I am trying to withdraw the remainder of my GEMZ from my Koinify wallet. When I enter in the exact amount I have remaining, I get a pop-up telling me that I don't have enough funds. Am I supposed to deduct the fee for sending? If so, what is that amount, and why isn't Koinify doing this automatically?
I got around that block by subtracting 0.01 from my balance. That request went through, but so far I haven't got a confirm Email from Koinify. For my test withdrawal, I got the Email almost right away. My test withdrawal went through just fine, too. Let me know whether you accurately calculated the sending fee. If so, I guess I'll deduct 0.01 as well and send it on. We're actually covering the transaction fees for you guys. There seems to be a glitch when you max out your balance in sending sometimes, we've been activley debugging it today. Hard to replicate the error locally, it does not happen every time. Apologies, but if you get that error, just deduct 0.01 and all will be good for the time being. Ill be sure to update you all when we have solved that glitch. Thanks for letting us know. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

"FINAL Confirmation: The official numbers are 38,135,367 GEMZ sold for a total of 2,633 BTC ($780,000 @ $296 BTC/USD) for the @getgemsorg sale!"
We have confirmed all the numbers.
...which indicates an initial value of 0.00006904 BTC per GEMZ. (Just to give those interested in buying or selling a reference price.)

I support the initiative to use Telegram.
As for those complaining that the application is not "built from scratch," I wonder if you even know what that means. Do you think they should create their own programming language "from scratch"? Or perhaps have their own chipset made for their own line of cellphones (without depending upon any current technology, of course)? Are they allowed to use trusted cryptographic algorithms for encryption or do you want them to spend time and resources creating ("from scratch") those things, too?
In short, nothing is ever "built from scratch" because everything is always built with and on top of something else. To do otherwise is impossible, and to desire to do otherwise is foolish.

Well Im not so sure...My withdraw order is PENDING already 10h "Server Error"
I requested a withdraw yesterday and it says "Waiting for balance..." and "Processing" :/ Last night I had a withdraw go into "Processing" mode, too. I sent them a support email. Today I see that the funds have been restored to my account. No email from them. Earlier today when I tried to withdraw, I got a popup that says that XCP withdrawals have been disabled. Just now I was able to submit the XCP withdrawal. I tried this about one minute ago, so I will let you know how it goes. UPDATE 1: It looks like the withdrawal is going through. Waiting on confirmations. UPDATE 2: Confirmed. The Bter withdrawal came through.

Lol, 3000 BTC and 8% on top of that. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Fuck, why I'm not tech savvy, this is where money is, not nights without sleep trading. No, you and fulcare don't understand the math. They are raising 3000 BTC, and this is the entire initialization market cap of the project. The 8% that will go to developers is not funded externally. So 8% of the marketcap can be used to pay developers over the life of the project. At current BTC prices, this works out to about $91'200. Do you really think that is too much? I don't.

Excellent news. I'm still waiting to see a game that fully uses the potential of cryptos
Take a look at Huntercoin (HUC). They are still a long way from a smoothly operating user experience, but the underlying POW incentives are there. Playing the game is how you mine and acquire coins.

I'm not a big stakeholder, and haven't said much here, so I don't know if I qualify as a community member. But I'll post anyway and you all can do what you like.
Open Source definitely has some virtues in that it invites more developers and a wider range of voices to contribute interesting things. But historically very interesting advances have also been made by individuals or small groups of people working quietly away on their vision. The privacy afforded by the closed development process for right now allows for greater experimentation and daring. Think about how courageous you would be with your own creative projects if you knew that every few days or weeks, you had to show your work to the world. You might make more conservative decisions, knowing that the more adventurous choices would be met by resistance and doubt. You might do things that worked well now but foreclosed greater possibilities for the future, only because you have your "investors" to please. But if you toil away on your project in privacy, you won't need to anticipate the critical reception of slow thinkers, or those who lack vision.
I have no idea whether this is a visionary product. But I am excited by the possibilities and respectful of the creative process, so I am willing to let qora work away in private. Soon enough we will know whether it's really something amazing or full of fatal flaws, but for now, I am quite patient.

Aristotle said that you know who a person is by their actions. I don't think he said anything about a photo id and background check.

Is there enough good code here that other developers would pick up this project? Is there anyone out there who thinks ZC can be implemented?

Wow, terrible update.
A coin is like a business.
This is not how you might run a successful business.
I think a coin is more like a contestant on American Idol. Sometimes you see something amazing and they inspire you, and sometimes you watch them melt down and fall apart. Then we vote.

What if clone thing replaces supernet? ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) What if LTC replaces BTC? What if Burger King replaces McDonalds? What if t.v. replaces talking to real people? What if vibrator replaces boyfriend? Nevermind. It's not funny anymore. Now I'm just depressing myself.

Should go without saying, but on a sad note: You may want to specify 'open source'. There seems to be a disgraceful movement towards closed source in some communities. Regardless, you hold the strings to the purse (and the ultimate decision) but I thought it might bear mentioning.
Right now Qora is closed source. Of course it will have to be open to Ian in order for him to do the Qora AT work, but I wouldn't assume he'd be against closed source. Ian, what do you say?

Tips to Reduce Downtime & Stress Levels ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Follow these steps regardless of whether you're running the wallet for the first time or recovering from seed: <snip> Don't worry... all of the above is temporary... qora has announced that development efforts have been directed towards releasing a new wallet/UI... it's just an easy way to avoid recovering from seed and having to redownload the chain. <snip> This is very helpful. New to Qora, but like what I've read so far.
I am trying to run v18 on a Mac, and having trouble. I had to kill the JarRsLoader on the last messy shutdown, and now I can't restart Qora. I get a "STARTUP ERROR: The application was not closed correctly!" message in Console, and cannot proceed. I've deleted all of the Qora folders and started again from the zip file, but I still get that error. Any suggestions?
