41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Friends & Family adoption - Share your experience. on: September 12, 2019, 07:17:43 PM
I quite remember, I introduced bitcoin to a  friend who had absolutely no idea about what bitcoin is. After explaining a brief overview on bitcoin, he was finally convinced  to buy some bitcoin and keep. For him, he was too anxious to see a a huge profit on his holding within a short period of time. Unfortunately for him, he ended up disappointed at the end of the day as the price of bitcoin kept dropping after buying his bitcoin.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investors failed the community during early ICO era on: September 11, 2019, 11:52:28 PM
The developers or the team cannot be left out of the blame since they did little to protect their community or users. In the early days of ICOs, many investors profited from the bullish period without thinking about how to sustain the project that gave them that huge profit. I guess it is never too late to fix the seemingly damage that has already been created.
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is successful? - this one statement sums it up! on: September 11, 2019, 11:23:36 PM
It is simple, the anonymity behind bitcoin is what keeps it going. That is the candid explanation of what bitcoin is all about. There are also no known founding  members who may want take advantage of people and be organizing press conferences after falling apart from the rest of the team.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am very Pro Dogecoin – Says Ethereum Co-founder, Vitalik Buterin on: September 11, 2019, 10:14:36 PM
Dogecoin is simply an amazing coin that seem not to die despite the many disappointing statistics it has shown over the years. It is no surprising that it is really popular on many exchanges. The supply is also high, it is never too late for anyone to grab some doge and hold for better days.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEST DIVIDEND CRYPTO's to invest in... on: September 11, 2019, 09:42:40 PM
There many coins on the market such as veil that runs on masternode to give dividends to holders. It is important to understand that any project that promises to pay huge dividends or holdings is likely to be a scam. For example those who promise as high as 10% every month, such projects are not sustainable and likely to collapse sooner or later.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Solotoshi is Satoshi on: September 11, 2019, 09:14:54 PM
Is very intriguing as to how many people are still worried about who the real Satoshi is. It's time to move from the many fallacies that people are spreading on whether the real Satoshi is alive or dead. From the look of things, it is not really necessary to worry about the identity of Satoshi.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should we boycott the Facebook Coin (Project Libra)? on: September 11, 2019, 12:02:10 AM
Libra already has a large support as Facebook can easily lure the large community of users on the platform to make use of this new cryptocurrency. Users on  Facebook would be the primary target as users of Libra, I presume.
48  Economy / Economics / Re: Average savings across the globe on: September 10, 2019, 11:11:49 PM
Some people don't save although they live a simple life. Many people in the world find it very difficult to eat more than once a day due to poverty. Imagine if you are to be in such situation how can you use save for the future. Eventually, the few money you would gain would be used to cover basic needs your family needs.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shower thought. Bitcoin ETF bad? on: September 10, 2019, 10:58:36 PM
The ETF agreement is just one of those initiatives that can easily help maintain the price of bitcoin at an appreciable level. Imagine a company guaranteeing your property without causing any financial commitment from your end. Basically, that is the idea behind ETF, I don't think this means a third party would be given the power  to control bitcoin on the market.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Antiviruses on: September 05, 2019, 10:07:33 PM
There are many antivirus softwares on the market that comes with malware after installation. When it comes to antivirus protection for windows, am never a fan of any brand on the market. I use windows and I trust the windows defender that comes with it, that is the perfect match to fight any form  of attack.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banking system and BTC on: September 05, 2019, 08:52:11 PM
When it comes to inflation in financial terms, it has a broader meaning thus mentioning it  in the OP was confusing. The reason why majority of  stakeholders in the traditional banking sector are not in support of bitcoin is mainly because the banking sector wants to enjoy the continuous manipulation of the financial sector.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No matter what i'm sticking with Altcoins on: September 05, 2019, 08:32:09 PM
Bitcoin seems to be the dominant force on the market but the altcoins are always a key point through which many people venture into cryptocurrencies. It is not easy to give up on the altcoins since some of them really have great potentials even in this times of bearish market.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Old Bounties VS New Bounties on: September 05, 2019, 06:23:12 PM
There  have been many scams in the past hence it  should not be assumed that scams are associated with only new projects. Even in the past, some bounties programs paid more but the coin ended up being delisted on many exchanges. The OP made alot of sense but not in its entirety on his/her opinion on both old and new bounties.
54  Other / Off-topic / Re: Danger!! on: September 04, 2019, 11:19:35 PM
First of all, it does not make economic sense to put all your funds in one particular business or enterprise. Life itself is full of amazing adventure that comes with risks. Am always of the opinion that taking a calculated risk is the best way to achieve some success in life.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons to chose nano ledger hardware wallet on: September 03, 2019, 11:19:24 PM
Cryptocurrency hardware wallets are always cool especially when it comes to the security of funds and the protection of private keys of holders from hackers or any form of malicious attacks.  The huge advantages associated with ledger Nano are obvious but it is unfortunate many people can't afford it since it is too expensive.
56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Burn Satoshis coins to end the threat of prices crashing - Paxful Founder on: September 03, 2019, 09:42:07 PM
This is a bad call and I think the basis on which the statement is made  is too poor for it to be understood. I think bitcoin and Satoshi would  always go together, I don't see the need for stakeholders to do away with the Satoshi unit. We still need Satoshi in the crypto space.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use crypto? on: September 03, 2019, 08:19:22 PM
Am into crypto to be part of a modern revolution to make money. Crypto is one of the modern avenues to make investment and get some returns on the investment made. Most people venture into crypto to make the best profit. Passive income is always good and that simply explains why many people including myself are into crypto.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Becoming Financially Free With Bitcoin on: September 03, 2019, 06:37:20 PM
A well-planned long term investment is  good especially when it is done with a realistic asset or currency like bitcoin. The mission of almost every crypto enthusiast or investor is to make profit as quick as he/she can. Sadly, we sometimes miss the greater benefit due to the high concentration on short term investment with bitcoin.
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin scammer caught tortured and killed. on: September 02, 2019, 10:32:24 PM
The punishment given to the scammer is too harsh although it may go a long way to deter others who want to scam others in the near future. This is murder, no matter the crime a person commits, he/she needs to be given a fair hearing at a competent court of law.
60  Economy / Economics / Re: Taxless society idea on: September 01, 2019, 11:22:03 PM
This proposal is too complex for the ordinary person to have patience for. Tax is very important and taxation has been with humans since ancient days. Revenues obtained are used to undertake many developmental projects in the society. I stand to be corrected though but I don't know if there is any country in the world where taxation is not in place.
