41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / question about reusing public keys in a 2 of 3 transaction on: January 31, 2014, 09:27:01 PM
ive been playing with 2 of 3 transactions recently.

i notice that if all 3 participants reuse their pub keys the escrow address always remains the same.

if 2 participants reuse their pubkey and just one changes it the escrow address changes.

Is there any disadvantage when 2 participants reuse a pubkey?

does this make the escrow address less secure?

does it make the escrow address less anonymous? for example could somebody who knew the two pub keys but not the third be able to figure out the escrow address?
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google search of "cryptocurrency". The results UPSET me. on: January 31, 2014, 03:20:23 PM
What a surprise. No dogecoin at all (and yes, I am dutch. Big whoop). The results are quite good actually. But yeah, it's just Google saving your shit and showing you the things of which they think you are interested in.

Haha, I searched on google.nl and guess what? It wasn't there.

Search on google.com and check again. Try this link if it redirects you

https://encrypted.google.com/#q=cryptocurrency

In my case it is most definitely not Google saving my results unless Google wrote malware to my BIOS in order to track me.

No. It's Satoshi, that was probably a typo by the journalist.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian Bitcoin Users Can Face Jail Time up to 15 years on: January 31, 2014, 01:36:24 PM
Even if this was the case I don't see how they would enforce such a law. Executing drug-style raids on houses of people suspected of running Bitcoin clients, pulling up the floor looking for hidden micro sd cards or paper wallets, interrogating people for brainwallets... Not going to work.

The address that your wallet software picks to send the funds from.
