I always joined airdrop and many of them are called shitcoins which is good for selling that can be used as a starting capital for trading cryptocurrencies. Somewhat, they can be useful too but it takes a lot of your time and luck to receive just 1 kind of ERC 20 tokens out of 5 or 10 airdrop forms you filled, this is also a kind of race "first come, first serve".
From your subject there are many telegram groups which broadcasts a lot of legit aidrops and worth filling for. 1. Airdrop free 2. Airdrop G. 3. AirDropAlert_com 4. Free Airdrop 5. Airdrop seeker 6. Bitcointalk Airdrops
These channels are worth joining for as they can give you updated list of trusted airdrops.
Thanks man, will take a look

Is this bounty still active, given the date the presale ended (early)?

Any plans for GROWL (etc) integration so I can setup 3rd party alerts for my rigs?

Signed up a few days ago for this site and already had my first rig rental yesterday, worked out to about 5x it's normal income.
Strangely the person that rented it didn't actually use a pool address and effectively paid me for doing nothing; this happen often?

Windows scheduled task, + .bat file with the commands needed to launch the miner (and stop it) at certain times of day (or idle).
or
purchase "awesome miner" and install the clients on to each machine you want to (remotely) manage.
I'm guessing the office GPU's will be crap for mining as they generally aren't meant to play games, office CPU's will probably yield more altcoins (i.e. VRM).

|
|
If it's CPU you have access too, you're better off mining VeriumReserve (VRM: a cpu only coin) @ around $10 and low difficulty it's a no-brainer for those spare cycles.

Between 2014 and 2016 I was never been able to login to Cryptsy, I'm pretty sure I have about .25BTC there (and wasn't worth anything then) but was never able to login to retrieve it.
My account would always be locked, and I had to go through support verification to get it unlocked; the new password given never worked and automatically locked me out again. I just gave up...
Without knowing the actual balance and (thus) if I qualified for claim, I missed the window.

Don't expect a real airdrop anytime soon those are once in a year opportunities it seems. Ripple, Decred, and DeepOnion have all had great airdrops but the opportunities are limited given the influx of new airdrop coins and tokens every year.
Any idea how to spot them?

Did XBC start as a fork, can people claim coins with btc priv keys?
Old project was abandoned back in 2015 so there was a 1:1 swap for anyone with coins on the old chain. I'm gutted I missed this, have 923 coins still in the old fork ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) I'm very sorry for you, but on which planet have you been? I mined a lot of shit coins in 2014 when Asic's made it impossible for Bitcoin mining, this was one of them ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) as you can from my profile, I've been here a while; just not a very active member. I was due to scrub an old laptop I (re)found in the cupboard before I trashed it and found my old (non BTC) wallets. There was a couple of hundred quid worth of (still) valid coins (guncoin, asiacoin, vericoin) and what looked like a fortune in XBC when I checked the price on polonex. The chain wouldn't sync when I left on the client overnight, so I downloaded the latest build the next day and when that finally synced but showed a lesser balance of 9.23 (but conflicted). At that point I knew something was up and started catching up on the BCT forums. I made significant gains on my BTC since 2013-14 so I guess if anything that overshadowed the other coins I had stored away. If anything this has got me back into crypto-mining and a these forums, so not a total loss I guess.

Seems to be a million new airdrops every day, is this getting out of hand now; I for one don't want to have to join a telegram spam channel and spam the crap out of my friends on twitter/facebook for referrals.
Is there a filtered list anywhere?
Unfortunately many airdrops are pretty cancer nowadays. Just like how many ICOs are scammy, people try to abuse aidrops as well and most of them aren't even worth doing as a result. Perhaps creating fake ICO's is the new mining? Wonder if anyone's created a blockchain based on fake ICO's yet?

Dude, if you dont want to spam your friend with refferal or something dont join airdrop that need you to invite other people. There still another airdrop who only need you to follow their twitter and joining their telegram group, also you can mute the channel if you feel like to noisy or spammy. And even if they have refferal program its not mandatory to share it, you still get what you deserve but smaller amount.
I appreciate that I don't have to join or participate but there's so many new ones each day, surely the whole airdrop thing is getting out of hand? The whole airdrop community is like "quick another one, spam away" rather than anyone looking into that the ICO's are about, was just wondering if there was a thread around on BCT that was sanity checking what they posted rather than try to get another referral.

Could you please tell how can claim it? block fork and date.. Thanks.
Don't think I can claim it now as I missed the window. Funnily the balance shows as 9.23 in the new chain (and 923 in old) coins but conflicted... ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FxrpZfPX.png&t=663&c=s9tCoazyAtl5FQ)

Ok so, I'm late to this party.
I've got a load of my old swept bitcoin/litecoin and dogecoin wallets (with lots of addresses) and have loaded them into the Windows clam client. I've got about a year left to sync; should I see a balance now (assuming they had claims) or do I have to wait for the whole chain to sync for them to show?
Thanks
You need to wait for the whole wallet to eventually sync. Thanks for the confirm, hopefully it comes up good in the morning; finally a use for all those old dogecoin wallets
