41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: September 18, 2017, 09:59:36 PM
This thread has really slowed down...

I'd like to try some new mods.

Interested in the Xevan miner

you and everyone else on the green team Cheesy
Sadly we need to wait for someone to open source ccminer code on XEVAN before SP can do his thing, so as of now, there is nothing Cheesy  funny how that goes, it would be SUPER profitable to write imo if someone did/could

It isn't easy. Palgin said it requires at least 10-15days of work exactly knowing what to do (It is just to make it work on nvidia GPU)

well, it's just a matter of extending the x17 algos to 1024 bits, which in most cases is just repeating a call and setting the padding.
the most boring part is looking for info on how to set the padding correctly (or looking at the cpu code to guess it).
I think it should take max one day for a decent cuda programmer.
I thought of doing it a lot of times, but I always had something more fun and more profitable to do.
Ghmm. You've just spend time on fixing xcn wallet which is close to death. Smiley That was more profitable?

it's not close to death and, well, let's say it was very satisfactory :-)

There is finally a stable, working wallet?

Anybody knows whats up with bitcore?
Yesterday pool showed 3 coin per my rig, today about one coin?

Diff is up alot.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HLM] HELIUM - PRE NOTICE on: August 26, 2017, 12:48:47 PM
Holding my breath, waiting for announcements, subscribing to this thread.  Knuckles white with anticipation, and ready to start a masternode when the time comes.

Slack is the place to be if you want the announcements and updates, karma has said next week will be when the announcements start coming in really. Chain isnt going to launch for a few more weeks, so its mostly just waiting at this point.

Actually the second post of this thread is the place to be for updates since it is titled "RESERVED FOR REGULAR UPDATES."

Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with Slack. Some people don't have the time in a day to scroll to find and/or search for updates.

The second post was designed for this function to save time. I've asked like three times now and the post has not been updated in months. It would be best to just take it down if it is not going to be utilized in which it was designed for.

It's the little things that has to be done right when it comes to business.

Another  copy paste job from Tpruvot. With the same error in the hashrate as krlx. 20% is lost on the pool.
The free palgin mod or the donation miner (sp-mod) is working at full speed.

Bullshit.

The speed and shares on tpruvot is working on my end on miner and pool..

Agree !
You mine on suprnova ?

Yiimp

If one tunes a Ford truck and sells it for profit , is it stealing from Ford ? Dont think so . Selling your work , skills and improvements you made to a certain product is totally fine .

SP does not include the retarded dev fee and for that we will continue buying the improvements he does . We are paying for tuning and no we dont want the retarded % Dev Fee that helps no one . When you make 1 millions cows each deliver extra gallon of milk per day with free public available steroid injection guess what happens ? Milk price goes down by same % of this phantom "improvement" . No one benefits as every nicehash noob out there gets the bust from public injection .

When Claymore released hes miners to  public , every time the difficulty would skyrocket and profit remained the same after 1 day when everyone downloaded . +5% speed = + 5% difficulty = SAME PROFIT to miner . NO BENEFIT to miner what so ever when its public , only benefit to developer .

The only thing SP needs to do is protect hes tune up work against stealing and public sharing . Link somehow buyer to miner by unique login/password generation linked to email or something like that and will be Golden , both him and buyers . As for now both parties are taking loses , SP work stolen and buyers profits also stolen because of pirated and shared copies that too many get for free rendering the speed improvent we payed for useless . This is number one priority , if we pay for unique product improvements it shall remain unique only to those who payed for it .

holy crap ...

i read the first line and stopped ...

if you tune the ford AND its against the LAW to do so - then yes you stealing from ford because that would be the LAW - only FORD can tune their cars ...

the rules are the rules - no matter which way you look at it or bend it ...
GPL is GPL no matter which way you look at it - or bend it ...
the license states what it states - anything you do OUTSIDE of those license agreements is breaking the license AND the LAW ...

please dont allow these silly concoctions of things that dont compare to play a part in this ...

furthermore - 'his' so called optimizations are never allowed to see the light of PUBLIC day - only internal use ... as 'his' optimizations are based on every other devs optimizations before him ... and those previous devs have ALL complied with the GPL licensing ... so if ANYONE is actually stealing work - and compiling privately - and SELLING other peoples work - guess who that is? ...

ill give YOU an example - so maybe its easier for you to fathom ...

the LAW states that you should not drive faster than the signed speeds of the road ... 60 means 60 ...

you CAN drive faster than the signed speed limits - but then you are breaking the LAW - and there are consequences for it IF you are policed ...

guess what rune is doing? ...

nuff sed ...

#crysx

I also stopped after the first line.

Don't compare apples to oranges.

If you want to know some ccminer history github is a nice place to check.

Here is a commit back in nov 2014: (faster echo512)

https://github.com/sp-hash/ccminer/commit/3cc7e9db091b277d9357b20f2d9101846bee54dc

Here is another commit Jan 2015 (Faster groestl512)

https://github.com/sp-hash/ccminer/commit/1c61d0eebb1ee49bcdb137d5c7291fc0fb3e810d

Every algo have been optimized by me, and I have done it opensource.

If you see the latest alexis fork, he base his work on the same code.

So I did the work, Eplyson copied my work, and Alexis reforked my work. And then They bitch about it when I add some more speed and refuse to share my changes..Huh

You really tried to go there.

Name one algo that you have released before Epsy or any other Nvidia dev has?

I'll be waiting for that answer.

You release nothing. You copy every algo that Epsy has released that you put in "your" miner.

EVERYONE here needs to wake up and realize the day Epsy stops releasing algo's then this ccminer is done.

Everyone who donates to sp has a backward thought process. The real person who should be getting donations is Epsy for his work in releasing the algo's and code for sp to take and claim as his own.

Here is a question to EVERYONE who has been donating to sp ASK HIM FOR THE SOURCE and he must provide it per the License.

So everyone mining algo's - skunk, dnr and timetravel10 you should really be donating to Epsy for giving you the opportunity to mine it.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=770064.msg19977610#msg19977610  What was wrong. You could not release it yourself?
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HLM] HELIUM - PRE NOTICE on: August 05, 2017, 12:20:30 AM
Undecided

You guy's know Helium is just an escape vehicle for Spreadcoin bag holders? Do some research.

https://github.com/spreadcoin/spreadcoin

Why would a developer fork this s@*t?

Only sensible reason behind it is so Spreadcoin bag holders are able to finally have a large stake in a masternode token.

Spreadcoin $1 now, nearing $10 marketcap... with the prospect of above code and masternodes?

Wow.

So you still waiting for that?

Are people still paying him monthly for the "use" of his new wallet?

I guess we need to leave the talk of SPR in the SPR thread and leave this for HLM discussion.

49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HLM] HELIUM - PRE NOTICE on: July 31, 2017, 11:36:25 AM
Everyone please be advised, as it doesn't seem to be clear.

THE DATE FOR THE SNAPSHOT IS NOT AUGUST 1.

The new snapshot date will be announced later, and will take place sometime before the September launch.

Would it not have been easier for coins101 to actually post himself in the second post that is titled "RESERVED FOR REGULAR UPDATES." Instead of linking to a paste bin that is still kind of vague? I am just meaning that it does not actually say out right that the snap shot date is moved to "x" (which said link is not even in the "RESERVED FOR REGULAR UPDATES".

Hey guys, we're doing a group buy for SP signatum skunk mod #2! Smiley Smiley We're going in together at 0.01 btc each and we need 2 more people to join! PM if you're interested.

Regards
Your group sales are gonna force sp to put a dev fee into the miner.

Anyone who is partaking in this group sale; u r stealing.

Well isn't that the pot calling the kettle black.

Are there any good nodes to actually sync the wallet?

Just stay away from zpool period.

You will be missing coins no matter what you mine there.

Contacting the pool owner will not help as they will state there is no issues.

There is a reason they locked their thread.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: July 09, 2017, 04:48:41 AM
If anyone wants to purchase the SP-MOD spreadcoin private miner at a discount price I'm selling it for half price 0.025 BTC

my btc address: 3Dt62uBuNCDxHcA8cFxaaJHZjtAufoq7EP

Send me a PM with your email and I will send it out to you.

Anyone that buys this is risking a virus and also guaranteeing that SP will no longer produce software for us to mine with!

MAJOR DICK MOVE!

Isn't this what sp is doing though.

He already posted in Epsy's thread to release an algo that is being worked on so he can take it and "improve" it so he can sell it.

Funny how he has not added any algo's to his version but only after someone else releases theirs.

Instead of cutting the supply there might be maybe a way to cut it artificially temporaryly.
Maybe there could be a way to make ones coins unspendable for a specific time (maybe a year). And somewhere should be listed how many coins are unspendable and how long. This would build more trust into the coin and fear of whales smashing the price could be reduced.
But I have no idea why someone would make his coins unspendable, other than preventing himself from selling too early in a panic. Maybe there might be some way to stabilise the system with those coins or something.

I know this might be a stupid and pointless suggestion but its not as stupid as suggesting to cut the supply. That would smash trust in a second.

Not to be funny but go ask Hodl Coin how that turned out for them.

Some people are really complaining because they did not 17 coins in their wallet?

For anyone that says well I did not know. Well the dev has been updating and you should have guessed higher and had a minimum of 20.

It really is not that much. 20 coins would have given you a total of 30.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ccminer 2.0 - opensource - GPL (tpruvot) on: June 26, 2017, 04:18:20 AM
did a quick search, didn't find much relevant to this:

Suddenly when I run ccminer 2.0 for lbry or lyra2rev2 both of my rigs exhibit a behavior where they will instantly power down. Its not power related, they are on separate circuits, have been running zcash mining 24/7 for several weeks.

Intermittently, usually within 5 seconds to a few minutes there will be instant power off. Using CUDA and gtx 1080's and gtx 1080tis in separate rigs.

There's nothing in event viewer after the fact, and the shutdown is not a blue screen - instant power cut (and subsequently reboots due to BIOS reboot on power loss).

Has anyone else experienced this before? Its crazy, and only ccminer does this. I've tried 1.85 as well, different nvidia driver versions (382.53 newest atm). Super weird.

NOTE: It really isn't power related - I'm nowhere near limits of current / temperature. One of the crashes did take longer than usual, and I was able to get a windows 10 kernel MEMORY.DMP. I'm almost certain its an nvidia driver fault.

It is power. If it's instant, they don't get time to warmup, so it's not heat. If it's the OS it will BSOD or do something more graceful. Your powersupply is more then likely too small or trips too early on overvoltage protection (which is why you have to overprovision).

Zcash uses less power then Lyra2v2, especially if you turn down the TDP.

well I appreciate the responses!

Both are Windows 10 Pro Creators Update x64.

Rig 1:
2x Strix 1080ti, Corsair AX1200i 1200w plat PSU. total power load is 520w, its not coming anywhere near its limit. Cards undervolted to 0.812v, pull about 215w each with zcash and 202w with lbry. both in mobo. I definitely don't doubt the overvoltage protection trip, its a known thing with a lot of AX1200i's. However, I've pulled far more wattage through with both set at 120% power limit during stress testing, with each consuming 320w simultaneously.

Rig 2:
6x Gigabyte 1080, undervolted to 0.825v, ~135w each. single 8pin, powered risers. no issue running zcash for weeks. Seasonic SSR-1200PD 1200w plat. Total load is ~930w from wall, however kitguru has tests pulling 1350 sustained from it before a shutdown.

The fact that this is happening on two separate circuits with different powersupplies, different cards, different configs (direct in slot on mobo, other rig is on powered risers) lead me to believe its really not a power issue - though I understand why it would be top of the list. Hmm.

The only common things I can think of are the same OS, same nvidia driver version, and CUDA 7.5 / 8.0 from different ccminer builds. I also wonder if the ccminer implementation of the lbry / lyra2rev2 algos contains some power spiking, which might trip over voltage protection on the PSUs.

Did you try to raise the card voltage back up?

KNow it might suck but try one card in each rig with the miner and see if it stays running.

Don't have an answer as to your information but in case someone else reads.

What OS are on?

How many cards per rig and what is the PSU Wattage (I know you said it's not power related but the more information is helpful)?

Are the cards under/over clocked?

Maybe voltage related to the cards (or cpu).

Just throwing out idea. Sometimes the simple things are overlooked.

I am using cc miner 2.0 after compiling on Ubuntu 16.04 and pointed at Minergate.Com mining with crypto night ago and my shares are not showing up.

I have tried different combinations with options -u xxx -p yyy, userpass=×××:yyy and not getting credit.  Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Also -u stratum+tcp://xmr.pool.minergate.com:45560
Per their website.

THE "-u" FLAG SPECIFIES USERNAME--

The mining pool url is specified with the "-o" flag.  Run "ccminer -h > help.txt"  for a text file that has correct information on launch flags.       --scryptr

Just to add on to scryptr, I do believe your username is your email. At least that is what I had to use many moons ago.

new site is up and running (served directly from our github repo!)

some edits and additions will be taking place over the next 24-48 hours, so please be patient as new content arrives.

also, i'm remaking the OP so the images are served quicker.

-stay tuned-

Site looks good and I know it says it is still having edits.

Just wanted to let you know on my end the link to pools does not work. It just goes back to the top of the page.
