I appreciate your honourable and continuously efforts to lower the difficulty by demotivating the miners. May the Crypto Gods be with you! Btw: I pay 0.265USD/kWh and I'm still at 140%R.O.I. (after all exchange fees, based only on electricity costs, let's keep hardware out of that equation, lol); But not with ETH. (Don't ask. I won't tell.) I have still 2 to 3 weeks left before turning off the rigs. What will indeed happen for all of us at some point in the future. |

Keep in mind that since yesterday the GTX 1060 3GB cannot mine anymore Ethereum due to DAG 177 difficulty increase so if you have not yet bought your cards do not buy one of these.
DAG won't reach 3gb until a year from now, if you are unable to mine then you're getting screwed by your OS (win 10 i'm guessing?) There is no reason not to use win 7 or linux on a 1060 rig. Also DAG size is unrelated to difficulty. Moreover ETH DAG will never reach 3GB before it goes PoS. And will ETC still be a relevant mining coin next year? The other obscure ethash coins will never reach 3GB before they vanish. Word. |

So yes you can still make a lot of money from mining right now.. but maybe not if you mine the "most profitable coins of the moment" .. you could try to research and mine other coins that could makes you rich ...

In fact the total marketcap of all coins is no different than it was just 4 months ago.
But there will no new bull run for a long time. Those people that entered the market in December/January looking at losses up to 80%. Played to death by P&D teams. Traumatized, sitting in the basement with a double-barrel shotgung into the mouth. Potential new investors are aware of these destroyed lifes.  We have to wait for the next generation of "Greatest Fools" in the Greater-Fool-Theory.  Could take up to 2 years. Additionally, the banks declared war on decentralized cryptocurrencies. And the banks always win. Crypto was a funny laughable thing until December. But then it became threat. Maybe they will let it go as soon BTC hits triple digits. Hehe. |

It's not dead. I pay hilarious 0.21 c/KWh and still make 20 cents per day and card. THAT'S ALMOST ONE CENT PER HOUR!!!! I have still up to 3 days left before I pull the plug! Woohooo! |

GPU mining will die. For some time. Coin prices falling off of a cliff and difficulty still goes up. Imagine what happens when prices go up  : Difficulty goes ballistic and profits will not increase. As long you have no free electricity you will go red and it will be a long lasting drought. Not until the big asic farms are giving up there will be gpu revival. So let's hope BTC hits triple digits for a year or so, crypto is declared dead and the hype has vanished, then we can dust our gpus. |

Our religious enthusiasm for mining and the will to go even through negative spans will prolong the suffering. The market can't recover as fast as the difficulty goes up. Too many MiningTards and nobody gives up. It's about sheer survival now. Bwahahahahahaha. *screech* And the 0.2¢/kWh dudes may just a few weeks ahead of the 0.1¢/kWh miners and so on. Funny is, many people here use the money they earn on crypto to pay electricity bill which means as price crashes as they get afraid and sell cause they need to cover the electricity bill, so much fun hehe, right now if you pay $0.1 per kw then it means 30% is going to pay the electricity bill, now if you pay $0.2 which is most people around the world then it means 60%. https://whattomine.com/coins/151-eth-ethash?utf8=%E2%9C%93&hr=30&p=130&fee=2.0&cost=0.2&hcost=440&commit=CalculateLatest check says a rx 580 30mhs gives you $0.81 per day but is much lower than that, pools never pay what whattomine shows, always 30% less so it means a rx 580 is giving you a return of $0.50 per day and given the rx 580 price of $440 then you return of investment is around 880 days but you need to take into account the cpu, memory ram, power supply, hard drive, so it means you roi is close to 1000 days right now per gpu on eth which is the most profitable coin given whattomine right now. 1000 days is around 3 years. The good thing is, soon will be plenty of rx 580 for $100 - $170 to buy hehe hehe. |
