Hi!

I have rx470 strix 8g oc micron, 1750 straps copied.
Is it normal that my setting (-60mV +50% power 1110 clock 2000mem) works fine with single ETH mining with claymore 9.4, but when I do dual ETH+DCR it crashes after 5-20 mins?
Can it be that different -dcri values causes different uptime? Like -dcri 31 works fine, but -dcri 28 crashes?

my start.bat:

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -epool eu2.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal 0xb108bfda0a62097d63e6b623fdde27ecb7b8ab61.EMA01 -epsw x -dpool stratum+tcp://dcr.suprnova.cc:3252 -dwal mathison.EMAdec01 -dpsw x -dcri 28 -allpools 1 -allcoins 1
Dual mining uses more power, so you can't lower clocks as much. Zcash is the same. You need tested stable settings for each situation.

Is it possible to set specific GPU´s to dual mine and some to solo mine on the same rig? Say in a 6x gpu rig 3 would dual mine and 3 would solo mine. If this is possible, help with the config would be appreciated, thx!
First post......RTFM.

I tried to dual mine eth and sia, the two issues I got was

a) the miner was showing the same hash rate for sia and eth, and the sia hash rate was too low compare to my normal hash rate, about 50 times lower.

b) I was not getting any shares for ethereum, just a hash rate and 0 shares.

I am mining on a single M60 GPU, can it be that eth shares take "forever", or was there some other problem you think.
You can try older/different drivers, but I don't know of any drivers for mining such a card. Try googling to see if anyone has gotten a M60 to mine.

When you know stable clocks you can set them in bios as default.
It is pretty fucking hard to find the best stable low wattage settings to hard code into the bios when you can't use something like Trixx or Afterburner to try different things  Roll Eyes

Hi,

I have a problem with a rig.
Yesterday I removed an older R9 card. Now there are only 4 x RX480s in the rig.
When I started the rig, it started-stoped-started-stoped-started but no screen, no beeps, nothing.
I removed all unnecessary things (so only cpu and mem is on the motherboard) and stil the same!
The mainboard is an Asrock btc pro.
CPU is an intel G1840
Ii tried a couple of different memory.
Power supply is an EVGA 1600 G2.

Any ideas?

regards,
eric
First I would reset the CMOS.

i 've tried that!
But no luck!!!
Ok next I would try getting the board to boot to the bios.........nothing connected like you did before, except this time try only one stick of mem you dam sure is good. Try it in each slot to see if you can get to the bios. Don't forget to disconnect the drive your OS is on.

I did all that.
just motherboard, CPU and 1 stick of good mem. (no HD, no GPU, no nothing...)
Still the same!

eric

tried with other ram.
Still nothing.
Next........I'd order a new mobo. There is a chance your cpu went bad, but the odds against that are pretty high. You could also double check each of the power cables and PSU.....but it is likely a mobo gone bad on you.

Anyone else can;t get Trixx, Afterburner, or even gpuz to show clocks with 5xx cards with modded vbios? And hopefully know a workaround.

None of them show the clocks, or anything else, and I can't change anything either. GpuZ shows the wattage used, but not much else. The drivers are cobbled together so 7 cards will run. Using Trixx on one machine I'm able to at least see the clocks by hitting the stealth button, make changes, and save................but none of the changes apply or when they loaded they can't be applied. Hitting "apply" doesn't do a dam thing.

Right now the only way to make/apply changes is putting them in the .bat that Claymore uses. It is rather annoying.

havent seen this answer yet, hoping for quick clarification.

I have 3 rx 480s and, newly acquired, for ethereum mining with Claymore's. I am trying to find a way to write bat files that lets me game on the top 2 480s while 24/7 mining with the 3rd card. Essentially I need crossfire to ignore the 3rd card so it can mine without screwing up my gaming. I am on windows 7 64-bit

When I'm not gaming ill mine with all 3 480s.

Is anyone able to help with this conundrum? Seems like it should be simple but I can't figure it out. Thanks in advance.
First page RTFM. You can turn on cards ON in your .bat OR you can turn cards on/off during mining. Either would work, but turning a card on/off would be simpler and prevent restarting Claymore.

Hello everyone. I have a problem with one of my rigs.

I get the ""WATCHDOG: GPU 0 hangs in OpenCL call, exit" problem after about 20-60 min running the claymore miner. It started tough with that my miner was loosing internet connection after running a while. When i fixed that by installing new network adapter drivers, the connection was stable but the GPU´s started to give 0.00 mh´s after a while, until getting the error message.

I did overclock the rig in the beggining, but i have reseted the MSI afterburner settings to default and i also did a bios mod, but i flashed the cards back to the original bios. I also dont think that the bios mod was the problem, because i have 3 more rigs with rx 470 with the same mod, and they all work great.

Specs:
Intel Celeron G1840 Processor
Asrock H81 Pro BTC motherboard
6x AMD Radeon RX 470 4GB
4GB DDR3 Memory
60GB SDD Harddisk
1000W Gold power supply
Windows 10 operating system

I have already tried to:

- Run the miner with the gser and eser commands and have also tried both dual and solo mining(both have same problems).
- fresh install of both operating system and Gpu drivers (first gpu drivers with DDU and after that operating system).
- Checked every riser, but they all work on a diffrent system so thats not the problem.
- Setting virtual memory to atleast 16000
- Tried old claymore miners, from 6.3 and up, same problem.

I dont really know what to do at this point, would really appreciate help if someone knows what might be causing this. Smiley

leave 1 card only, remove other cards a mine for 2 hours. If the miner does not crash replace the card and repeat the test. If you do not find a "faulty card" by trying all 6 then start adding cards - two for 2 hours, 3 for 2 hours, 4 for 2 hours, 5 for 2 hours and finally 6. Post the results of these tests here.
First thing I would check is to see if Win10 changing virtual mem settings during an update(which I see you checked), or updated the drivers. Both things are on the same pop up. After checking virtual mem on the advance tab, click on the hardware tab and tell winblows to not update drivers. Winblows will update drivers as it boots. Also what are the card temps when they shut down or start spitting out opencl errors?

I got both boards running 7 cards Smiley Another P version of the board coming tomorrow. After that my sack of M.2 NGFF to PCI-E 4x should arrive at SOME point, so I'll really be able to test. I know one thing for sure, these are dam good mining boards, especially if they didn't cost so friggin much. $160usd each at LEAST, but dam they are rock solid running 7 cards........unless you make a idiot setup error like I originally did.(The sata cable I used in each test, the same fucking cable tested over and over with horrible results.......yep, it was bad. Once I accidentally tried another sata cable, the first board fied up all 7 cards without issue. Used the bad cable to set up board two, and of course got 3-4 hours of frustration, until I realized it could be a bad cable....................which it was. Popped a new cable on board two and it fired up all 7 easy peasy)

So I see version 3.3 is out and I have looked everywhere on how to upgrade as I bought version 3.2  few days ago. I do not see anywhere on the forum where to downlaod the new version any help?
It is on his github. I'm waiting until he releases the full bang version of it with Kraken working with the all-pairs.

What is linux or nvidia? The first doesn't interest me, and the second I can't afford lol.

I made an nvOC image which supports 8x nvidia GPUs with this mobo using an m2 adapter.   Smiley
I have some M.2 NGFF to PCI-E 4x on the way. Wanted to do at least 8, possibly 9 cards. Help me out. Hell I can't even get 7 running.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASUS Prime Z270A with 7 GPU on: June 02, 2017, 04:17:01 AM
The board will easily do 6 RX 5xx cards
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DR-FkpU2KfI  to properly prepare the mobo.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTusQ0omj8M   for your drivers.

My question is how do I get it to run the 7th card? 6 is easy peasy. Add the 7th card and nothing..............I mean NOTHING!. Even with an EVGA 1600 T2 or using an EVGA 1300 paired properly with an EVGA 1000, I get the same result................nothing. I mean the PSU appears dead. The CPU fan won't even spin at power up, and it dam well won't POST. It simply appears like the PSU is dead. Remove the 7th card and the system fires back up and works normally mining on 6. Using two risers per sata port on the PSU. I've tried moving risers around, swapping them out(I have a sack of 50 new version 6-7. They said to be 6, but many are 7) Nothing works. Tested and working risers connected in any order onto the mobo works up to 6 cards. Add the 7th and you get what appears to be a dead PSU. I'm fucking baffled.
