41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you selling your altcoins so soon? on: August 07, 2018, 03:31:38 PM
Some people are turning some profits even in this bear market and they're selling to take profits some are just happy to break even and some are just plain stupid selling coins with a 70%+ loss  Grin but yeah i get it, it really doesn't make much sense if you hodled all the way down and choose to sell on a huge loss, the moment you dump those "losers" is the moment they will pump  Wink
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I continue to invest? on: August 07, 2018, 02:31:29 PM
it is actually a pretty good time to invest the R/R ratio is pretty good for most solid projects out there most of them retraced by at least a 70% some over 90% so you would be making a real bargain in this bear market and entering now means that there won't be much drawback on the coins you'll buy so yeah it doesn't get any better although be wary you can lose you money just buying the fing Dip. Wink

P.S i would stay away from public sales of any ICO as you can bet that it will be trading way below that price in a matter of weeks if not days from hitting exchanges.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Just RELAX, it will be OK! on: August 02, 2018, 09:18:15 AM
yes that's exactly what you should be doing studying and improving your skills stop worrying about prices if you believe blockchain and cryptocurrencies are here to stay and even thrive as i do. anyway patience is the name of the game and it woudn't be wise to sell your coins even the ones that are under water cause you will probably live to regret that.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: encourage others to crypto on: August 02, 2018, 08:55:08 AM
yes but i just used to suggest it for people i know as a way to invest their money but i just stopped doing it since i figured that most people are just too risk averse to get into it now or don't want to do their research and just want to be spoon fed things to buy and then blame you for losing their money so now unless you're family i won't encourage you to do anything  Grin
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Predicting a real rise in 2nd half of 2018 on: August 01, 2018, 01:02:51 PM
I've seen many threads asking whether there won't be any bull run in 2018, when the right time to buy, predictions for two years...

I really think that we're heading to a trend reversal in the next weeks and months. I agree that the market was totally overbought on January, but I think too that it's oversold right now. So many dumpers have been selling low their coins to whales and they're so concentrated right now, that in any moment they will trigger the market with a big green dildo or some really bullish news and everyone will go on a frenzy like last year's FOMO.

Just take a look at the distribution of the coins: https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.html

For example, for Bitcoin, the 90% of all the addresses hold nowadays just the 3% of all the coins. Another fact is that almost 90% of the Bitcoins are in addresses of 10 or more BTCs, and these real sharks/whales with 100+ BTCs are accumulating more and more.

Is everybody selling out on fear of cryptos going to zero and not realising that now is the moment to buy and not to sell?

What do you think? Do you agree with the predictions?

Yes i think prices will be on the up come Q4 2018 but i don't think it will be as crazy as the 2017 bull market it will basically take longer to get there .
this is a great article that explains why the start of Bitcoin’s next bull market will be more subdued than the bull market of 2017.

46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Token price fall after ICO on: July 31, 2018, 02:00:56 PM
i think that's true especially in the kind of market we're in at the time almost all 2018 icos are trading below ico price the public sale price that is. and it's true that prices fall after but not because of bounty or airdrop usually it's a small percentage but i think what hurts the price so much is the presales and people who get from 35% to 100% discounts on their assets so even if you see the coin trading below ico price the private presale people are making some decent profits so for me it's a no for a public sale however good the project but i do keep an eye out on good icos so i can catch them at a good more discounted price
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1 ETH - should buy alt or hold on to it on: July 26, 2018, 02:52:49 PM
well now is that time again my friend you could go on a shopping spree with these cheap alts on the floor whatever your favourite altcoin maybe it's probably at a pretty good discount so yeah i was in the same position as you that's why i am making sure this time i pick the cheapest ones with the best upside
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Your Money Safer In Crypto than at the Bank? on: July 26, 2018, 11:08:32 AM
Not yet but we will get there though if your paranoid like me  Grin and obsessed with the security of your coins and proper risk management you could be good but you can't control market if prices crash but putting money that you want to invest in crypto is in my opinion safer and more profitable in the long term.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange or Wallet? on: July 25, 2018, 02:11:18 PM
yeah i prefer to keep my coins in a hardware wallet for the ones supported and a metamask for ERC20 but i keep the ones that i m trading on the exchanges + if you don't own the private keys you don't have control over your assets so always refrain from leaving coins on exchanges.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So Who Agree with me On this picture about ICO projects? on: July 24, 2018, 10:48:30 AM
Most ICO projects will present a beautiful white paper of their project, but when they release their project, it will be far from what is been stated on the white paper.

So Who Agree with me On this picture about ICO projects?

LMAO it's so true though for a majority of project + it's just how building things work, in your mind you see the fully functioning end product but it will take a long time to get to it and things are always changing in this space and there is no regulation so most projects have to play along with what they have.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Between EOS and NEO on: July 20, 2018, 02:50:50 PM
I keep wondering what could be any body's conclusion on this two coins? NEO brings to the table a new consensus algorithm called Delegated Byzantine fank tolerance. Which is better?

yeah and EOS is some kind of that too but to me NEO is hands down better with it's ecosystem and has a great community of devs from city of ZION with alot of intresting use cases for blockchain plus you get GAS for holding NEO Wink all in all i think EOS can be good too but NEO is just progressing faster.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Altcoin price depend on BTC or ETH?? on: July 19, 2018, 08:15:05 AM
i think it is since most ALTS are paired with BTC and/or ETH not USD so to sell you have to go ALT=>BTC/ETH=>USD and to buy you go USD=>BTC/ETH=>ALT i yhink they are correlated and that's why they tend to go up together and down together although to variant degree.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The market is moving up on: July 18, 2018, 02:28:16 PM
At this time the market is starting to move up slowly, what action?
Will sell or hold until the price goes to the moon, please give me feedback and suggestions so no missteps and losses .

this could be it but i would wait for confirmation i wouldn't hesitate to sell some profitable positions partially to secure some profits though i'm not sure we're going to moon in a few days anyway the market will take some time to get there again but eventually it will so my advice secure profit as much as you can so you can buy more in case of another Dip.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: With how much should i start on: July 18, 2018, 11:08:33 AM
How much do i need to start trading altcoins. I would like to know what would be the ideal number.

Thanks!

with whatever you can afford to put and it depends on your technical skills if your just beginning you should put little money just so you can practice trading in a real environment but if you're an experienced trader put all that you can afford to lose + some proper risk management.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to all this but and have bought up altcoins. Long term investment advice on: July 18, 2018, 11:05:06 AM
Hi. Have bought up a load of alt coins..the pretty 'safe' ones or as safe as can be. I have stored them in my ledger and was wondering whether its worth them just sitting there for the long haul. Do you think this is a wise move? I am hoping one of them will take off. I have invested in:

Ripple
Litecoin
Ripple
Etherium
Neo
Eos
Stella
Bitcoin cash
Cordano

Just need advice thanx

hi there well it seems like you are doing good for yourself you put money in high cap coins with big trading volumes so yeah you should be fine in the long haul its very wise actually you will profit it just might not be as much as investing in mid or lower cap coins i think small cap coins outperform in a bull market
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ICO is better from the Three on: July 17, 2018, 10:06:33 AM
Zilliqa is definetly a solid project and it's now ranked 27 on CMC "Zilliqa’s high throughput means that you can focus on developing your ideas without worrying about network congestion, high transaction fees or security which are the key issues with legacy blockchain platforms." it's just scalable and secure , a project with some great partnerships.Pundi X is also good in my opinion with their XPOS solution and could play a role in making crypto more accessible to the masses. as far as that Kakushin ecosystem goes i think it's just another project that want to piggy back off the blockchain/Decentralised/... to gather money but there is plenty of project out there working on the same with solid execution and great teams so i don't see Kakushin competitive advantage.(PS: if you're open to more projects check U Network, ZAP , PRiVCY)
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it better to buy during ICO or Market? on: July 13, 2018, 02:57:09 PM
I noticed that many investors were afraid to buy during ICO because their reason they are cheaper can be bought on market. Especially when they found out  that a large percentage is allotted in the bounty program. Many Bounty Hunters  immediately selling token/coin even lower than the ICO price.

#Datarius

YEAH i agree with that in a downtrend you can't really buy from ICO even if you like the project as almost every ico that went out in this bear market are trading below ico price (notice i m talking about public price not private sale those can be very good with all the bonuses some get 100% but again that's exactly why you shoudn't buy into public sales) so yes and no if you have enough money to get into closed private sales go for it but investing in a public sale is not worth for me.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you even read whitepaper bro? on: July 13, 2018, 11:12:47 AM
Let be real. How many of you guys actually read the whitepaper? I read whitepaper sometimes, but reading multiple of them can be a burden and a headache. Do you guys got any tips on getting through whitepaper a little faster. It killing a lot of time. Thank.

i mean if i'm going to put my money in a project i will definetly read the whitepaper even if i don't really understand the technicalities of it but it is very useful and can give you an idea on the project and the professionalism of the team and the reasearch they did and the way they present themselves but yeah i get it it may take a lot of time.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long-term investment. on: July 12, 2018, 12:49:03 PM
How do you feel about long-term investment? Do you see the priorities in this? What do you think is the reason for this? Where to invest in your opinion?

i think mid to long term investement is the way to go the market is so volatile that i can't do it any other way that is if you invest in projects that are long term oriented in their work and you can rest assured that in the end your assets will be worth much more than they did a year/2 ago i think there is a lot of good long term oriented projects in this space you just got to put in the time and effort to do research and only trust yourself to assess if it's worth the risk or not.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TUSD or USDT? on: July 11, 2018, 01:15:09 PM
i like USDT just because it's available on most exchanges and it serves the same purpose which is a great way for capital to enter the market as for me it's a good way also to secure your profits in a coin that's doesn't face much volatility. i know that a lot of people have a problem with USDT and it's USD backed coins but i've seen audit reports from them and they try to be as transparent as they can.
