If you're interested in MAIA, go post in that thread:

So since mammix2 is shifting responsibility onto us, I want everyone who's interested in further MAIA development to post in this thread right now. No trolling, no bullshit. Post only if you want this project to continue.

Yes im concentrating on BoostCoin right now, as i said in a previous post, if there is enough community interest, i will also continue to develop MaiaCoin as well.

Hey sucksyd

Yes im concentrating on BoostCoin right now, as i said in a previous post, if there is enough community interest, i will also continue to develop MaiaCoin as well.

I'm interested!

Also I'm afraid you have no right to abandon Maiacoin. You even had a 1% premine + 1% from each block for long term support. Once the coin is launched and began trading, you have responsibilities to all market participants as a developer. If you're walking away so easily, you shouldn't have even started this in the first place.

And do you even care about your reputation? Do you realise that abandoning Maiacoin will hurt Boostcoin as well?

Hey monopodman

I understand why you are saying this, but also understand that i did not spend the Pre-Mine, look at this picture i took a week ago...

MaiaCoin simply did not gain enough interest, straight after it was listed on Bittrex all the miners dumped then the price gradually fell away. I always believe in the work i do, but judging by the comments i received when Launching MaiaCoin many people just wanted to see it fail...

At the moment only a few people including yourself have expressed an interest in keeping MaiaCoin running. If more and More people come forward either here or on the MaiaCoin thread then i'll consider restarting the project.

Thanks

Dude, it's twisted logic. Trying to find an excuse by blaming everyone but yourself? People come when they see a good dev. NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. If you can't handle it, go away and never develop altcoins.

It's really funny how the IRC coinmarkets cartel is trying to kill Syscoin.

Yeah same fuckfaces who were pumping VIA and RZR – no shame, no dignity

46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 18, 2014, 10:06:55 AM
We are just sorting out pools guys. Still a few who have not updated as they should have. Means there are still a lot of bad nodes on the network and this is causing issues
it seems the dev are working on it,why people still dump ? just because of fork issue?

Devs have proven that they can react and fix the problems.
Also I see it is symbolic gesture to send back those 250 BTC.
Those guys must feel terrible now since they put lots of effort into this coin and yet it became failure at launch and will go to history as one of the biggest fails in crypto launch-wise. I am not saying that the coin is over, it might As well get pumped but that is not the original vision. The coin is marked and the devs are marked and probably their names will be big NO sign and they are burned in crypto forever. Maybe some trust can be gained back. I guess building 1500 BTC buy wall with all those ICO money would be a smart move. Most people would take it as an Opportunity to exit the coin, but some will stay. Devs will lack development funds buy dropping those 1500 BTC might be one way to save the coin.

Well there's already a 55 BTC wall on mintpal @ IPO price. People are welcome to exit!

P.S.

Use only these 3 nodes in syscoin.conf:

addnode=76.25.201.234:8369
addnode=67.253.247.113:8369
addnode=node.syscoin.me:6369

I really like your approach as a dev!
And I'm also surprised with the lack of interest from the crypto community. You definitely need better exposure!

What are your plans about cryptoxindia.com? Are you considering teaming up with unocoin.com at the same time (at least getting SFR on unocoin before launching your own exchange)?

You're doing a lot of work but it's not recognised by the market at all...

I witnessed a handful of crypto "IPOs" so obviously I was sceptical about this one as well. But I'm pleasantly surprised! Nice to see altcoins helping the world instead of cultivating greed and selfishness.

But don't you think Devs should be doing more? What happened to incryptex?

If Devs were more active, you wouldn't have an opportunity to buy EAC at 13 satoshi! And if anything, incryptex wasn't supposed to be made overnight. Knowing the marketing, I'm expecting the devs not to announce news until they buy up all the cheap coins. Would be a very smart decision  Grin
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [2014 FLAGSHIP ALT] *EarthCoin* EAC +1 Community, +1 Exec Team, +1 Best Talent on: April 05, 2014, 02:41:58 PM
Regardless of the coin community / development, a pure price speculation always takes place. Shitcoins are pumped to enormous market caps, while established legitimate coins are dumped below the ground. If you're bagholding EAC, the best you can do is to buy at the 10-13 satoshi bottom to lower your average price. If you're not afraid to hold your coins, they why are you afraid to buy more and push with the buy support? EAC eventually will be pumped, but all you'd get is breaking even if you don't buy now. Trade smart – buy at the bottom, when very few buy. Sell at the top, when everybody else is chasing the train!

Imagine that you bought 500,000 EAC at 120 satoshi. You paid 0.6 BTC, but your coins are worth only 0.06 BTC right now. You need the price to go back to 120 satoshi to break even.

If you buy 1,500,000 EAC at 12 satoshi, you'll pay 0.18 BTC. Your average EAC price will drop from 120 satoshi to 39 satoshi.
If you buy 3,000,000 EAC at 12 satoshi, you'll pay 0.36 BTC. Your average EAC price will drop from 120 satoshi to 27 satoshi.
If you buy 6,000,000 EAC at 12 satoshi, you'll pay 0.72 BTC. Your average EAC price will drop from 120 satoshi to 20 satoshi.

Math is simple Smiley

If following these rules were easy, they won't work anymore. You don't make money if you do the same as everyone else is doing (dumping EAC).
And you won't make money if you buy EAC at the peak when it goes back up to 50-200 satoshi or so.

Sorry to disappoint you but this does not work well. I think as coins will increase in value depending on their acceptance and trust.

If your chart is true, tell me why Catcoin not worth the same as 1 Bitcoin

You're right, the market cap depends on acceptance and that's why catcoin doesn't worth 1 BTC. Many coins with similar background and vastly different supply have almost the same market cap though, and price per coin magically settles according to coin number. I believe that coin price is mainly the function of the adoption level and mining profitability. But there're two extremes:

1. Very big number of coins. I'm talking few billions or higher. This is ultimately reflected in low price per coin, but it's easier to reach very high market cap. Reason one is trading against BTC, when 1 satoshi increment represents a huge % change – coin is easier to pump. Reason two is that it seems to be easier for market to accept a high cap with low price per coin and huge number of coins than something in the middle (close to bitcoin proportions). However, there've been too many scamcoins/jokecoins/clones with billions/trillions and everyone is tired of those.

2. Very small number of coins. I can only think about RPC, 42 and BitBar. Trading against high BTC price per coin can bring attention on an exchange and the coin will stand apart. I believe that with proper promotion this approach could be very successful! And it's relatively new to the market (most new coins are from the first group)

I've got a copyright infringement lawsuit from the Federal Reserve. It seems like they have ultimate rights to make nothing and get money for it. I'm trying to find the solution atm.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Much love for earth and doge community!! on: January 06, 2014, 08:30:15 PM
Well, so I guess you've met a nice half of the EAC community! I'm facing another half – the one currently dumping on coinedump.com in their next attempt to bring the price down  Angry So spread the word that dumping good coins on low-volume exchanges is a very filthy practice (thank god the same people will bring it back in a few hours, but still….) I don't really think online IQ tests are a very good indicator of intelligence, to be fair.

Only paid online tests are good indicators, if you know what I mean  Grin
