41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ridiculously premined alt coins on: December 10, 2013, 09:51:47 PM
It's not out yet, but 10% of all curecoins minted will go straight to the devs.  (45% miners, 45% folders, 10% devs)
Meh why not, I like the concept.

46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: solo mining ltc, is luck still involved? on: December 08, 2013, 07:34:06 PM
cheers guys, i feel like taking a gamble haha,

does time come into account with finding a block, eg is it possible to find one after a day, or a week, or will it technically take day 30 days etc..

Time don't matter. I would advice against solo mining with that hashrate. The variance is to high. If you want to gamble sports betting is more fun. Smiley
+1
You can also buy a lottery ticket, you might have more luck and rewards Smiley
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mining real USD on: December 08, 2013, 06:37:58 PM
If it's not Scrypt / SHA256 stuff but something really innovative then why not.
However your USD will only be worth what people think it's worth, you can't just say my USDCoin := 1 USD

NXT

- Nouveau software. Non basé sur Bitcoind.
- 100% Proof-of-Stake. Pas d'attaque 51% possible.
- Pas de blockchain saturé
- Transactions rapide
- Aucun achat de hardware requis pour miner

Sera inclut dans le client :

- Currency Exchange
- Stock Exchange
- Colored Coins Implementation (This allows Nxt accounts to function as Gateways for other currencies.)
- Marketplace
- Messaging
- Voting

http://forum.emunie.com/index.php/topic/617-what-weve-learned-from-nxt-coin/

49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] EmerCoin on: December 08, 2013, 05:55:06 PM

52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Dogecoin Pool doge.scryptpools.com - 2% fee on: December 08, 2013, 11:40:42 AM
Wait, this isn't a joke?
I took a look at the pool stats and there's a lot more hash power than I thought would be put on a for-fun-joke-coin.
I would quote the rate but the site went down, it was at least a few megahashes.

no laugh doge
many logo
good currency
much millionaire
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency - many coin - wow on: December 08, 2013, 11:34:06 AM

54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Who's still CPU mining? on: December 07, 2013, 09:04:58 PM
people with free electricity

They don't exists ! Perhaps it is more appropriate to say: people who steal electricity
Why to assume such a risk ? Better buy BTC/LTC, wait for a good price, then trade for a nice profit!
It is more safe too!

My electricity bill is a fixed amount per month, so whether I mine or not the costs will be the same.
It's not free electricity but it's not a theft either.

Where do you stay?

55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoin is best mined with CPU only? on: December 07, 2013, 12:07:41 PM
PTS Without a doubt.
Also, expect PTS prices to skyrocket Smiley
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Perhaps we have not yet seen the true alternate crpyto on: December 07, 2013, 10:56:43 AM
I think Curecoins / Gridcoins really have potential as they're focusing on science research which is innovative rather than wasting computing power.

However curecoins dev are not giving any news on the project nor when it could be launched... it feels like they don't realise the potential of such coins
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Illustrated CureCoin(Alpha) Mining Guide! on: December 06, 2013, 09:45:15 PM
Still no news about Curecoin launch ?
