41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.4.0 on: April 13, 2018, 09:42:56 AM
Dok and guys, I have a question to which I cannot find an answer. Did a lot of tweaking, testing and so on, but it really bothers me and I hope you might help me out here.
https://imgur.com/a/3LePw - Here you can see what happens to my rig, when I set a higher intensity.
At the moment I am running at 40 intensity, each card is hashing 900h/s stable and the power draw is 600W from the wall with the settings - 1200/2200 @ 950mvddc/cvddc settings.
When I set a higher intensity, 40 at the moment seems to be the most stable, the cards go to a higher hashrate, as you can see in the screenshot, but after 2-3 minutes one or two cards start hashing a lot less than they should be hashing and all of the cards follow the trend in 10 minutes.
How can I make all of the cards to hash at the best rate they may? If I set the intesity at 0, the miner picks 51 and two of the weaker cards fail Cheesy
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.3.2 on: April 12, 2018, 01:14:43 PM
Dok, is there a way to set a constant difficulty? I think I am getting better hashrate when I am mining on lower difficulty tho, that's why I am asking Cheesy
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.3.1 on: April 11, 2018, 04:22:32 PM
Okay, so in comparison with xmrig's speed 3,5kh, with this SBRMiner my RX580s are hashing 820h/s on cryptonight heavy!!! Incredible performance! I am currently with intensity 32, because if I get the intensity higher, I have noticed that after some time some cards start hashing around 550h/s(dropping by 300h) .
Running stable with 4150h/s on my 5 cards @ 550W from the wall. Great work man, hands down!

4gb or 8gb?  I read 8gb go over 1k on CN-Heavy.

It may give such hash, but my cards are modded for the ethash algo and as far as I read, the timings for cryptonight should be a bit different. I am now looking for a guide or a site from which I will be able to get my hands on such a BIOS mod and I will try then Cheesy
Otherwise still pretty amazing performance, cannot deny that!

P.S - Cards are 8GB Sapphire Nitro+ Special Editions.

I have been mining on RX580s with your 2.8c version with 1240/2200 cvddc 950 and mvddc 900 with around 31.8mh/s! Currently downloading and will post results tomorrow about how stable it is ! Great work!
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.3.1 on: April 11, 2018, 10:52:32 AM
Tried mining Sumocoin, but I receive the following error :
Error CL_MEM_OBJECT_ALLOCATION_FAILURE when calling clEnqueueNDRangeKernel for kernel 0 for DeviceID 4 (Thread Cool
a LOT!
I first started the miner with intensity 0 and saw at the beginning that it was automatically set @ 51, so I lowered it to 40, but I still receive a lot of those errors. Now I am currently trying it out with i30 and the miners seems to be kinda stable, will report after a couple of hours.

Does anyone know a guide how to modify the straps on RX580's for better cryptonight/cryptonight-heavy performances? I am currently with a BIOS mod for ETH and it seems that weaker cards are having far better results in terms of hashrate in comparison to my card! I would really love to use the max potential of it!
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain E3 Ethash Miner ASIC (Shipping:16-31 July. $800 USD) on: April 10, 2018, 08:43:27 AM
Rofl, better buy yourself two ethereums now and cut the drama with mining and making BITMAIN money. This company is dragging all of us down and you are still up for buying their shitty products? When this shit aSIC hits the markets, the difficulty would be so high, so making 800$ profit would take you around 1 year or so? Better get your ETH straight out of the exchange and save yourself the hassle.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.3.1 on: April 10, 2018, 08:10:47 AM

Actually, RX 570 gives 1k+ with the right straps Cheesy
Its not that hard to write your own straps these days.
There are lots of different memory types from all memory vendors, learning to write custom straps tailored to your own cards really does wonders to your profit.

Penny, could then please share a guide with me on how exactly to make my straps for Cryptonight/ Heavy algo? I would really like to drop out of the ETH mining, because I do not find it as profitable as the cryptonight coins, plus not to mention that my cards are quite cooler and working quite easier on the cryptnight algo

Is anyone mining SUMOKOIN with this miner? I cannot setup this miner for this algo and I am sure I read it support also cryptonight heavy? When I start the miner, after the authentication, I start receiving red messages - cannot allocate or something like that, can't remember now correctly.

Did you change cryptonight type to HEAVY in config file? It can not auto-detect the version.

Well I just wrote HEAVY into the config file and changed ofc the pool address and wallet address, but still nada. Should I type in cryptonight-heavy or something similar to it? What are your settings if you are mining it ? Did you leave intensity to 0 or you have set a specific number? I am running 5xrx580 Nitro+ SE.

Zawawa, could you please advise what kind of intensity should I be using for Cryptonight-heavy algo? I have tried to mine it with the same settings, that I use for the normal cryptonight algorithm, but it seems they are too high for the heavy algo. I am not really experienced into these algorithms, since I am mainly mining ETH, but I would really like to try and see what my profits would be on the heavy one?

Mining ETN at nanopool with RX580 8GB , intensity 60 on each card 890h/s! Is there anyway I can further tweak it or that's the maximum? Do you guys have some BIOS mods for RX580 Sapphire Nitro+ Special Edition's with Micron memory for cryptonight algorithm? I am currently mining it with my ETH, which may be causing this not optimal speed.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Cannot install the latest drivers, please help on: April 09, 2018, 09:28:39 AM
Well, I tried to, but I was having some problems with the uninstallation of the drivers and after that with the installation itself, so I just performed a clean OS install. Since then I am not having any problems with it ! Cheesy
Thank you for your reply!

Really impressed by this miner! At 1240/2200 with cv/mvddc at 900 I am hashing with my RX580 SE Nitro+ above 31.5mh/s really stable! Incredible, just flawless performance! Best ETH miner out there!

P.S - I am mining on a completely reinstalled rig with the latest AMD drivers, just fyi, do not know if that's helped for the hash increase.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.3.0 on: April 09, 2018, 09:00:59 AM
Btw, can anyone recommend any settings, I mean config.txt and .bat file for RX580 Nitro+ Special Editions?
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.3.0 on: April 09, 2018, 07:48:27 AM

Just add comma
Quote
,
after "cryptonight_type" : NORMAL

and quotes too, like "normal"

Still receiving the same error  Huh
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.3.0 on: April 09, 2018, 07:36:15 AM
Okay, there's one thing I cannot understand and that is how to setup the .bat file Cheesy I copied the following thing to the config.txt file:

Code:
{
"cryptonight_type" : NORMAL
"intensity" : 0,
"double_threads" : TRUE,
"target_temperature" : 45,
"pool_use_tls" : FALSE,
"pool" : "etn-eu1.nanopool.org:13333",
"wallet" : "xxx",
"password" : "x",
"location" : "EUROPE",
"log_file" : "IF YOU WANT TO LOG MINER OUTPUT PUT A FILENAME HERE"
}

I did not make any changes in the .bat file, because I wasn't too sure if I should be doing it. When I start the bat file, it loads something and afterwards I receive an error in the config.txt file (ParseError). Can anyone explain what do I exactly need to do to fix this issue?

EDIT: adding what's in the .bat file:
Code:
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_MAX_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_MAX_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
@echo off

cls
SETLOCAL EnableExtensions
set EXE=SRBMiner-CN.exe

:START
FOR /F %%x IN ('tasklist /NH /FI "IMAGENAME eq %EXE%"') DO IF %%x == %EXE% goto RUNNING
%EXE% -c config.txt
TIMEOUT /T 15 /NOBREAK
goto START
:RUNNING
echo "%EXE% is already running"
pause
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Cannot install the latest drivers, please help on: April 07, 2018, 12:25:21 PM
Hello guys!
I was until today with the 18.2.1 AMD drivers and I saw today that there is an update, so I've decided to make the update and try the rig with the newest ones.
So, as usual, I ran the DDU to uninstall the drivers, before that I've downloaded the new ones, had prepared myself as always and I even downloaded the latest version of the DDU, just to be really up-to-date with everything and I ran it, thus my reason now to write here:

    1. The first funny thing I noticed is that when I tried to uninstall the drivers, it did not boot into safe mode to do it, just uninstalled the drivers straight away and after that it just rebooted the computer. I never got into Safe Mode, but I thought that's just the new version and it rolls like that.
    2. After the reboot, I tried to install the drivers. As I ran through almost the whole process and the drivers started installing, in the middle of the loading bar the screen became black and it stood like that for a couple of minutes. I had to make a hard-reset so that my rig would be operational again and tried to run the miner to see if everything was okay, but it crashed right after the cmd windows came up and I read in the log files, that it crashed because there's not operatable GPU.

As I right-clicked on the desktop I was also not seeing RADEON settings to switch the modes - computing/gaming etc.

Currently, I am reinstalling the drivers for the 4-5th time and I cannot seem to find any solution to this problem!
Can anyone of you help out somehow?
