1007h/s Sapp 580 8GB Hynix
Are your hynix is H5GQ8H24MJ ? If yes, what timings are you using for it (and intensity settings for that matter)? I've only managed to push ~840 h/s at 1250 core 2250 mem clocks.

Yopp ... MJs. Strap is the normal stuff from PBE 1.6.7. Intensity .. hmmm well depends a lot on the card. Best is between 114 and 125, with Spikes and what not. Best way to find a sweetspot is to see if the hashrate is a flat line or if it goes up n down. Flatline is optimal, Up n Down is close to good Intensity, but not on spot. My card has sweetspots at 114, 117 and 123.

Keep in mind, sometimes a reboot is needed to get the real results - specially after some intensive tests  Wink

tried to see if the cryptonight-heavy would work for me. it doesn't. i can't adjust the settings because it just stupidly tries to run the previous settings that crashed every time i open it now.

That is by design, too. GGS was trying to measure the success rate by repeating trials with the same settings.
If you don't want this particular behavior, you can just check "Do not repeat after failure."

So I just need to port this as a starter, then:

https://github.com/aceneun/sgminer-gm-x16r/blob/x16r/kernel/x16r.cl

I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do with this. Smiley Let us know if you need any guinea pigs for stability testing. I can have either R9 Fury series, Rx 400 series, or Rx 500 series do a little testing if that's of any help to you.

The miner has been running really, really stable for the past 3-4 hours, I even worked a bit on the rig, so there were other processes as well, but will see until the first 24 hours. Incredible performance until now, gg

X16R sound like a good idea. RX 580 should outperform GTX 1060 by a large margin, at least. Let me see...
Unfortunately, the RX 580 @ 1250 core and 1000mV voltage does about 4.5MH/s, which is around 1050Ti levels but on ~120W power draw. If you can somehow manage to match or even pass 1060's levels, you will attract a huge mount of users.

What about a standalone X17 kernel? The only difference between the algos in X16r and X17 is djb2. The only available kernel is unfortunately very old and barely working. Sad

@Nitrobg.
Go stock, acefawn sg-miner and then tweak sg parameter. I got 7.x . Average, I mean

My observations:
1. Pitcairn cryptonight kernel issue is still there - with it GGS make only 515-520 h/s. Without kernel GGS gives 525-535 h/s. Claymore's 11.3 (without fee!) gives 550 h/s.
2. After enabling overclock settings on Pitcairn GPU and starting GGS it just give BSOD THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER. Like it was in previous versions of GGS.
3. GGS starting take more time than <1.3 versions.
4. Can't put all timings from strap into they fields on GGS. You must make possibility to parsing straps from entire string.
5. In 1.2.x versions with my GPU OC settings GGS works stable. With the same settings but cryptonight V7 GGS sometimes (hour or two) drops to BSOD THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER.
6. For apllaying timings it's need to enable phymem?
7. If not for what phymem is needed?
8. Minimal fan speed is 20%. Why? Miminal speed must be 0%.

Cryptonight V7 needs other overclock settings? Especcially voltages? Does it need more GPU power? Or something else? Intensity for V7 differes from CN or it the same?

Thanks for your work! Hope you continue your hard work. We all are very GREATFULL to You!

Ohhh. Only now noticed:

GGS use 10-15% of CPU power during nicehash cryptonight v7 mining if enabled overclock for RX 580 cards in GGS! It's too high!

How does one specify Cryptonight v7?  I keep getting rejected shares as seems to be switching/selecting v3 and can't find documentation around designating version to use for a given pool:

I will add an option to force CryptoNightV7.

So I spent the whole Sunday on X16R, and it's finally working.
Not bad as a first attempt, but there seems to be a HUGE room for optimizations.
My wife is really pissed off, but that's OK...

Nice work Zawawa! With which version will we be able to try it out, or you want to optimize it first and you will release it afterwards.
X16r is really booming atm, keeping up to date with the trends is what will make your miner one of the most used! Congratz for the great and constant work!

EDIT: mining @ 1240/2200 with cvddc and mvddc@900 with 550W, 42celsius for 2 days straight, each card hashing 900! Superb results!

late to the party...

please point to the download link of the Cryptonight heavy version, is it on pg1 first post?

what do I have to do, to get the 6 Vega 64 running close to 2KH/s as with other miners?

Thank you for the effort!!

to mine or not to mine,
is not a question...

@Branko, actually I am using your bios mod for RX 550 4g ...and its giving 535 h/s on cryptonight. Thanks, btw. I changed timing on the fly with GGS.Smiley

Zawawa, stop playing with the new toy! Smiley and finish with the old one in order that WE can play with it.
Cryptonightv7 isn't exactly stable,in fact GGS restart on its own each  3 hour, ( and btw, keep working so mining is ok).

Cryptonight v7 Monero Graft, Stellite ...  Cryptonight Heavy but what about
Cryptonight Litev7  Cryptonight UltraHeavy  ?

And it take too much memory...

Last, very good job on the x16r Smiley. Still to beat my 7.4 Mhs for an rx 580... it will take a couple of days for you

So GGS is not autotuning, but let you choose strap manually? That would make it great tool for testing straps, I guess

I'll have to try it out
