41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoin are you bullish on, which are you bearish? on: October 03, 2018, 11:15:30 AM
I think that in 5 years we will be able to see such coins as Monero, EOS, Dash, NEM, Qtum, OmiseGo, Neo, Etherium, Stellar, IOTA, Zcash, Tezos, Acon.
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your HODL motivation on: October 03, 2018, 08:33:09 AM
In a few months, it would be ten years since the first transaction was made on the bitcoin blockchain by Satoshi Nakamoto (whoever he, she or they are). A decade down the road, bitcoin has grown in many aspects, adoption, value, circulation. And with just a couple of bitcoin yet to be mined, we are entering a new phase. And we might only have a few of the early adopters left in the bitcoin space, some bought a couple of pizzas and some cashed out during the series of pumps we have had over the years, some also panic sold during dumps.

What motivates you to Hodl?

Hodling or more conventionally put, long-term investment has always been a part of financial and commercial investments. And people were quick to identify the potential of profits in cryptocurrency due to the high volatility. And it was accepted it as a digital asset.

Hodling in such a space which is prone to wide sudden fluctuations is easier said than done. The emotional strain. One of my biggest motivation to Hodl is recognizing that bitcoin is not a pump and dump scheme, this for me is the most important motivation to hold. And you would be less bothered by intermittent value drops and rises.

If you are into bitcoin for the product and not profit, then you would be less interested in the profits and more interested in its increased adoption and application. Then you can view it as national currencies, which have value based on what it can purchase, but bitcoin has more applications as it is built on the blockchain technology.

Some can stay away from active participation, and it is possible to combine trading and hodling.

- A trader can also be a hodler. You have to set out your priorities and set aside a portion of your capital. If you're trading the same currency, (eg bitcoin), it would help to have a seperate wallet where you store you frozen assets and those available for trade.

Of course you should have disciplined yourself and learnt how to control your emotions and whims, otherwise you can't Hodl successfully.

What do you hope for the future?

This currency still has a long way to go, and of course we all look forward to a day where bitcoin would be an accepted global currency, that can be used to make purchases both online and offline. I lean more to online, as the world is going digital.

Increased adoption would also be helpful to governments and the citizenry, especially in developing countries, like Nigeria. And we are sure to discover other applications of the blockchain technology, as the qualities of transparency and decentralizatiom would be invaluable in those states.

What's your biggest fear?

Centralization. Bitcoin was created to be an alternative to the conventional banking sector. And to give it's users freedom and control, complete control. I fear a day where we would Los that control to governments and banks.
And I don't think global regulation is imperative for mass adoption.
The system was well designed to function without any control or supervision. And it's users need not to trust any human factor but the technology, the bitcoin technology.

The only motivation for retention is the belief in a possible return on investment and the increase in capital. It seems to me that there are no other motivations except this one.
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading volume hits record high in hyperinflationist Venezuela on: October 03, 2018, 08:02:08 AM
Last week Venezuelans traded bitcoins worth nearly 300 million Bolivars (Bs) and the record could be broken again as thus far this week bitcoin worth more than 292 million Bs has already been traded. This is in continuation of a trend on the BTC/VES pair that began earlier in 2018.
Apart from an increase in demand for bitcoins as a hedge against the high inflationary conditions in Venezuela, part of the reason for the record trading volumes in the BTC/VES pair has to do with the devaluation of the currency in August.

With the rapid decline in the Bolivar's worth, where are Venezuelans obtaining the funds to buy Bitcoin and will the influx of Bitcoin cause even the Petro cryptocurrency to be worthless?

Cryptocurrency Petra will be interesting for Venezuelans only when the economy of the token will work and citizens will see in it a favor. Of course, if the token is useless, then preference will be given in the direction of Bitcoin.

how Binance Decentralized Crypto Exchange Beta Launch in 2019 Will Impact the Market
https://www.ccn.com/how-binance-decentralized-crypto-exchange-beta-launch-in-2019-will-impact-the-market/

Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange by daily trading volume, is set to launch a beta version of its decentralized exchange (DEX) by early 2019.

Changpeng Zhao, the CEO of Binance better known to the community as CZ, said on Saturday:

“Just had a productive meeting for Binance DEX (decentralized exchange), where BNB will be native gas, and the exchange don’t control user funds. Aiming for a public beta end of the year/early next year. Yes, we work on Saturdays, non stop.”

Why is Binance Launching a DEX?

In July, on CNBC Crypto Trader hosted by Ran Neuner, CZ stated that he personally believes decentralized exchange is the future of crypto.

In the long-term, CZ explained that users will be able to utilize non-custodial wallets to trade cryptocurrencies in a peer-to-peer manner with full control over their funds.

“I believe that decentralized exchange is the future. I don’t know when that future will come yet. I think we’re at an early stage for that so I don’t know if it’s a year, two years, three years, or five years. I don’t know but we got to be ready for it,” he said.

That's indeed good news.
Binance is a very good exchange, and they will probably make a good work with Dex.
As they have money, it can be safe an easy to use. I agree with him, Dex are the future.

binance has never been hacked, but they have few month in the market.
DEX surpasses centralized exchanges in all characteristics. The only thing missing is the volume. If the Binance will provides its DEX with big trading volume, then this can be a starting point for all users to switch to DEX and I will immediately buy Waves and BitShares.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is better: utility or security token? on: October 02, 2018, 04:34:46 PM
Hi, BitcoinTalk. Please, can you help me, from the investors point of view what is better UTILITY or SECURITY token?
At the moment, these are UTILITY, but I am making plans for the growth of SECURITY due to the fact that every year the governments want to more and more control the flow of funds.
46  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency news on: October 02, 2018, 04:25:21 PM
That is a great news indeed for cryptocurrency where it had been more adopted to many countries and hoping that this crypto atm will also be established globally. With this, I think crypto currency will be more recognized  around the globe and it paved way to give a chance to the people that crypto atm has a very important role in banking and transaction activities.
What happened in the end?
ATM was installed in the mall?
Is it fully functioning?
Is it actively used?
I really want to get answers to these questions
47  Economy / Economics / Re: Five reasons 2018 could be the best year yet for cryptocurrencies. on: October 02, 2018, 04:16:08 PM
I believe that the triangle that is now formed on the chart will be expanded and we will see a sideways movement. For global growth, lateral movement is necessary for gaining positions.
48  Economy / Economics / Re: Executives are selling off their company's stock at a record pace on: October 02, 2018, 04:02:53 PM

Corporate insiders are dumping stock in their companies at a rate not seen in 10 years.

With September not yet over, stock sales by company executives reached $5.7 billion, according to data from TrimTabs Investment Research -- the highest September in a decade. August's $10.3 billion in insider sales also reached a 10-year record.

At the same time, stock buybacks are roaring ahead, pumping up U.S. share prices to new heights. Companies this year have announced $827 billion in spending to purchase their own shares -- well above the buybacks that took place during all of 2007, which set the previous annual record.

"Insiders have been committing lots of money for stock buybacks, and they're not doing buybacks because they think stocks are cheap. They're doing to it to pump up the stock so they can sell it," said David Santschi, director of liquidity research at TrimTabs.

Some investors like buybacks because they boost the value of the rest of the company's stock. They also bolster top executives' pay, much of which comes in the form of shares. But they're a purely financial play that don't improve a company's position in the long term, the way investing in equipment or in hiring might.

"Stock buybacks have seemed to be the main use of the corporate tax savings this year. Acquisitions haven't been particularly high, and we're not seeing much wage growth," Santschi added.

TrimTabs' figures underestimate the true amount of corporate insider activity, Santschi noted, because only certain insiders -- a company's highest-ranking executives or directors, as well as investors who hold more than 10 percent of the stock -- are required to disclose stock sales. So nonexecutive employees who sell stock aren't included in this measure.

Buybacks have come under scrutiny of late, with Securities and Exchange Commissioner Robert Jackson calling them out in a recent speech. "We give stock to corporate managers to convince them to create the kind of long-term value that benefits American companies and the workers and communities they serve," he said. "Instead, what we are seeing is that executives are using buybacks as a chance to cash out their compensation at investor expense." In June, a group of senators asked the SEC to review its buyback rules.

Said Santschi: "Insiders are doing one thing with their own money, and another thing with shareholders' money."

....

I've noticed holders of real estate in my area investing more effort into unloading their holdings @ lower prices on the market. I don't pay much attention to real estate but it seems as if they've visibly shifted from "long term hold" to "short term sell" mode.

If execs of large corporations are also investing more effort into unloading their holdings, it could be significant in terms of what direction things will take in the future. We could be witnessing an exodus of big players from markets on the expectation of dwindling sales and plummeting demand based on a lack of growth in wages coupled with tapped out credit, higher inflation, etc.

Uncertain what impact this could have upon bitcoin or crypto if my guesses turn out to be accurate. Maybe this is already reflected in the decreasing values of bitcoin cash, ethereum and other crypto--which could be related to execs dumping their holdings under the expectation that higher value isn't likely to be sustained by growing demand?
If such a situation really exists in the market, then we will can see how a part of the capital leaves the stock market. The question becomes interesting: where will this capital go? if at least a small part of it goes into crypto currencies, then we will have good times for holders.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advertising at google or promote social media? on: September 28, 2018, 09:53:03 AM
Of course, Google and bloggers who are trusted on YouTube or in the telegraph will give the maximum effect from the advertising company. All promotions that are conducted through the bounty - don't collect money. Because advertising is spinning among the community of bounty hunters and doesn't reach the investor. Company need to clearly target advertising to target audience.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why invest in altcoin? on: September 28, 2018, 09:47:53 AM
For example, when people see that Qtum was cost $ 105, and now it is 30 times less, then most people generate information about the possibility of increasing their capital 30 times, because after all, the price should return to its maximum.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is better for hodl? ETC or NEO? on: September 28, 2018, 09:44:59 AM
I don't like forks. I vote for the original blockchains. I do not like ETC, BCH, Zclassic, Litecoin and others. In particular, the ETC does nothing, I do not see the results of the development. Answering the question - of course NEO.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What do you think about the Qtum? on: September 27, 2018, 10:53:41 AM
I am a holder of a small amount of coins and I'm wondering what other people think about the project.
In addition to the technology that Qtum is trying to implement, I like the presence of PoS protocol, large volume of trades, presence on all significant exchanges, Circulating Supply is 89% of Total Supply.

53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about NEM? on: September 27, 2018, 10:06:39 AM
I often see people in the forum or in telegram channels who laughing at NEM holders, calling them NEM sectarians. Why is this happening? This is especially common in the Dash community.
As for me, Nem is an interesting asset for long-term investment.
54  Economy / Economics / Re: Government regulation on cryptocurrency, GOOD or BAD? on: September 27, 2018, 09:58:56 AM
I believe that starting to regulate IСO and to tighten the rules for conducting IСO is very important now. It's necessary to protect stupid investors if they can not do it themselves. But trying to solve the problem black market of crypto currencys is useless process. This market existed before the crypto currency born and can exist without them.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange it or Hold it on: September 27, 2018, 09:50:07 AM
I will exchange immediately. And if the token is good, then I can buy it at a lower price. All the airdrop tokens fall in price, even in a growing market.
56  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin x banks on: September 26, 2018, 03:59:50 PM
Everyone understands that the blockchain is an innovative technology of the distributed registry, but here's how to implement it, that's the main task. It's like everyone understands that electric cars are the future, but petrol and diesel engines are still used. On the way of acceptance and recognition of crypto-currencies are the  financial institutions and the government, who are afraid of losing control over finances.
57  Economy / Economics / Re: Investors continue to invest in crypto-currency on: September 26, 2018, 03:49:18 PM
For some reason, all people rejoice at the growth of investment in ICO, but I'm saddened by the fact that the market does not understand the whole danger of investing in ICO. It would be better if for this money to acquire crypto currencies, which are already on the exchange and engaged in development activities.
58  Economy / Economics / Re: CryptoCurrencies around the GLOBE on: September 26, 2018, 03:42:50 PM
What do you think about the popularity of Cryptocurrencies around the world, do you think many people now are aware of this Technology currencies?, how much percentage would you think and how can we expose and spread this? Smiley Smiley

It is enough that in the whole world there is a crisis. Where in this country citizens of weak countries will bear money? In precious metals, stocks, foreign currency, as well as in the crypto currency. Turkey, Argentina is an example.
59  Economy / Economics / Re: Even your fiat is not totally secure! on: September 26, 2018, 03:38:56 PM
A lot of people have always worried about the security of bitcoin and cryptocurrency which is why they have decided to stay away from investing in it. You must also note that even the fiat money that you may have can also be liable to theft. The earlier you stop giving flimsy excuses, the better. The decision is yours!
Moreover, I want to say that keeping the crypto currency is safer then other currency. Sufficiently hide the key from your wallet and that's it. But with fiat money everything is different, they occupy a certain space for storage. And if you take them to the bank, then in many countries they will ask questions about where you take the money. It has long been an understandable fact that electronic money is more convenient than cash, and crypto currencies are perfection.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoin should I trade currently ? on: September 25, 2018, 07:32:02 PM
I want to spend a part of my money to trade, but I'm considering about which one should I buy and sell this time, my friends advice LCS, BNB, XPR, ONT.
How do you think guys ? And how about collect a little bit ETH at this time ?
Among all the offered coins, I would choose only BNB, ONT, ETH. I would not get involved with others coins. Especially ripple, even Jed McCaleb sells out his ripple coins. This certainly should be an excuse for reflection.
