Can anyone help me figure this out.

I have been trying to use this sgminer 5.5.5 and other versions to mine this altcoin here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3150167.msg32560127#msg32560127
  -o stratum+tcp://pool.luckyaltcoin.com:3633 -u <WALLET_ADDRESS> -p c=MOTA

But I can't seem to figure out how to set it up to mine at that pool above, can anyone help me set this up, i'm new to this whole mining thing.

It appears you have the parameters correct. So execute:

Code:
sgminer.exe  -o stratum+tcp://pool.luckyaltcoin.com:3633 -u <WALLET_ADDRESS> -p c=MOTA

From a command prompt (aka DOS window, CMD.exe) within the directory that contains your sgminer executable that you downloaded.

Of course, substitute "<WALLET_ADDRESS>" with your MOTA address.

Can you please detail what your issue is?

EDIT: A bat file will help in the future, but let's cross one bridge at a time. Wink

when putting in the <WALLET_ADDRESS> section do i need to keep the brackets there on the left and right of the address i add ?

46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / CPU miner for Dagger algorithm altcoins ? on: March 22, 2018, 02:40:54 PM
Is there a CPU miner out there that can mine Dagger-Hashimoto ETH algorithm type altcoins ? I noticed that Claymore had one for cryptonote but I didn't see a miner available for other crypto types.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SLD] Soldo - easy CPU mining / modified Cryptonote PoW / BlockChain Lottery on: March 21, 2018, 11:48:18 AM
I cant figure out how to get the miner up and running. I followed the win-start-readme.txt file but when I try to run the miner.bat it says "Windows cannot find 'sldm.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again"

What am I doing wrong ?

I want to start mining this coin, what all do I need to do to start mining it ? Any help? Thanks

You can use a mining pool such as luckyaltcoin

what I meant to say was what miners software do we/can we use exactly for this ?
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote AMD GPU Miner v11.2 on: March 21, 2018, 06:42:34 AM
Can anyone help me. I'm using claymore 11.2 on my RX 570  and only getting 420 h/s for Monero. My card is bios flashed overclocked and with blockchain drivers. I'm getting on the high ends for claymore ETH 29mhs and zcash 312 sols  so I'm confused why it's so insanely low in cryptonote. Also I have tried mining Monero in Minergate software for comparison and im getting 700 h/s  so I feel something is definitely wrong.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What am I doing wrong ? Claymore Cryptonote miner on: March 21, 2018, 06:29:59 AM
Change clocks and find more optimal one for monero. Also 'bios flashed' says nothing about how was your timings adjusted (i.e. you used some known good one or just copy yours from 1500 and up). Also you may need to tweak some settings in miner or use another miner altogether. Tweak all the things.

I created custom timings bios with polaris I followed other peoples directions and I'm happy with results. Like I said for a RX 570 the speeds im getting in ETH and ZCASh are on the high end of results. There is no reason for Cryptonote to be so low with them so high. Like I said I'm getting 700+ h/s for Monero in MINERGATE software that i all you need to know.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What am I doing wrong ? Claymore Cryptonote miner on: March 21, 2018, 06:11:26 AM
Ok I got it working but I have a new problem now im only getting 415 h/s with my RX 570 ? It's my understanding even a "slow" stock RX 570 with bad memory should be getting higher than that. Mine is bios flashed and overclocked with elpida memory. It gets 29 mh/s in ETH and 310 sols for zcash so i think i should be getting double this hashrate or more in monero right ?

For example I get 700 h/s mining Monero in Minergate software so yeah...

Also before those messages in the image it says "uknown option 1pUPLD2KgFGqZfcw"
That is because you have space between 1p and UP in your address, just like fapar said.

Also if you are using config (and not batch file) you don't need setx there.

I don't know why that address had a space in it when I post it here but that's not the case in my config or bat file.

This is what I'm trying right now in my bat file, when I run it it says no pool specified. But when I do it in my config file it works but then the setx options don't work. What am I doing wrong ?

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

NsGpuCNMiner.exe

Tried that doesn't seem to work still here is the messages I'm getting now. And yeah I'm using 11.2

Also before those messages in the image it says "uknown option 1pUPLD2KgFGqZfcw"

I was trying to setup and test mine some Monero but when I run the Claymore miner I get the red "Unknown option" errors for everything in my config file.

Here is what my config file looks like below, what exactly do I have setup wrong ? Thanks

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

If you are Using V11.2 try this in your .bat file

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MSI Afterburner not applying memory clock changes ? on: March 18, 2018, 08:12:03 AM
I think I'm all good now, been tweaking the settings testing it on Claymore Zcash. I'm getting about 317 h/s and I'm pretty sure I can take it further easily.

Not sure why GPU z is showing that but don't matter I guess.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MSI Afterburner not applying memory clock changes ? on: March 18, 2018, 07:31:35 AM
Ok I installed the older 17.7 drivers and was able to get afterburner to apply my memory clock but now I have a new problem maybe. After I apply the memory clock and check inside GPUz it shows my changes core clock but just displays a 0 mhz as my current memory clock why is that ?

Also when exactly do you need to turn up the power limit %  in afterburner and how much ?
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MSI Afterburner not applying memory clock changes ? on: March 18, 2018, 06:16:49 AM
Driver Version  Crimson ReLive 17.10.2  Driver date 10/20/2017

No I have not tried messing with the bios at all, also I'm using Windows 10.

Just tried the MSI Beta version still resetting memory clock back to 1750 when clicking apply
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / MSI Afterburner not applying memory clock changes ? on: March 18, 2018, 05:08:33 AM
I'm kind of new to using MSI Afterburner, today I wanted to change the clock speeds for my Asus RX 570 strix oc 4GB. I could change the core clock and apply the speeds and it would save and be fine. But when I would move the slider of the memory clock to my desired speeds (tried lots) and clicked apply it would just reset my memory speed back to the default 1750 speed. Why might it be doing this any help guys ?

BTW this card has Elpida memory. And I have the AMD blockchain drivers from October installed.
