41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: *EarthCoin* EAC/BTC GOOGLE DOC Exchange *EarthCoin* on: December 23, 2013, 09:51:25 AM
Wahoo, formatting on DOC Exchange is almost complete: Got some stats for you earthcoin lovers:

Average Sell: (EAC per BTC)       ~      Average Buy: (BTC per EAC)
0.000077571428571                       ~      0.00000019125

Sorry about the rounding... these are taken from the DOC Exchange and I have not figured out the cell options yet.

Community still has a way to go to bring in these orders to match but its cool to watch.

Choice guys, DOC Exchange is looking nice and pretty. Big mismatch between buy and sell at the moment as the community selects pricing :-). Please let me know what successful trades have been performed and the rates involved so that I can set a standard for the buy / sell.

Test it first on some new coin with small difficulty, so you know you doing it right

Or put bitcoin on testnet.

Only for btc dude.

You will need to make a config file for the altcoin wallet you want to mine to and dump it in its program files store.

Needs to be along the line of altcoin.conf:

server=1
rpcuser=user
Rpcpassword=password
Rcpport=1234 (specify a port)
Allowip=ipofminer

Then start your wallet and point ur miner to the wallet machines ip (I.e. 127.0.0.1 if on same machine), just enter the rpc details where you would usually put the pool details.

Sorry, on mobile so it's hard to write a full instruct-able.

I thought about this question when it comes to Anarchy.

How long would it take for majority to adapt to anarchy, that is start to follow rational non-aggresive principles. And majority of the destructive forces to be forced out of market by consumer choise?

That is if we were to start now?

On mobile so can't embed sorry.

Whitest kids you know - anarchy.

I think anarchy is not the answer, I think a change of the people that we have in govt from millionaires to actual politics, sciences and social science majors in the office.... People who actually have a clue instead of puppets being fingered by corporate interests.

And anything over 15% in taxes is ridiculous.

Yo dude,

GUIminer has the option to solo mine and it has a script to do so easily :-) hope it helps. Otherwise get reading buddy cause ya have to make some config files and what not.

Lol, each to their own, 1.5 - 2% is hardly making someone else rich from your contributions and for consitiency of payouts and ease of use it's pretty good but like I said each to their own.

Awesome if you get a block on btc, 12k +.... Pretty sweet.

Me personally, I will only mine solo if difficulty is low enough for me to see return in a week or less, I'd rather take a steady income than a chance, I don't buy lotto tickets.

Go P2Pool or something similar, it's very close to solo mining.

Cgminer ftw.

Hi dude,

I would be hesitant to purchase anything below 100gh/s mark for bitcoin. Bitcoin network is growing exponentially and with all the terra hash miners coming into play Q1/Q2 next year you will be making your power costs if not a loss, plus future proofing isn't a bad thing.

However that said there is an absolute array of other SHA-256 crypto currencies which may be profitable with a unit like the one you are looking at in the long term.

You can still get in a share of bitcoin if you can get the units in hand ASAP, you could get 50-80 USD a day but as the network hash rate increases your profitability will decline. Check out Coinwarz for profitability and they link in heaps of the alternative crypto-currencies.

Just be wary if it will take a month to pay off the unit because the exponential network strength rate vs exchange rate can throw your estimates off wildly. Always account for the worst case scenario!!!!!!

I hope this helps and best of luck with your mining endeavour.
