41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The real threat to Bitcoin on: June 11, 2011, 08:04:04 AM
As Bitcoins become harder, mining will become more specialised, until perhaps only large Organisations can mine them, this gives them control, something which Bitcoin was designed to prevent.
Putting wealth generation into the hands of the masses should be a priority, mining pools though will again congregate into a few pools, and again as bitcoins become harder to mine, these pools will become specialised.
Why not adopt another approach.
BitcoinPlus has potential to take control away from the Big boys, I'm not arguing agains people setting up pools and rigs etc, good luck to you guys, free market, if you invest and take the risks, you deserve the rewards, but theoretically, from here on in, Bitcoin could end up being dominated by the few.
Payb people should go back to the Solo mining concept using bitcoin plus or something, very similar, people could embed the code in their websites and blogs, etc have them running in the background in a way that is unnobtrusive.
But it would be like winning the lottery, every so often, a blog or website would win the jackpot, which would of course encourage others to embed BitCoin solo miners in their website.
The Big boys would number in their hundreds, the masses in their hundreds of millions, so this would even things up, sure, bit coin mining pools would have better chance of coming accross 50 bitcoins and like I say, good luck to them, but hundreds of millions of others, searching at much slower rates admittedly would collectively have a far better chance, this approach might prevent Bitcoin generation from falling into the hands of  a few.
The masses could still join pools aswell if they wish to mine for lesser but more regulay payback, whilst still standing a chance of hitting the Jackpot on their own.

An article that appears 95% factual but contains a few doubts will cause millions to remain sitting on the fence, State disinfo agents in the media can be very subtle.

On our own, we can do very little, but by informing others about the true nature of the 'law' we cn change the 'consensus''

Technically speaking, if the Govt has surrendered Sovereignty, either to the UN, the EU, Nafta, etc, then Govts have comitted Treason, this makes them felons, Common law prohibits us from aiding and abetting lest we be guilty of Misprision of Felony / Treason.
IE we are not allowed to assist, financially or otherwise anyone engaged in Gross criminal acts, acts like causing the deaths of 1 million Iraqi's for example.
In the UK the case for Treason is pretty robust.

http://www.acasefortreason.org.uk/

If that is not enough, you need to realise that the Statutes passed by Parliament are not Laws, the are Acts, in that they act as laws but only with the Consent of the Governed.
For example it's illegal to drive without a seatbelt in the UK, but it's not unlawful, of course most of the general public do not know the difference between legal and lawfull, they are tricked into obeying statutes they would probably rather not by the legal profession changing the linguistic meaning of words.
For example, in Blacks law dictionary the word MUST means MAY.
So when you get a summons saying you MUST attend court, it means you may Attend Court.
Here's a Good introductory Video on this enormous subject.

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=meet+your+strawman&aq=o

So, technically speaking, none of us are compelled to do what our respective Govts do anyway, our only obligation is to common law which can be summed up as saying you can do anything you like ( including trade in virtual currrency, they may make it illegal but it will never be unlawful )

So long as you cause none harm, nor loss, nor commit mischief ( fraud ) in your dealings with others.
It would seem to me Common law is a vital weapon in defending our right to our own Currency to carry out free trade, especially as Fiat currency, issued by foreign offshore Private Bankers is unlawful.

Our Govts are a bunch of Crooks, under common law we are forbidden to fund nor obey them.

Bitcoiners maybe need to start thinking about protecting the Net from attack, maybe people setting up mining Rigs could factor in some spare capacity to help grow the Tor Network.

IF each transaction incurred a 0.00000001BTC charge, then when a suficient amount has acrued, enough to buy say 1 small coin, this can be held in reserve, over a number of years, Bitcoin will then start to have a solid foundation.
In fact this gold silver etc could then be 'redistibuted to anyone, use for charity, furthering the bitcoin community, lots of things you could do with it.
Of course it may not need this, and was designed not to, but as an add on it might be of use, raising funds, providing a solid backing, not that it needs it, fiat currency has nothing backing it anyway, and fiat currency sort of work, they are just be used wrongly and for evil intent.

Those people currently responding to begging letters asking for Bitcoins could put them to set up a fund, paying programmers etc to do the work for the charity so the charity has no set up fees in implementing bitcoin, it's all done for them by the Bitcoin community.
Same with online stores, pay programmers to do the work for Companies who might consider it so that they have no set up fees and minimal time, IE any store that is interested can have bitcoin implemented free, paid for by the bitcoin community which helps the bitcoin community long term.
Just uploading some experimental Bit Coin Titles, a couple are half decent but would benefit from some background music if anyone wants to use, also can add in shadows and reflections to add to the realism, if anyone wants something similar doing for Free if I can plug my website harveyalexander or for 0.1BTC with no advertising, also if someone makes youtube vids and wants their channel or website included.
Not exactly Pixar standards I know but some turn out reasonable.

Isn't the purpose of Bitcoin what it can do for society as a whole, freeing them / us from from predation, Bitcoins are not the most important issue, shops goods and services are the important points.
If people hoard bitcoin in the hope of gains, then there will be no money, so someone will just invent another currency  that allows people to do what they want, live free from being fleeced, if hoarders end up in the position of being able to do that, another currency will come along that sets people / society free.
People have a right to prosperity, to profit from investment, a little hoarding will always go on, but if every coin mined is simply hoarded then there will be no bitcoin economy, so no shops, goods and services and the masses will not join in.
What they want to know is can I buy food and water, clothes for my family in such a way that it's simple quick and easy so they can spend time with their loved ones, if you can give them that, none of them will begrudge you a little profit, you've earned it and deserve it for making their lives better, for giving them more time to spend with their friends and family.
Don't think how much are my bitcoins going to be worth tomorrow because if you just hoard them, they wont be worth anything.
Only if you put them to use, a create shops and industry, and goods and services will you draw in the masses, and they will only stay if you improve their lives.
If currencies like this are to succeeed, especially now as people are worried about hoarding for gain, then there is the very real possibility it will price the public out of the market, so destroying the market.
At least a small percentage of a hoard must go back into 'society' opening a business of some sort.
That's how you make Bitcoin sucessful, create businesses with it, not by hoarding it.
55  Economy / Economics / Re: WTH? why a sudden drop by 10 cents? on: June 07, 2011, 07:22:10 PM
To help offset the desire to hoarde, why not set up very inexpensive speculator projects, as has been suggested, to create new businesses and or support existing ones, for example a local farmers market, a local garage.
The Bitcoin Community could draw up a list of worthy causes or projects and people could pledge 1BTC per month to a project.
Maybe even set those businesses up with Bitcoin useability.
So by Pledging 12BTCs, per year, you could help fund 12different projects of your choosing.
Draw up a list of 100 or even 1000 worthy causes.

How about Bitcoiners pledging 1BTC per month or even per year for advertising Bitcoin or even setting up suitable small businesses to accept Bitcoin  payments.
For example a local shop, or small business, maybe even a network of garages could be funded to accept Bitcoin and then offer discounts to people who pay using Bitcoin.

58  Economy / Economics / Re: The current Bitcoin economic model doesn't work on: June 07, 2011, 06:25:05 PM
If the system is shown to be unfair on society in general, a newer currency will develop, and maybe laws to go with it that will compete with Bitcoin, presumaby this will lessen the value of Bitcoin.
So there might be an incentive to 'cheat' a little in some way, but once it starts hurting a lo of people, they wil come up with an alternative.

59  Economy / Economics / Re: The AMERICAN DREAM film, animated, on youtube on: June 07, 2011, 06:05:03 PM
I got that linked on my webpage on the money scam, plus a few others.
You could find em on youtube but I pulled em together.
There is a good documentary called The Money Masters' that's well worth a watch.
Both  Lincoln and Kennedy were assasinated and at least one other Pre because they dared to
print Debt free money.
Kennedt issued executive order 11110 ordering the US Treasury to begin issuing Silver Backed US Treasury Bills as opposed to Federal Reserve Notes issued by the PRIVATE Federal reserve AT INTEREST to the US Govt.
Five months later, kennedy was assasinated, coincidence ?

60  Economy / Economics / Re: Many Bitcoin Clones on: June 07, 2011, 05:49:48 PM
We have to accept that free market principles allow for competing currencies, possibly one that might displace bitcoin, so it's up to all to try to ensure Bitcoin helps humanity as a priority rather than individuals.
Tht's not to say, people who profit from Bitcoin or become super rich are not deserving of that, after all it benefits humanity to reward success.
Current monetary systems reward crookedness, I don't see why there can't be several, perhaps up to 100 competing currencies.
If bitcoin, or any other, allows unfair practices, monopolies to become the norm, competing currencies will spring up to replace them, so it's in the interests of all who've invested in Bitcoin to try to ensure we don't end up with the Digital equivalent of the Corrupt Fiat Ponzi scheme we have now with fiat currencies and Private Central Banks and Puppet politicians.
