For Nvidia GPUs you have to use CCminer. I will add it to our download section.
In the mean time you can download it here http://cryptomining-blog.com/wp-content/download/ccminer-1.5.52-git-spmod.zip and see if it works.

What errors are you getting and which sgmimer version are you using?
You can download sgminer 5.1.1 from qubitcoin.cc and follow instructions on pool.qubitcoinxplorer.cc - getting started page.

There is an idea for 2018 on which we are currently working.

Put Qubitcoin.conf in this folder C:\Users\yourUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Qubitcoin
Qubitcoin.conf should look something like this:

rpcuser=123
rpcpassword=1234567890qwertyuiop
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
server=1
set gen=1
addnode=85.93.13.52
addnode=5.189.180.244
addnode=144.76.174.21
addnode=173.212.230.3
addnode=188.2.23.244

User and password can be anything.

We will work on seed nodes so things like this don't happen in the future...

Just add this to your Qubitcoin.conf and restart wallet :

addnode=85.93.13.52
addnode=5.189.180.244
addnode=144.76.174.21
addnode=173.212.230.3
addnode=188.2.23.244

If after that (wait for few minutes first) wallet doesn't start sycnhing, something is wrong on your side.

faucet.qubitcoin.cc

I just need to sort out captcha and it should be fully operational.

Here is the faucet address:

You can send coins there.
Thanks

Could you keep it for few more days? We will be putting faucet back to work so you can donate there.

No hybrid for now.

I managed to make the uNOMP pool running but still needs to be set up properly.
You can find it on address http://173.212.230.3:8080
It works with SGminer. To mine on the pool you can use port 3001 (there are two other port but this one will have var diff)
User name is you wallet address were you want to receive payouts and password can be anything (not important).
So 172.213.230.3:3032 user:(your wallet address) pass:(anything)

I will try to set it up correctly once I return home on Thursday...

I am trying with UNOMP. Tried on Ubuntu 17.10 but it needs tweaking to properly install it.
I will try on on 14.04 as apparently there are no problems during installation.

In which way did you offer PoS? We already know that it would be the best option to have PoW/PoS hybrid but so far no one is willing to commit to develop this for Q2C.
Retargeting difficulty every block will not make any improvement during really big hash rate oscillations because required work (difficulty) for next block is based on previous difficulty for x number of previous blocks. We need more stable network and everything will be fine.
Regarding performance I really don't know. My wallet is taking about 870MB of RAM.
The value of Qubitcoin didn't change much as Bitcoin value was going up. I think coin swap would give us more problems then benefit.

I will try to arrange another pool since you are taking yours down.

What would be the purpose of going for 100:1 coin swap? It would still have the same value at the end and probably a lots of problems in between.
Your suggestions are just cosmetics and will not change the value of the coin.

Wallet on Cryptopia is back to normal operation.

What kind of update would you like to see?
No one wants to work on developing PoW/PoS combination for now.
If we change diff algo as you or someone else suggested it still won't be able to help against really big changes (100 times bigger/smaller) in hashrate.
Coin is working fine. It needs to be promoted more so I will see what I can do about it.

I sent a message to Cryptopia about the wallet...

It is up to you how you are going to use your sources. I just don't get how you concluded that this coin is dead?!

Please stop trolling. Update is coming...
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Q2C] QubitCoin secure hashing (NEW) Update 0.11.2.2 on: September 25, 2017, 07:45:38 AM
I received (partially done) update from one developer but I don't want to use this as the communication with him was really poor. He updated only the wallet. The rest of the the files were not updated.
As you already seen, block reward was already set to be 1 Q2C so that part was OK. What was changed is the difficulty algorithm.

I am currently looking someone to properly do the update and if all goes OK continue working on PoS/PoW hybrid.

Any developers interested? Or maybe someone knows who would be willing to work on this?
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Q2C] QubitCoin secure hashing (NEW) Update 0.11.2.2 on: September 13, 2017, 09:47:26 AM

Yeah zex24, thanks for help but I know that on first page are collected all links related to Q2C. But I'm still considering what is wrong with CoinMarketCap.
The link is still not changed, maybe someone from devs or marketing should draw attention to that problem. From my point of view It's a little disappointed. Hope you fix it soon, because we don't need more dejected visitors.
By the way, official website is sensational!

I made a request on Coinmarketcap to delete non existing explorer link and change the link for website.

It is staying at 1 Q2C per block. Compared to planned 248 million this is nothing Smiley
I have to say again that a big part of those 248 million is probably forever lost/deleted because at one point people thought that the coin died.

Both PoW and PoS have their pros and cons.
The best would be to make a hybrid but so far I din't find dev who is willing to convert to PoW/PoS hybrid. This would be a plan for future.
