WOW, but how stable is that? I've never even heard of RX 470 with 34MH/s not even RX 480 hashing more than 33MH/s... I've 2 Strix. One give me 28MH/s, the other 26-24, same bios...... Where is the problem?!?! In one card i'm able to get 1950MHz, the other 1900 or crash.. Same card, same bios. IS GPU not ok? I've tried to change slot but is the fkkkking GPU
No problem only different quality memory and chip I would say... Do you have Hynix, right? I'have Elpida memory. So every GPU can give quite different hashrate ? Very sad

Help! Hey Guys... A bit of a noob here, so greatly appreciate any help. Setting up my 2nd and 3rd rig and decided to go with the RX580... Ended up with XFX RX580 8GB GTS Black Edition Info on card: http://xfxforce.com/en-us/products/amd-radeon-rx-500-series/rx-580-gts-8gb-dd-rx-580p8dbd6I was only getting 18-19 hash rate out of the box... I can't get it past 20! From what I've read the 580's should be in the high 20's at least. This was the best I could do... In ethOS I've updated the config... Core: I've maxed out (according to specs) at 1425. Memory: 2220 Is there anything else I should try?? Hoping to not have to return 10 GPUs... You're supposed to underclock the GPU and tweak the memory timings with BIOS edits. I picked up one of those XFX RX 580s as well, but it has two different types of memory. 4GB of type 1 Samsung and 4GB of type 2 Hynix (I posted a pic from the bios editor below). https://m.imgur.com/gallery/y74j1So far I haven't tried to use the same straps across both types of memory...I have tried copying the 1500 from type 1 (Samsung) to only type 1, and the 1500 of type 2 to only the 2 (Hynix). I reflashed the BIOS for 1625 as well, but it was still unstable. I did several attempts with the 1625 Straps where I underclocked the GPU in Wattman but it didn't seem to help. Does anyone think I should try to use the same timings "straps" for both the Samsung and Hynix? It seems really odd/tricky to me to have 2 different types of memory to overclock independently. As of now I have Samsung, Hynix and Elpida memory cards but never ever thought about using same straps for different memory straps. It is even easy to soft brick your card when you flash it with right straps but something goes south during the mod bios flashing. I would not try what you are thinking but would love to listen about the results if you do Yep. So basically you're saying I need to return my XFX RX580 because it's garbage for mining. Bummer. Thanks for the info. No, I don't believe it's hopeless - the 2000Mhz stock clocked Hynix (H5GQ8H24MJR) is pretty bad, that's no lie. But it is NOT totally useless; it will do 30MH/s or so. Wow. 30 MH/s would be incredible at this point. Can that be done as simply as any other card? Any guidance you could provide for a relative noob would be greatly appreciated... thanks!

Does anyone know what memory brand these two models have below? And how do you think they will perform in terms of default hashing rate, and the hashing rate and power usage when flashed? Thanks

I have 2 Strix. 1 goes 28 modded bios, the other 27 modded bios. Power usage 105W and 95W. The second card can't reach 1950 MHz.

My 2 strix have Elpida memory. Nice hardware and nice price (250€ but all out of stock here in Italy). I was a little bit disappointed with the second card, because it doesn't reach the other GPU computing power. However i've buyed another 2 nitro+ 570 4g, maybe they will be better

ETH both above 29MH/s.

So what model card is best for the power and hash rate? Sucks the RX 470 are practically impossible to find now.

15.5mhs with 1300/2100 clocks at 60w, basicly half a RX470 tweaked 570 = 27Mh/s @ 91w at the wall (64w on gpu-z). Could be >29Mh/s >100w but my elpida does not clock enough.

Anyone else can;t get Trixx, Afterburner, or even gpuz to show clocks with 5xx cards with modded vbios? And hopefully know a workaround.
None of them show the clocks, or anything else, and I can't change anything either. GpuZ shows the wattage used, but not much else. The drivers are cobbled together so 7 cards will run. Using Trixx on one machine I'm able to at least see the clocks by hitting the stealth button, make changes, and save................but none of the changes apply or when they loaded they can't be applied. Hitting "apply" doesn't do a dam thing.
Right now the only way to make/apply changes is putting them in the .bat that Claymore uses. It is rather annoying.

hello, i know what you are talking about Trixx does not load the settings for a group of cards all together you need to save them 1 by one in the same profile lets say profile 1. Then when you want to load the setup you go to settings select the card press profile 1 and load then aplly. Go back to settings select te next card, press the profile 1 again and load and aplly and do this for all the others. Trixx Save the definitions of each graphic card in the same profile but cannot load them simultaneous.

Also, every time I've tried to use Afterburner with a 7-GPU rig, the whole thing crashed after it applied OC's to the 7th card. There must be some limitation there.

When you know stable clocks you can set them in bios as default.

It is pretty fucking hard to find the best stable low wattage settings to hard code into the bios when you can't use something like Trixx or Afterburner to try different things
