Lets say I have 3x2 TB drives and leave my computer on most of the time; would BURST be at all profitable?

I have only 6 TB mining in this pool http://pool.burstcoining.com:8124/ and now is very profitable,  because low energy usage (max 2-3W per disk!) Think that Burst price will jump at long term! Smiley

We are working about creating a more user-friendly plotter-miner with a GUI(without using terminal!), if you try to mine in Ubuntu i can help you to set-up your miner. Respect about the filled space, the burstdev said that in the future that space can be used to create like a huge cloud storage, but hey, this coin is young, PoC  is totaly new, be patient!

If you have any more question, ask me via private messages, Burst deserves a try ! Wink

Hot annoucement directly from the PR Team:

Soon @vbcs will release the Crowdfunding AT Beta! There you can support or create a new crowdfunding for your future big project, helping a social cause like a charity for Ebola or "Save the Children", scientific investigations, or to get funds to record your music. All the funds will go to the owner of the CF if he gets the 100% of the funds by the closing date. Smiley

Lol if podemos get this coin, podemos will lost a lot of confidence... This coin was pure scam in early stages. And all know it. Do you want another scam? people dont learn... It would be more fair if they create a new coin.

something is going wrong, i tryed to change my reward recipient and it didnt work, i have "/" confirmations, im under 1.2.0 wallet.

My friend join to my wallet ( he know my password ) he try to change the reward recipient of my wallet and for him didnt work too, he is under 1.2.0, so there must be something wrong for sure.

At the blockchain nothing appear and the reward recipient seems to work as always, no errors, all seems ok.... but confirmations = "/"

Im able to send/received burst coins, but im unable to change the reward recipient, anybody is having the same issue?

edited: all of those issues happend after i try to set the reward recipient to uray pool, after that, im unable to change the reward recipient, ofc the uray pool recipient was never accepted, still with "/" confirmations in payments.

Requires 4 blocks to confirm the reward recipient and you cant cancel the process, as far i know. How much time did you wait?

PD: bad day for mining Sad

.......

First i would start on windows, so blago's or uray's miner, alright! Smiley

btw:
Does it matter how fast my hdd is? Or just bigger is better?
What about SSD?  Grin Cheesy (just curious, don't want to use it)

Greets

Some people reports that Blago miner is better than Uray, and you can use your SSD to plot more fast on it, and then move the plot to the desired HDD.

Saludos!  Smiley

Im just starting out on this coin and got the newest wallet, Im running win 8 and it says i dont have java installed but i do. Ive tried starting it with the java executable and the run bat
If you don't have java in your system path, the bat file is still aimed at java 7. If you have java 8 installed open the bat file in notepad and change jre7 to jre8.

yeah just figured that out Smiley

the windows 8 installed it as jre1.8.0_25 so changed batfile and its up and running. Thanks tho!

Is there a way we could make this more user friendly? Would be nice if new users didn't have to edit .bat files.
I'm not familiarized with .bat scripting but i will try to edit the .bat file to detect from java 7 to up.

PD: Does anyone have optimized a plot with MDCCT in Linux? I optimize it from 8192 to 819200 stagger and now the miner shows me having 1114112 nonces instead of 827932 nonces in that plot. ¿That's good? Im using Uray miner! Solved, thanks DCCT!

In the http://burstcoin.info/download/index.html page there is a old wallet for Download, it's 1.1.5 version when now it's 1.2.0 ! Can the web developer change it? Smiley

Hi all! I wrote a "Information and documentation about Burst" post in the Spanish Altcoin section,  and already finished too the "Burst documentation for GNU/Linux, in Spanish" it's about installation of the wallet, plotting, mining in pool, solo-mining, and some useful tips.

Link to the post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=906821.msg9964382#msg9964382
Link to the documentation, in Spanish: https://docs.google.com/document/d/13SBaYu2HTH2SJg09wM-c8lqOmUqW9wxam3DbHYwE01w

I will try to translate the guide to English too,  but it will take a long time because i'm not native!
