41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What’s the best coin to buy apart from bitcoin on: December 22, 2019, 02:54:23 PM
I recommend:
Atomic wallet coin (AWC)
LHT
STEEM.

For your good, store your AWC off exchange. You can use Atomic wallet if you don't already one. Get it from https://atomicwallet.com
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Its false misrepresentation: Matic Network will not do that. on: December 18, 2019, 09:03:33 AM
Although the facts behind this chaos have been revealed, but this announcement does not seem to make things back to normal. On the contrary, the price of Matic at Binance continues to free fall. But I think this is a natural thing, given the funds for the founder have been released so that whenever they can sell it, and of course this has indirectly made most traders and investors afraid to buy it back.

I think its only a matter of time when it will gain people's confidence back. The market will bounce back to normal, more Dapps moving onto matic hence investors will see reason to reinstate confidence.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Its false misrepresentation: Matic Network will not do that. on: December 18, 2019, 09:00:49 AM
I myself also totally believe the integrity of the team behind the Matic Network.

Yeah, have same mindset as mine. I do not believe such a project moving to the top would do that.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Its false misrepresentation: Matic Network will not do that. on: December 17, 2019, 04:46:14 PM
If anyone knows matic network, it is one of the top cryptocurrencies on Coinmarketcap.com (CMC).
Aftermath of the allegation made by @xGozzy on twitter appeared to be what is to be termed false misrepresentation hence false allegation.

Dude didn't do his homework well. After causing panic, he tendered public apology for his devastating and damaging action neglecting the consequence of his low knowledge on the Matic project. The full story can be found here https://medium.com/matic-network/foundation-token-movement-accounting-f4bd9104eab2

Matic network is a good project as it solves the big issue facing Ethereum network which is Scalability. Different projects has been building and moving on to matic such as Betbull protocol, Battleracer etc. with this, I believe the project will see adoption and will bounce back to top 10 sooner.

Also, there has been other theories for the sudden fall of which was said to be the direct fault of Binance as it not only affect Matic but other projects too. It might also mean the act of whales to bag more Matic token as many have well regretted missing out of buying more of the matic token while it was cheap.

45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH to zero? This guy is dreaming! on: December 17, 2019, 04:14:55 PM
Anti-crypto campaigner and perennial Bitcoin basher, Nouriel Roubini, is at it again. But this time around, he’s after Ethereum (ETH). According to a tweet by “Dr. Doom,” Ethereum is still a long way from its “fundamental value” of $0. Just like his previous criticism on Bitcoin, Roubini is certain that in the long run, ETH will hit a $0 price mark.

For some time now, Dr. Doom has been bashing cryptocurrency with his skepticism of several financial markets, including bitcoin.

Source link here

ETH to zero? In your dreams, hater!!!

There come a time that ETH may be bottoming out within this month, but it would not go down to zero for sure.

Before Virgil Griffith was arrested, he shared to me and the rest of the attendees last January 2019 at the Boracay Blockchain Summit about Ethereum's proof-of-stake and the future developments, and why we should be excited about them in the long run. Same thing with Vitalik Buterin when he talks about Ethereum's bright future at Token 2049 Hongkong.

After the Ethereum supermeetup, he and the other keynote speakers are in an AMA session answering the community's questions related to the project.

For me, I honestly think that we should be excited about Ethereum's long-term future, not focusing on Roubini's hate speech about them, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

To be honest, Nouriel Roubini is nothing but an all-in-one stupid idiot!

Big dream. And I do not think he will ever wake up from it.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why we buy new token or coin? on: December 17, 2019, 04:11:07 PM
You already answered it. It all depends on what you came here to do in the cyptospace. I buy coins or tokens to resell and make more. I recently bought Atomic Wallet Coin (AWC) because coin is very cheap now and supply is low. More so, the team is very active and has a use case of a universal wallet where one can manage his portfolio over 300 cryptocurrencies. You can find out more information at https://atomicwallet.io
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Altcoins ; Most shitcoins are noisy. See the code. on: December 09, 2019, 08:26:48 PM
I have come to understand that good projects really don't make much noise.
But when you Spot them painted in:

R - 255

G - 108

B -  10

Mostly, they are red traffic light.

altcoins = ['ETH', 'LTC', 'BNB']

shitcoins = [  ]
_noiseless = "LHT"
_noiseless_trade = "Alterdice"

for coins in altcoins:
     new_coin = input("What is the name of your coin")
     new_coin.lower()
     altcoins.append(new_coin)
     coin_state = len(new_coin)

     if coin_state >= noise **:
               altcoins.remove(new_coin)
               shitcoins.append(new_coin)
               print("\nBe extra careful before investing")

     elif coin_state < noise(moderate + verifiedteam):
               print("Give it consideration, but DYOR")
               print("\nBuy " + _noiseless + " while cheap, on " +
                _noiseless_trade + ".\nDon't forget to DYOR. ")
     print(altcoins)
     print(shitcoins)

Please run this code and improve it.

Do you think I'm wrong?
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Other ways of digital Marketing outside Bounties for cryptocurrencies. on: December 04, 2019, 03:51:17 PM
Can New projects and platforms derive another means of projecting or advertising their products here on bitcointalk or other social media. the days of Airdrops are over and currently airdrops are not beneficial because most tokens received during airdrops are not sufficient enough to be transferred to an exchange. same can be seeing for ICO. it has been upgraded to IEO.
Can campaign mangers derived another means of campaigning for their projects outside and inside of bitcointalk that will require work on platforms different from twitter, Facebook and telegram.

Is there any other means of reaching the world nowadays other than social media?
I bet the answer is Yes.

If so, I think what this post should be about is for the projects to inculcate new way of rewarding users such as smartdrop and earndrop etc. These get the best hand for promoting the project. I did one for MorpheusLabs that earned me $1k. I gave in my best more than mere tweeting or liking, I wrote article that cost me up to 24hrs to complete it. I ensure i promoted my posts to friends and do other few tasks. I detest airdrop with passion. It is a practical waste of time and energy. In the end, one cannot even send to exchange.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Altcoins with staking program should influence decentralization. on: December 04, 2019, 03:43:25 PM
Hacking! Hacking! Hacking! on the high side. Exchanges absconding with investors and hustlers' hard earned money. No one seems to hear their cries.
very pitiable to see people struggling to gather few bucks to make a life in crypto, ended being victims of unscrupulous acts of robbers displayed in exchange garment and or from the black hackers.

Many had participated in staking programs on exchanges eventually lost so bad. I suppose and doubt if the ALT project would compensate for that or the exchange would. But this can be prevented easily only if projects could partner with non-custodian decentralized wallets for robust staking programs such as @atomicwallet does. Maybe there are other wallets that provide such service, I really cannot tell of them as I only know of Atomic wallet since it is what I use for staking. Very cool. Visit https://atomicwallet.io for more info and download. I hope this helps if you have been looking for one.

I believe we can savage the old devilish act of scam exit if this practice is cultivated.

50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a scam attempt? Or Nothing to panic? on: December 01, 2019, 02:28:39 PM
Centralized exchanges are more reminiscent of the fraudulent projects. I think people are already tired of unregulated cryptocurrency exchanges that suddenly shut down and block users funds. This is pure fraud. The site is still working, trading is underway, but, as noted in the article for November 29, the input and output of funds is not available.

I think the unaware ones are still allowed to fall victim of depositing if truly the site is open for trade. But I learnt withdrawal is not possible for now. So bad.

Feels bad for you, i think it's already the time for decentralized exchanges to shine because people should have to use decentralized exchanges to avoiding an exit scam exchange. More over dex is more "crypto" and the place for crypto trading should be.

You hit it. More reason I recommend Atomic wallet to friends after a friends told me. But right now, I do not really need to visit any centralized exchange to exchange my assets. If need be, I'll only need someone to recommend a good Dex for me for any new tokens not yet available on Atomic wallet.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a scam attempt? Or Nothing to panic? on: December 01, 2019, 02:25:10 PM
Personally, I have never used IDAX Exchange. It is strange to use small cryptocurrency Exchanges instead of trading on Binance or Coinbase. If to talk about this occasion with IDAX, it looks like exit scam.

But Binance was hacked this year. But it gained its stance because it is a top crypto exchange, bigger one for the matter. Binance suffered huge amount of loss by taken up the burden from the exchange's treasury.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a scam attempt? Or Nothing to panic? on: December 01, 2019, 02:22:45 PM
This incident was already designed by them. If the IDAX CEO suddenly disappears and closes his services, of course he really intends to take the assets owned by members who make deposits to IDAX, this must be thoroughly investigated.

If they come to make an announcement like that it is true that the CEO of Idax ran away. And I agree, for this case it is better to conduct an investigation now than it would be difficult to investigate if left too long. Maybe Idax's CEO has been discouraged by the current situation, especially the exchange is losing competitiveness, so he chose to run away and take user money.
If this case is left too long, then this case will just disappear. Someone must investigate this case thoroughly to find out the motives of the CEO of IDAX. IDAX's competitiveness with other platforms may be the reason why IDAX's CEO disappeared. Choosing to run away and take all the assets of IDAX users the right way to overcome the losses that IDAX experienced.

That would be the worst mistake he ever made. How can he attempt that? Why people heartless?

Is it a sad story or just a normal one?
There have been a of cases like this. Just different kind of story.
They got hacked or they got back stabbed by another employee. Something like that.
It is all the same for me. They just need a reason to make money. They might be in a bad situation in financial needs and they need an exit.
This is just the way. The only way.
of course, this is a sad story. although idax is not very popular, but it is also a place of commerce for some people. this causes many people who come back to do not believe in cryptocurrency. like any type of exchanger, this news will get to international news and carry the name cryptocurrency in it. isn't that a bad thing when they use cryptocurrency for their greed. I hope Idax's CEO will be found soon.

I wish I could build some kinda of bot or robot that finds people and catch them wherever they may hide. He needs to pay for it if he truly absconded.

So disheartening

You were right, IDAX have made their exit scam strategy because I find it kinda strange for a CEO to just vanish with all the funds and saying that the other team members has nothing to do with it. There is something more with their story but this is a total scam and I feel sorry for those who have lost their funds on that shit exchange.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a scam attempt? Or Nothing to panic? on: December 01, 2019, 02:14:50 PM
I see this as a complete scam. Not even considered this as scam attempt. Horrible news this morning. Luckily I don't have my coins there in that exchange. In general, coins should not be kept in the exchanges.

Pretty lucky you
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a scam attempt? Or Nothing to panic? on: November 29, 2019, 04:11:35 PM
If you are doubting about this thing then it's better to move your funds to a better exchange or in a secured wallet as early a possible. This occurrence on such exchange is really suspicious so we have to do something before it's too late. I have tried using Idax before and there were really lots of lapses. There are still lots of exchanges that you can trust despite all the issues that exchanges are now facing.

I really do not have my funds on IDAX anymore. I was lucky to get out weeks ago and moved it to atomic wallet.
But now I'm worried for other users since withdrawal is not possible for now. This is because the cold wallet where cryptocurrencies on IDAX are kept is not accessible.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a scam attempt? Or Nothing to panic? on: November 29, 2019, 04:06:28 PM
I just read a topic about stealing $50 million of Ethereum from the Upbit exchange. Now I read about it, what the hell is going on? I think this will be a big blow to the crypto market. What will happen next?

It's so disappointing and disheartening to see things like this recurring in crypto space. Maybe bittrex, kucoin, gopax or which, will be the next. I encourage everyone to revert to using non-custodian wallet. Let's not be a victim anymore.

More reason we crave for Decentralization.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a scam attempt? Or Nothing to panic? on: November 29, 2019, 04:02:40 PM
yesterday we heard about a hack on upbit and today we are hearing idax, is it a coincidence?

Do I guess there is no saving grace if it turns out to be what was displayed to the public by the IDax blog. Who should we then hold responsible? I am worried for those with huge funds in there.

i think this case is different from the upbit because on upbit that exchange got hacked and they will replace the user funds with their funds,
while on idax case is caused because of the CEO and their staff so it's totally different
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a scam attempt? Or Nothing to panic? on: November 29, 2019, 04:00:41 PM
the exchange industry has been hit once again it hurts to see news like this when the market is vulnerable my estimation will be the bad part when ether thrown away to usd later ,obviously scam by bringing in funds so large that other companies engaged in the erc industry too will also be devastated

But I can't comprehend why we still fall for exchanges.
