41  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling cashback services? on: January 23, 2020, 04:45:11 PM
I know a gambling platform that gives back a weekly cash rebate to some of their loyal members. You have to meet some requirements though.
Only disadvantage its not a crypto platform. Only fiat is possible on their platform.

43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any sportsbook that allows parlay from the same game? on: January 23, 2020, 03:07:20 PM
I'm wondering this because Nitrogen, which is where I usually play on, doesn't allow this. They only allow cross game parlays.

I'm not familiar with how the sportsbook world works in general since I'm just a casual player.

Is it industry standard to reject multi-bets from the same game (e.g. betting on ML as well as the spread, or ML as well as over/under)? Are there any crypto operators that allow you to do this?

So far as I know I havent seen a crypto bookie offering cross game parlays but I do know that the big fiat bookies offer this feature. I practically play them daily.

There are no bookies who will allow this. It's too risky for them.

Imagine in a football match a bookie allow you to make selections in a parley from the same match. Let's say team X has very good chance to win and in this case you go with:
Team X to win
Team X to win or draw
Team X to win in draw no bet
Team X to score over 0.5 goals
Team X to qualify
Team X to win at least one half
Notice you already got a 6 selection parley only if team X wins.

By the way, I had such thing in mind and still have it in mind to make a system which will allow multibet from same match. I am still experimenting it with Cricket matches.

Check some of the multibet in same event on here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5200193.msg53035787#msg53035787

The example you gave is not exactly correct. there are bookies offering cross betting parlays on the same game but not every selection is possible for example you cannot combine team x to win and team x to win or draw. In below picture you see one I played recently on the same game.
As I said I play them practically daily. But in my bet builders (that's how they are called) I very often compose a 1 game accumulator and add goal scorers and players getting carded. But I sometimes also compose bet builders for example team x to win , team x to lead at half time, over 2.5 goals and both teams to score ..... or something like that

44  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: betting exchange or regular sports book on: January 23, 2020, 02:45:25 PM
Nice to see all comments. Of course everyone has its own opinions.

Me personally like a betting exchange more than a sports book cause it gives me much more options. I can just gamble by backing or laying a selection. But a betting exchange also gives me the opportunity to scalp , swing trade or regular trade the sports markets. And that's what it makes it much more fun than a regular sports book. On a regular book you just place your bets and wait. On a betting exchange I sometimes am trading 8-12 hours on a day.
but don't get me wrong I love regular sports books as well. Beside trading the sports markets I am always up for a gamble as well and play some accumulators or system bets.
45  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Running an online Bitcoin gambling website on: January 23, 2020, 02:30:57 PM
I have a few questions regarding running a Bitcoin gambling website online.

I am located in Canada. So I'm not sure if it's legal for me run a site like this online from within Canada.

If it is legal for me to host the site else where, where is it possible for me to host it and do I need to get it licensed or it's okay to operate without a license since it's crypto.

don't think it would be good or even allowed to start one based in Canada... but there are several ways to launch a crypto casino even when you are based in canada. I am always open for chat if you want to
46  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know if a gambling site is scam or not? on: January 22, 2020, 08:05:35 PM
Sometimes you just know and see if a site is a scam. There are many of them.

but what I am seeing a lot lately is that lot of new project get labeled as scam when they launch. but honestly every new project needs to get a fair chance to get their project into business. But I agree that projects can do as much as possible to build trust.

· If doing a giveaway they need to deliver proof of funds held
· Giveaway some freebie money for people to try out
· Try to attract a familiar name to the brand. for example a poker room can attract a famous brand ambassador
· Close deals with big name brands

In my opinion when I see a new project that is willing to spend money on advertising and on giveaways right from the start than they mostly have good intentions. Scammers are not giving away or spending thousands of dollar to scam. A scam project tries to launch with a less resources as possible.
47  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: betting exchange or regular sports book on: January 22, 2020, 01:06:36 PM
I don't know if many of you guys have experience with betting exchanges where there is no interruption of a bookmaker that is determing the odds.
I personally like betting on a betting exchange more than placing bets on a regular exchange and particular for 3 reasons.

· Firstly on betting exchanges you mostly have better odds than on a regular sports book.
· Secondly you do not play against a bookmaker but by having the opportunity to back and lay bets the odds are entirely determined by the
  punters themselves.
· But my main reason I prefer to bet on an exchange is that bookmakers do not limit winning accounts. On a regular sports book it happens
very often that your account gets locked or limited for some shady reasons but actually the real reason is because you are a winning
player and a bookmaker doesn't make money on winning players. This is different by betting on an exchange. Bookmakers that run a
betting exchange welcome winning and high roller players just because of the fact the 'house' takes a small % commission on all winning
bets. So for them it doesn't matter if there are winning players because a betting exchange offers p2p bets and the house takes a
commission. It is exactly the same as for example a crypto exchange where an exchange takes a small fee on your trades.

I love gambling with crypto but to place my bets on exchanges I am obligated to use fiat bookies like for example Betfair, matchbook or Betdaq. Cause I didn't find a decent sport betting exchange offering crypto deposits. there are a couple crypto betting exchanges like for example Fairlay and 1xbit.com but personally I think they are pretty poor quality exchanges.

I personally would like a crypto betting exchange to appear with all the features like the big boy exchanges like Betfair, Betdaq and matchbook. What do you think?

Can you tell us on which betting exchange do you use ?
I have nor much experienced on betting exchanges and mostly bet on sportsbooks. If the odds are better in betting exchange, i can check that too for my future bets.

Betfair is the most famous betting exchange in the world. Only negative.... for some people at least.... they do not accept crypto and a full kyc procedure is required. Other well known betting exchanges are Betdaq and matchbook.... but same here they are fiat platforms and require kyc. Currently I do not think there is a decent crypto betting exchange around. there are a couple but there liquidity is poor. So that's the reason that I choose for fiat platforms to trade on betting exchanges.

But the advantage is that on a betting exchange you bet P2P. You can back or lay a bet. By laying a bet you actually take the side of the bookmaker. So the bettors themselves act as bookmaker and gambler.

If you consider trying out a betting exchange I advice you to do some research about trading on a betting exchange. By trading instead of gambling you can turn gambling a little bit in investing.
48  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: betting exchange or regular sports book on: January 22, 2020, 12:51:39 PM
Good points.

Yeah I definitely would go for the best odds which is mostly from betting exchange but I don't think there is one betting exchange that covers my favorite sports with good volume, so for now I'd stick to regular crypto sportsbook. Heck even finding a regular crypto sportsbook that covers esports thoroughly is already hard, let alone an exchange Cheesy 6-7% of house edge is the standard I've seen so far. I would love to see lower just like another sport but with not that much competition in the industry, I can't complain.

I usually use the Betfair betting exchange. they apply a 5% commission on winning bets and it decreases depending on the volume you put in. I know others that apply a fixed 2% commission. I know 1 of them is offering Esports on their exchange but as you say there hardly is any liquidity on those markets.
I know a provider that has a huge offer of esports to add to a sports book but there needs to be a sport book that want to add that offer to their existing offer
49  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker talk - Specifically Hold'em - Hands and or strategy on: January 22, 2020, 12:47:59 PM
I do not use specific strategies. I think you need to adjust your gameplay depending on the game you are playing. You cannot apply the same strategy when playing a 6-max turbo as when you play a 9max slow format.
But the key in my strategy is having patience. Do not play to many hands but play the hands you do play perfectly.

I remember once a tournament I won on PokerStars. I remember it was the 10.5$ super knockout with over 3000 participants. Until reaching the final 100 I only played 7% of the hands that I got dealt. In the final stage it increased to 15% and at the final table I turned very aggressive.

But like I said it all depends on the format. If I am playing a turbo or hyper turbo you need to be more aggressive from the start cause the blinds are increasing much faster. When playing a hyper or a turbo I start more aggressive and try to build out my stack as fast as possible to get some room to become more passive mid stage.
50  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: betting exchange or regular sports book on: January 22, 2020, 12:31:30 PM
Had my fair share with both of them, but I'm still used to playing with regular sportsbook. It kind of feels secured (for me that is) and well, since I've used them ever since I started after all. I've tried betting exchanges myself, but it felt like they were sucking me off of my funds kinda feeling, even if I recognize their fees to be minimal and all of that.

I would choose a regular sportsbook because it's what I practice ever since I started to learn sports betting.

I seem to know that there are betting exchange in the gambling world but I am not interested to try to use it, and i think majority of the sports bettor would prefer a regular sportsbook.

Yeah everyone has his own opinion. I am using both on a daily basis.
I use regular sports book to play accumulators, bet builders and system bets.
And I use betting exchanges to 'trade' the betting markets.

I know there are fees involved with betting exchanges but its the same like on a crypto exchange. there you also pay a fee on every buy and sell you execute. But on the other hand I like betting exchanges more cause you do no bet against the house but against other gamblers that lay bets. And having the opportunity to trade the sports markets instead of betting it turns sport betting a little bit more into investing in the sports market. But of course that is my personal opinion.

Another winning pick. Currently our betfair balance is at a break even point but we still have a couple open bets. So now we can start thinking about making some money.

And i am a little excited for tomorrow. I am involved in a 2000€+ betting ticket on colossusbets and we are playing for a 800,000€ jackpot. And i have 2.5% of this ticket. So lets ship big this weekend.

i will try to post some prematch tonight as well.

I am yet to see a profitable sports bettor on the long term. As far as I know the odds are made in such a way that the sportsbooker has an edge over the bettors like on the casino games. I still don't know why would a profitable trader or sports bettor share its winnings on a forum.

it just seems a fun thing to do. I am part of a live betting group as well. We share and analyse our personal bets on a weekly basis. So i do not see anything bad about sharing winnings on a forum.

Many bitcoin sport betting sites unfortunately don’t let you choosing more than one betting line from a single event but I hope this changes soon once they see your thread.I think a betting journey is always beautiful but I don’t think hitting every bet correct from the Tottenham game has high chances to come true.Still I am taking a look at this thread and try to copy a bet or too.

you are right in any way. I havent seen one yet that that offers in game betting on the same game. You also are correct it is not easy to to hit everything correct in the same game. but that's the beauty about this way of betting and the platform i am doing that on. You have the opportunity to do full or partial cashouts. So if you have a couple correct and have doubts about remaining picks you have always the opportunity to lock some profits during the game

Yeah I actually thought none of them offer betting lines from same event, at least, never come across any in my time yet, so this is a first for me. Just to be clear, this is from colossus and you can parlay from the same event? Might look it up in a bit. Learning a new system is going to a be a huge hurdle for new punters but let's see.

My comments on system bets, I like the idea initially, but it's too much management for a casual punter like me. The thing is I seldom include anything in my parlay that I wouldn't otherwise bet on anyway -- a parlay is simply me going for both bets but on one hand.

What do you think of the cashout option too, curious to know if that plays into your system. I never use it, and my main matches are in EPL where last minute goals are common (and cashouts tend to be worth nothing past 70th min). Or is that not even an option for your method?

Not colossus. Colossusbets only offers jackpot pools on sports. The platform i use to put multiple selections on the same game is on Betfair.com. But other platforms like for example Bet365 also offer this kind of betting.
So betfair.com and bet365 are 2 bookies i am 100% sure they offer multi betting on same event. I will keep you updated if i find more.

About the cashout options. I do not use cashouts very often. It depends on the odds of the remaining games and that for example the starting line up changes closer to the game or a player gets injured which affects the probability of the game.
I must admit if i use cashout option it mostly is during the colossus jackpot bets. Sometimes they offer very good cashouts during the progress of 1 of the tickets.

Single bets

I won 15.5€ in the tottenham single game. Cashed out 2.6€ and 12.6€ will roll in to the next single game

During this journey i also want to put bring an entire new way of sport betting to the attention of this community.
This new way of betting is called pool jackpot betting. Instead of picking games with good odds you just pick outcomes on predetemined games. Every jackpot has a guaranteed prize pool. If you are the only winner with all the correct picks you win the entire jackpot.

Colossus offers the opportunity to play solo in this jackpots or team up with a bunch of punters.

Below you see our dreamteam ticket. Me as a captain was picked to compose a 2,000€+ value ticket that is playing for a massive 800,000€ jackpot. I own 2.5% of the ticket so 2.5% of all winnings will come my side. Currently the ticket is almost sold out and we have 193 contributors to the ticket.

I am a huge fan of this pool bets and they already made me some nice money. Its fun to play together and to chase those jackpots as a team. I am also negotiating with colossusbets to launch an exact platform but then dedicated to the crypto community. Currently this jackpots can only be played with fiat money and a KYC procedure is necessary. Colossusbets is under very strict UK gambling regulations
