

No more beer in the fridge or not finding a block in 20+ hours

Both are incredibly disheartening...
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XPM] [ANN] Primecoin Release - First Scientific Computing Cryptocurrency on: July 09, 2013, 11:07:52 PM
I am close to closing down here giving up on this coin. 14 hours I have been mining on all 4 cores of a 2500k and a 8 core ec2 instance. Not one block yet.

Are people getting blocks still or are there a load of optimized clients gobbling up all the coins?

I think all the optimized people are sucking the blocks up. I haven't gotten one in about the same amount of time with 6 different CPUs

I'm still getting blocks, well on my i5 laptop anyways. I have 2 amd machines that haven't done a thing as of yet. I have 6 blocks on the laptop, last one was about 2 hours ago. Just stock client as of now.

Hey Midas, err I mean Sunny King ;o) Nice job on the coin. Lots of good publicity right off the bat also.

and whomever take offense at this or not... Are you really complaining about someone not releasing an optimized miner because it's somehow not fair that they used their education, intellect, or a combination of the two to adjust how the client runs? By the way, is that an obama phone I see in your pocket?

Having an advantage is fine, and intellect/cunning should be rewarded. A 10-20% advantage seems reasonable, a 1000-10000% advantage, however, just reflects badly on the intentions of the actual coin as stated by the devs of this coin and it's predecessor. Not to mention defeating the purpose of any coins initial release, which is widespread distribution and  accessibility..... I could also go into the potential vulnerability existing by having such optimizations ,.. and many other issues but meh.

then again, Not everyone falls into the 'low hanging fruit category', aka those that have to  'game' the/any system to eek a living in the first place, for little reward short term at the cost of longterm gains. think goldfish.

lol obamaphone? vast majority of the US lives on food stamps/ social security/handouts/obamaphones and that society seems to be working well enough to easily control the entire world and more... what was your point?

The point is a leech though I'm surprised you didn't get that. I'm guessing if they expect someone to provide them an optimized miner free of charge so that everyone can mine at an equal rate that they most likely also have a socialized phone such as the obama phone. Granted the phone was started way before obama but under obama the numbers of people taking advantage of that program and others like it have skyrocketed.

Bounty plea:
http://www.ppcointalk.org/index.php?topic=188.0

Please read. Consider it marketing if you need a tax write-off ;o) of course consult your tax professional first.

I want to add that I'm willing to give ppcointalk a try again. I did try before 95% of people did, but views were negligible then. Hopefully they increase.
Thanks all.

*edit I like to throw out random % guesses so some one takes the time to actually correct me. Can you tell me how many people joined before/after me? ;o)

** double edit ok sorry I didn't realize that ppcointalk had a members list organized by join date. Nevermind too easy ;o)
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PPC] PPCoin Released! - First Long-Term Energy-Efficient Crypto-Currency on: May 15, 2013, 02:30:42 AM
Good points, well taken.

I guess we just use both for now. Probably in the future the transition will just happen organically and naturally.

On a side note... how do we grow ppcoin from here? What truly needs to be done?

Just my thought(s), but Merchants, lots of Merchants. A pretty face (icon, website) is also great and helps acceptance both by merchants and consumers.

Not sure if most of you have seen this or not but Sunny offered a 100 ppc bounty (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=142295.0) to the first 20 merchants to accept ppc (Not sure if it was intended to be payable to those convincing merchants only or to merchants also). I added 5 ppc to the first 20. I am not ppc rich by any means, but 100 ppc is a small price to pay. It'd be awesome if others could chip in a ppc or two and get the bounties up enough that merchants and those who could convince merchants get excited about doing so.

Without excitement by those not participating in this thread we are just spinning our own wheels.

Ok, here goes...

THIS THREAD IS MOVING TO PPCOINTALK.ORG - PLEASE CONTINUE IT THERE!

PLEASE JOIN US THERE!

I'd like to see SunnyKing say he's moving over there. Then I'll follow. No offense Excelsior but if the Dev isn't moving.... Well ;o)

We are still in the growing stages and let's be honest, lot's of people here will be looking at other coins in the next several months and by coins, I don't mean the sudden influx of p-n-d, premine, get rich quick coins. If we jump over to ppcointalk will we have the same exposure we do here?

PPC has  maintained or exceeded profitability of 95% of the other coins out there over the last few days despite the massive turbulance. I just don't think removing this marketing channel at this crucial time is the best route. This is our strongest point of information right now and to say it is suddenly done I believe is to remove one of our best advertisements.

I vote we wait to see what happens at the conference. With what happened today with Dwolla who knows, maybe all of the attendees will be arrested by homeland security. lol though I hope not.

Sorry for the rambling post, I'm just not sure that totally abandoning this thread is the best move at this point.

*edit it should probably read "exceeded profitability of 85-90% of the other coins" I was just shooting from the hip before, but I'll leave it as I typed it originally. I just don't want to get called to the block because someone disagrees with me.

OMG TheSeven, I freaking love you, you just saved me a very very large sum of money!! I'm now going to back up all my wallets and I'm putting them on a flash drive, and straight into my parents safety deposit box! Thanks again so much!!
Put them on at least two flash drives of different brands. Flash media aren't exactly known for their reliability... Smiley

^This and possibly print out a paper copy of the private key.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [PPC] Bounty Project Discussion on: May 10, 2013, 01:14:15 AM
New bounty!

[Market Acceptance] Persuade a retailer to accept ppcoin payment besides bitcoin. Requirement: a notice or a ppcoin banner on retailer's website to accept ppcoin payment. No requirement to automate payment.

I pledge 100 PPC to the bounty hunters for each retailer adopted up to first 20, through May 2013.

Talk points: new innovation; environmental responsibility; diversity strengthening cryptocurrency; etc

Please chip in with me to help ppcoin gain acceptance!

I've added 5 ppc per vendor for the first 20. C'mon everyone else. It doesn't take much if everyone chips in a little to get these bounties up. If you believe in PPC put your PPC where your mouth is. Well maybe I nevermind. ;o) Pony up!

Here, I altered the design just a little bit to connect the two P's at the top and in the middle so it doesn't look like it says IP anymore. What do you think? I actually like the P symbol more now that it's squished closer together. It looks better than the spaced out version we were working with.

This is Excellent!!!!!
I agree this one here is perfect.

This catches the eye in a good way. Has my vote.
Ditto for me.
I really like the single leaf versus the multi. It feels/looks clean and simple. The version that has the 4 leaves on it seems too busy to me, but maybe that's just me.
