Wait, I'll delete the post. That's not the site I was thinking of... And yes, I should know what insane is.

You would have to be insane to send any bitcoin to MPEx.

43  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: January 17, 2014, 03:24:44 PM
So this is the speculation thread.

Here's some speculation: This is the calm before the storm. That container with the liquid cooling is real. Gen3 is real. Heads are down, working hard, at AsicMiner. Share prices have reached the inflection point, though it isn't immediately obvious because of the low trading volume. Dividends have reached their low. The time is nearing when AsicMiner will be back on the map. March is not that far.

I bought a few more shares at 0.5X. No other investment except Neo & Bee is worth the risk. Face it, nearly everything has been a loss (even AM for me, I got in on the downswing and never got big dividends) except these two.

44  Economy / Securities / Re: [Weexchange issue] The fall of Ukyo III - Updates and references on: January 17, 2014, 01:16:46 PM
I'ma let you finish, but look, "glendall", Danny Brewster of Neo...

Lol, how is it that all but 2 of your posts are white knighting Jon?

One shyster propping another is a form of pack hunting, time you learned of how this shit works.

Instead of attacking the poster, why not just think for a half second and respond to the actual post, that Danny is involved. A far better response would be pointing out some reason you think it doesn't matter if Danny is involved, or anything intelligent really, other than trying to attack the poster.

Take care.

I'ma let you finish, but look, "glendall", Danny Brewster of Neo & Bee is involved and he doesn't say it is a scam.
46  Economy / Securities / Re: [ANN] myHavelock - Monitor your Havelock Investments portfolio on Android! on: January 15, 2014, 05:06:45 PM
FYI, iOS version coming soon!

Great news. Just please don't make it free. Make it good, and price it at $5 at least.
47  Economy / Securities / Re: VTX on Havelock rallying! on: January 14, 2014, 02:25:53 PM
I don't get it. You bought shares in a company. They went UP or they went DOWN. Every day you held onto them was a choice you made. If they went down, tough luck. If they went up, great. The company didn't fold while you had your shares? Great. The company folded? Tough luck. Doesn't matter if your share value went down and you hoped it would go back up.

Then they announce they are delisting. They can do that, it's perfectly legal to want to delist and convert virtual shares to real ones. In fact, it looks and sounds like that's exactly the reason they are doing that. But it doesn't matter. After that news came in, you had to decide what to do. Do you sell (at WHATEVER price they are currently at, it's not Virtex's fault if they are down, it's speculation). You decide to sell, bravo. At a loss? Tough luck. At a gain? Congratulations. You decide to keep them after the cutoff date, then you have to live with the fact that your shares are being converted to real ones.

Grow up FFS and learn what it means to be an investor and take risks.

To the guy who posted the image "You came to the wrong universe" -- LOL, that's pretty good!

hehehe

To the two posts above, perhaps you didn't see this, right before you posted. Read it again.

Thanks for the concern, however as we enter this stage in the "getting to market" cycle, we are extremely busy. I myself have spent the last 4 days in Zurich on business matters and the next 2 days are to be spent in Munich on business. The Big merchant will cause a shock wave of attention. So we are purposefully delaying that following how much attention the University Story brought to us. Easycoin is in a closed Beta stage, it was ready on the deadline. I never gave a timeline for an update because I know exactly how busy this period was going to be. I am certain, 99.99% people agree that getting everything delivered on time is absolutely of a higher priority than posting on a forum.

I have been preparing the updated prospectus during the time spent travelling. However adding multiple businesses into the new prospectus is no small task in itself.

TL/DR; --> Talk is cheap, actions speak louder than words.

Amazing that people aren't doing anything, even though he likely stole millions of dollars.

How dare you count MY bitcoins as stolen? They aren't stolen until *I* say they are stolen. Count your own damn bitcoins.

Again, you and some others have made YOUR OWN decision that Ukyo stole the coins. I am more patient, I have the luxury of time BECAUSE I followed the public (and obvious to anyone that thinks for a few minutes about what and where they are investing) advice not to risk more than I can afford to lose. Time will tell ME if my bitcoins were stolen, but some people here will present "facts" their way, by including everyone's coins in their determination.

In my god-damned AWESOME universe, it's possible for someone to make a mistake, someone else to give him the benefit of the doubt, and for him to redeem himself. If he did something illegal or stupid, in my universe he'd go to jail or get the chance to fix things.

In your awful SHITTY universe, you'll threaten and retaliate and ruin any chances you have of getting your money back. Some fart-for-brains is going to go too far. If Ukyo did something stupid like gamble people's money, he won't go to jail, he'll be threatened with baseball bats and probably never recover and pay anyone anything else back.

Also, karma is an unstoppable bitch, be warned (if that's all you understand).

Just put an X on the one with the $1,000,000 requirement, scan the documents, send them, and don't worry about it. By "accredited" they really mean "responsible and informed about risks of investments". This is to cover Virtex' ass and can/will never be verified. It's the same thing with banks and investment accounts. You sign a the dotted line that you understand the risks and they can rest easy afterwards knowing the regulators won't tell them they didn't do due dilligence to check if the investor was ready for such an investment. Just think, you are a bitcoin investor, your (possibly few) bitcoins alone are proof enough (and hell, someday going to be worth millions) that you understand the risks.

The short of it is most likely that you just sign your initials on the $1M line, don't talk to Virtex about it (because they can't say "just do it" it would be counter productive), and enjoy your BTC dividends, or payout if Virtex gets bought out, or they wish to buy back your shares.

Live long, and prosper.

It's bad enough that immature kids plague online games calling people noobs, now one reveals herself here. Easiest "ignore" ever.

"which leaves illegal action as the only recourse for those who don't enjoy being punked as much as you do."

Utter, utter garbage. There is no justification for taking illegal action. You sound like the thieves that say "Well, music is too expensive, or I can't afford it, or the RIAA are thieves themselves, so I have no recourse but to steal the music.". You can simply not steal it and move on. Especially in this situation.

The people here advocating illegal action have absolutely no clue about the golden rule. None at all. Go ahead, ruin everything even more. Congratu-****ing-lations.

It could have been up to 6% worse.

Nice try. Completely ignore the work put into making a claims portal, the trip to Cyprus, the chats, the posts here.

Oh, ignore, what a great feature actually.

lophie

Have you ever watched Star Wars? You're behaving and thinking like someone consumed. Don't make me say who. Let go of your hate. Ukyo is still here, working on it, and has returned 1/15th of the funds. It could have been worse: he's nowhere to be found, had not returned anything, had not went to Cyprus to seek help from Cryptocyprus, had not been on dev chats to ask questions and seek more help, and not posting here anymore. Buying time in this way doesn't make any sense.

Of course something is wrong. Of course it looks shady. Perhaps he is between a rock and a hard place.

But to threaten another person with a death threat, plus others related to him, that's screwing up big time. I know you believe Ukyo is evil. Even if true, to allow yourself to do the same is... well, you'd be no better. Either you are pretending, or you are seriously letting yourself go overboard. What good will it do to hurt others, their family, yourself... no good at all.

Why can't you open yourself to the possibility that Ukyo will actually try (depending on how you see it): A) Fix his mistake B) Fix the problems and return the money C) Work out a solution D) Redeem himself or some other positive outcome. A threat like you made is just not going to help.

Plus, you really aren't thinking clearly, because on top of hurting yourself and others, you'll totally screw everyone else here by removing any last chance we have for Ukyo to fix this. Someone else in these forums might just decide to do the same thing to your friends/family or even kill themselves because of your drastic actions. What a great cycle you'll start.

Could you change your tune? How depressing.

Instead of coins with the private key hidden under a sticker, which is kind of on the easy side of being able to be hacked, how about this?

Before rough polishing, laser-drill holes through the diameter of the coin so that it can be snapped in half with force from an average human. Still before rough polishing, a slot is laser-drilled into the side of the coin, where a strip of metal that contains the private key is inserted. Strip of metal is inserted, the end of it capped with wax. Then the slot is welded closed, rough and final polishing done.

To get the private key, you snap the coin in half. Strip of metal falls out with private key in mini key format. The coin's public address can be counterfeited, but the counterfeit will be worthless if the original is spent.

Too much effort for a coin.
