How about taking care of MaiaCoin as well?

Well, one could virtually copy&paste coded "wallet features" from one coin to the next.  It's not as though the work needs to be done twice.

But if a community is a bunch of ppl standing in a line with their hands out waiting for the one&only "magic dev" to provide "new feature" which will magically "make you free money", well most people will be waiting a LONG time for their free money.

Instead we have no "development", no "long term support", but the dev still got his 1% premine (effectively 2%, if you include 5 coins from each block)

I don't disagree with you. I'm just saying that people's faith in an unproven developer to somehow "make" a random coin into something, was probably misplaced.

A big part is that people have allowed themselves to be fooled into being impressed by logically simple "features" like POS, X13, X15, Tor Integration, Wallet Chat, etc.

There's no clever coding in those things - not by the bandwagoners, at least. Every one of those "features" has been done before by other coins - open source coins! - for which the code was always there for the copying, by anyone that wished to do so.

Taking a month to copy and adapt some snippets of code from other coins, to result in a couple of new "features" that were already out in the wide world of open source - and which don't really have a real world use anyway! - well, don't fall for it twice, is all I can say...

I've nothing against Boostcoin - it's no worse than a ton of other coins, some of which are successful - but yes, a spade is a spade, and there's no getting away from that.

When i launched MaiaCoin i got slated for not taking care of BoostCoin, but carried on anyway, i did provide some updates to MaiaCoin to try and help the market price, but that didn't work. No one was really interested in MaiaCoin, all the miners dumped their coins as soon as they could but the coin was never manipulated enough by the traders so eventually died off. Now its been delisted from bittrex,

If the majority of the community want me to continue developing MaiaCoin then i will, but then i will get the BoostCoin community saying why am i not concentrating on BoostCoin....

Oh BTW i havent dumped all the coins, just so you know! Here is a pic of the MaiaCoin wallet just taken

I'm glad you are still with the coin.
I have a sugestion for both of your recent coins ( Maiacoin and Boostcoin).
You could merge the 2 chains with rebranding with some new algo(similar to Deepcoin development).
Make it PoW infinite such as Freshcoin and I think the comunity will support you. You are wellcome on the chineese market too (thats positive I think).

It wouldn't require too much work to revive MaiaCoin, I think you already spent a lot of resources to just give up (it won't make sense). I think you should provide updates and it'll get Maia back on exchange (maybe poloniex at least?). All you need to do is start posting updates!

There's no unreasonable FUD or speculation around MaiaCoin, it just slowed down and stopped trading due to the lack of dev activity. I'm pretty sure it could be brought back the same way

BoostCoin V3.3.1.0 (with Tor integrated)

As promised, here is the very latest BoostCoin release that includes Tor integrated into the wallet, ensuring that your IP and location details are hidden, and that connectivity between wallets and nodes only happens via Tor. Alongside the Encrypted Messaging system, BoostCoin now gives you the capability to communicate with friends anonymously, and to keep you location private behind the Tor network.

To ensure a smooth transition I've created a hybrid network where both the previous v3.2.0.1 and the new Tor version v3.3.1.0 can still communicate with each other, this will ensure the block chain is stable while everyone moves over to the new wallet.

Nodes:
For version 3.2.0.1, the existing hard coded seed nodes will continue to provide service as normal, while the transition takes place
For version 3.3.1.0, you will need to manually add the following nodes to get connected to the extended Tor network.

Also I'm afraid you have no right to abandon Maiacoin. You even had a 1% premine + 1% from each block for long term support. Once the coin is launched and began trading, you have responsibilities to all market participants as a developer. If you're walking away so easily, you shouldn't have even started this in the first place.

And do you even care about your reputation? Do you realise that abandoning Maiacoin will hurt Boostcoin as well?

Actually the only reason I bought the coin was because your name was behind it and there was a chance that it would end up with new features like what is happening here.Also c-pay was a great concept also.Not sure how the peeps are going to take it but I will put it to them on the thread.rgds
