41  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: GAMDOM sportsbook scam practice on: June 08, 2023, 01:49:07 PM
Do you consider it a scam? I tried to check PM/Chat logs, and it seems you did not provide any chat logs. Did you try to contact their live support or email support, asking them why they limited your max bet to $1? Some casinos ask For KYC verification to increase the bet limit. It would be best if you tried to contact them and ask what the reason for this limitation is. If they ask you to verify your KYC, You may want to verify since you are a player of their casino. They might have a good reason to limit your max bet. Did they restrict your max bet on sportsbooks only? Or did they limit the bet limit for in-house games and other 3rd party games, too?

If they limited your max bet to the sportsbook only, You can still play other games and roll over your deposit if you don't want to play on their casino anymore. Before going through all of this, You should contact their support to ask why this limitation is. You are accusing them of scam. I don't think it's a scam. This is just a miss communication between the player and the casino. However, when a casino limits a player's max bet, they should notify the player why they limited a player's max bet.

If Binance really holds 0.5M BTC this will always be a risk, of course. But did they do a prove of reserve?  I wouldn't be surprised if they lied to everyone. But even then, FTX had almost no Bitcoin at all and the Bitcoin marked still crashed.

They do. But I am not sure how I can verify it. You can check it from here https://www.binance.com/en/proof-of-reserves
Instead of checking their own claimed proof of reserve, I collected their Bitcoin Wallet data. Check the data below

43  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: maverickgames.com casino is a scam on: June 08, 2023, 01:14:08 PM
I thought you were kamen1 alt account who created another scam accusation against Maverickgames two days ago. Your and his user name looks similar as well. As you said, you created your account about seven months ago, and your KYC was verified. You were playing on their website, winning several thousand dollars. Did they pay you smoothly in that seven months? Did you withdraw your winnings during the seven months time range? Or, you did not withdraw your winnings in these seven months and have now tried to withdraw them all at once?

As I can see, you have posted the complaint on their ANN thread, and they choose to ignore you. Did you try to PM their representative account? Their account is online right now (The moment I am posting this). You can ask them Via PM to check this thread and post publicly. If they still choose not to reply to you. You can file a complaint against them on askgamblers.com or their license provider Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission. If they can prove their claim, then you have nothing to do. Do not gamble when you are traveling.
44  Other / Meta / Re: 2023 Ban appeal status on: June 08, 2023, 03:02:00 AM
I again fail to understand the purpose of this. The ban participants, if they see this thread, may get some hope that maybe someone will review their case again, but in most cases, the right decision was already made by the forum mods.
Why it's too hard to understand the purpose? I find it useful. He just combined the data and added the ban appeal thread link here in case moderators want to take a look. Indeed, the right decision was already made. But, Don't forget that if a ban appeal were created and they got some support from the community, moderators might unban them. This thread could help both Banned users and moderators as well. I didn't know that many ban appeals were made. Let's say someone was banned and created a ban appeal thread. Some prominent members know them and see the user as a good asset. They might want to help them by supporting their ban appeal.

From this thread, more people will be able to review their ban appeal and leaves their opinion about the ban. If a banned user gets a good number of support from the community and moderators feel they deserve a chance, they might unban them. Global mods are not always active. they might miss some of the ban appeals. This thread's data could be useful for them as well. They can check the ban appeals from here as well.
45  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: June 08, 2023, 02:23:32 AM
In my perspective, the answer hinges on the definition of 'risk.' In monetary terms, if no money is staked, it might seem there is no risk. However, let's consider the aspect of 'time.' Even in free games or rounds, one invests time, which is arguably our most precious resource. From this standpoint, it can indeed be construed as a form of gambling.
If you count time as an investment, you may say it's gambling. But I have a different point of view. It could differ from person to person. Time is indeed the most precious resource. But not for everyone. There are a lot of people trying to spend their time having fun. Sometimes we spend money to have fun as we gamble and risk our money. I don't see this as gambling when having fun without risking anything. Instead, I consider it as entertainment without investment.

Quote
Concerning free bets, they could be seen as a kind of conditional wagering, where you're potentially risking the opportunity cost. The absence of a direct financial commitment doesn't necessarily exempt it from being classified as gambling. This is indeed a complex issue and depends on how we frame 'risk' and 'wager.'
Well, I understand your point. I agree with the part you said it depends on how we frame 'risk' and 'wager.' Free bets can be called gambling since there is a risk of opportunity cost. But, It still depends on how you see this. I don't care too much about free bets. I would be happy if I could win something from the free bet. But there is nothing to lose if you lose. I don't have to invest to place a bet. All I have to do is get a free chance. I spend my spare time on the internet chatting and watching video content. There is no problem guessing which team will win and where i am risking nothing.
46  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 07, 2023, 04:01:31 PM
You should not be surprised. The Bitcoin users (Us) should remain anonymous. But, we are the people who give the chance to Binance for doing shit. People Compromise their Privacy to them just to use their service while they are not a real P2P Platform. They have become a giant and can control the Bitcoin market if they want. If the 1K Bitcoin Movement can affect the market and it goes down by more than 10%, How much Market will it go down if Binance sells its Half Million Bitcoin? Not your keys, not your coins. Binance users won't be able to do shit if they become bankrupt. Binance becomes a Giant, and they can control the market if they want.

Look at the comparison of Bitcoin Volume of the last 24 Hours.

99% Trading volumes on the Centralized market. We are the people who gave them this power. You cannot deny that Binance news even matters!

many pushed Binance to where they are today

but not everyone uses Binance.

with all their shitcoin p&d schemes they were shady from the get-go
I Just Noticed you changed your post. It was like you and some others maybe.. not everyone uses Binance
If you think it's me and some others, who can trade 22% of the Total Trading volume on Binance, then it's me and some others.
These are ridiculous stats. Bitcoin 24 Hours trading volume on CEX was $24,274,100,680. While only Binance users traded $5,299,047,621. 22% Of total trading volume. However, I did not count tons of small trading pairs.

Binance Still holds half a million Bitcoin. If something happens with Binance like FTX, be ready for a massive crash.
Eventually, BTC will recover. But people who lose their funds are unlikely to recover their losses.

Data Collected from;
https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges/binance
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/

All we can do is ask people not to rely on centralized exchanges.
People will still do it and ignore every warning you give them.

Honestly, I think that someone that naïve can't be protected. Even if every inch of the page had been full of warnings, he still might've fallen for it,

Two Months ago, I wrote an post about centralized exchanges TOS.
You may find it interesting; Do you know what is hiding behind Centralized exchanges User Agreement?
47  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lending board liar - Timelord2067 on: June 07, 2023, 07:13:36 AM
No, you can't say i'm the same as him. NO.
You are doing exactly the same thing that Timelord did (Incorrect use of Feedback System)

Quote
I don't accuse anyone. I don't say timelord is a scammer.
Then what is the negative tag for?

Quote
He left me 3 - i repeat 3 - warning on my trust. Each one only based on his convinctions, whitount any evidence . From my side timelord acted with the intention of ruining my reputation and the fact that he deleted all the messages that disavowed him confirms my thesis.
In this case, You can leave him neutral feedback describing what he did.

Quote
My negative trust is more than justified: Timelord's actions could have compromised all my sacrifices.
It is right to leave a negative trust to a person who takes an action that harms you. And timelord acted with intent to harm me.
You don't have to do what he did. He used the trust feedback incorrectly. Do you agree? If so, You are doing the same. This is called Retaliation feedback. If a dog bites you, you cannot bite back.

Quote
**Of course my trust will change if timelord withdraws or changes the trusts he left me
You don't have to do anything based on what he did to you. It's Retaliation feedback. You can distrust him and ignore him. I would love to quote LoyceV in case you missed his response. Add someone to your trust list if you see they are using the Feedback system correctly and have a good trust list. Distrust someone when you see they are using the feedback system incorrectly. You don't have to tag someone just because they using the system incorrectly. It's not rocket science that you don't understand.

@OP: Please read Trust flags, and after that, consider withdrawing your Flag.

As for your feedback:
Quote
Liar and fascist. He Launches false and irrational accusations, and deletes the messages that deny him.
You seem angry, which I get. But don't let it cloud your judgement. Please read my guide to correct use of the Trust system. Retaliation feedback makes you look bad, while you had a pretty strong case. I tend to take feedback without name calling more seriously.
48  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: June 07, 2023, 05:20:56 AM
Suppose you are not risking anything. I don't think it can be considered as gambling. Gambling is where you bet, and you risk something. No matter what is the odd. Even if it's 1.01, still it's a gambling. But, When you do not risk anything. It's not gambling, in my opinion. Others might have a different view. I would like to hear why they consider it gambling, as you are not risking anything. I think It's more like a contest where you can participate for free, and there is a prize poll if you win. But, you are not losing anything if your prediction is wrong.

There might be some exceptions as well. Often we win free bets from games and round. In this case, we are not risking anything yet we can win if our team wins. What it should be consider as? Is it gambling? I saw yahoo62278 also said "If you are not wagering any money or reputation, then you are not gambling". I would love to hear from him what is he think about it. Do you consider a free bet as wagering money?
49  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Maverickgames takes money away. on: June 07, 2023, 04:41:41 AM
This is a frustrating situation. Winning $4000 from $300 doesn't happen every day. That's frustrating when you win it, and the casino doesn't want to pay your winnings. This is the most common practice for shady casinos. If you lose that amount on their casino, they wouldn't ask you for a kYC. However, I won't blame them for asking for KYC. But, I am curious what makes them wait for 20 days and then say they could not verify your identity. Did they explain what the reason was? What was the mismatch? Did you use a VPN while you used their website?

Moreover, why did you choose a casino with no name in the casino industry? I don't think I have ever seen their name before today. The first deposit or new bonuses attract players to join new casinos. But you could lose your deposits there if you choose the wrong platform. There are a bunch of reputable casinos in the forum. You can select one of them to play. If you don't violate any rules, they will pay your winnings.
50  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lending board liar - Timelord2067 on: June 07, 2023, 04:10:02 AM
OP, Do you think he didn't get that he was wrong? Of course, he knows that. But sometimes, our ego becomes more significant than that. We don't want to accept our mistakes and hesitate to apologize. I don't know how strong his evidence is. I read his posts where he showed that you used the same wallet address. Can you guys explain how you both used the same wallet? Or did you explain there? I am sorry I did not check other responses. Of course, his feedback's are incorrect use of the Trust system. As others already said, He is not in the DT network, So his feedback won't show as trusted feedback on your profile.

But, What do you guys do? Some prominent members asked you to remove the feedback you left, not because your words seemed angry. They asked because of its color. You just deleted and re-wrote your old feedback, and it's still negative. You misused the trust system, the same as him. So, What is the difference between you and him?

Timelord2067    2023-06-06    Reference    This user left me unjust negative feedback without any reasons - Trust abuser

I encourage you to delete the feedback and make it neutral. Use negative feedback only if someone scams you or is likely to scam you (If you have proof). I believe he knows that he is wrong. That's why he deleted the responses in his self-moderate thread and locked it.
51  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Atomic Wallet hacker sends crypto to mixer used by Lazarus Group: Elliptic on: June 07, 2023, 03:45:55 AM
OP, no offense, but you should stop reading third-rate news portals that produce clickbait headlines, and their whole story boils down to mere speculation involving some kind of blockchain-spying company. Does it even matter through which mixer those funds went through (if they did at all), and who says they didn't use some other mixer as well?
Oh wow. Do you consider Cointelegraph as a third-rate news portal? I used to read Coindesk, Cointelegraph and BitcoinMagazine for crypto news. It doesn't really matter what mixer is used by those hackers! But it matters for the Mixer platform. Believe it or not, The Governs rely on those reports and start an investigation. If the allegation is true that Sinbad is Blender.io, If the U.S. Treasury Department were able to seize Blender.io, wouldn't they will be able to seize Sinbad too? Nobody knows if those hackers used other mixers as well. But, You cannot blame a news portal for not knowing that. They just reported what they know so far.

Quote
The OP (as well as some others) obviously think that topics like this are appropriate for the Reputation board, although it would be more appropriate to post them elsewhere.
Maybe service discussion? Because both Mixer and Atomic Wallet are services. Maybe this could fit better in the Service discussion section. Or, you may want to suggest where it fits best!

Meh, I guess once again it proves criminals are lazy even in the amount of millions it's just time and effort to make it anonymous instead of going through a centralized mixer or exchange.
Huh? I thought only exchanges could be centralized. How the heck can a mixer be centralized?

I'm surprised the Binance news even matters. If they go down it would be a good thing for BTC, I'm positive they manipulate the shit out of the price by selling fake coins, just like FTX was doing. Good to cut these turds loose but I don't think we'll be lucky enough to have Binance vanish into the wind.
You should not be surprised. The Bitcoin users (Us) should remain anonymous. But, we are the people who give the chance to Binance for doing shit. they clicked on "buy bitcoin" and ordered "bitcoin" and paid for "bitcoin" hoping to receive "bitcoin" but instead they received a garbage called bcash. If that is not called a scam, I don't know what is!
Yet some people still love to vouch for him just because he was one of the early adopters. I don't know if he is a kind of developer/programmer or whatever. How did he help Bitcoin? Of course, he helped build a business with Bitcoin which Bitcoiners appreciate. When some of us call him a scammer, people argue.  Roll Eyes Instead, they call him a pure businessman who adopted Bitcoin for his benefit and is still vouching for a centralized Token with no supply limit and no proof of work!

Laszlo is famous for his 10K Bitcoin pizzas. How many of us know that this guy wrote the code for GPU Mining? How many of us know that He was the first Bitcoin developer to release the Bitcoin code for Mac OS? I thought Ver also contributed to the Bitcoin development and network somehow. But I found nothing on the Internet.

Just look at how he touts freedom of speech, yet his own website moderates comments, and will delete comments as they see fit ( comments that don't fit their agenda, of course).
Did you check his forum in recent days? There have been no posts made in the last six months. Online Stats shows 993 Online users, and 991 of them are guests  Cheesy. Only two registered users are online, and both of them are bots.
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 years of a Legendary post on: June 06, 2023, 02:12:03 AM
1- There's a quoted post of the OP which I'm quoting below. In that quote, we can see the OP had a username "Atlas". It's possible that the user asked admin to make the post author anonymous. Only admin has the access to do this. Or, maybe the man posted the quoted message has purposedly added the username on the quote.
Yes. I guess, This is the thing that happened here. He requested the admin to delete his account, and they did it. Not only that quote, but Several people also quote him, and everyone's quote shows his username as Atlas. So, the man who quoted his message did not add the username purposely. I tried a BPIP search , and the first user, Atlas, registered on 9/10/2012. But the thread is older than that. So, this is not the same user.

I can still quote him when he said he was just a teenager and he had 95 BTC at that time.
I'm only a teenager. I could only scrounge up so much despite my 1000+ BTC loss. I have 95 BTC incubated so far.
I wish he were able to keep that Bitcoin, as he believed that BTC would hit $10K in the future. We could be one of the early adopters! I always scratch my head and think about what I was doing back then. I was a teenager as well. But, All my interest was in Video games and fighting with my friends.

Look at the topic title. He seemed too confident about it, which has happened after a couple of years. Bitcoin was in its early days, and it was a revolutionary invention. As the first cryptocurrency, it has the potential to grow (still have), and they knew that people would like it and adopt it. I remember when I heard of Bitcoin. I did not know how the market went up and down. But they clearly knew how it worked and how the price would increase with scarcity.

58  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: A Non-Custodial wallet, Atomic Wallet, being compromised on: June 05, 2023, 09:20:28 AM
If the computer is compromised then malware with sufficient elevated rights can compromise the software wallet. If the software wallet itself is badly crafted, which you can't check with closed-source software, then you're screwed anyway.

Other wallets might also get compromised if the computer is compromised. Even if someone has access to your wallet, I don't think they can access it unless they can crack your password or have private keys. Since it's only happened with Atomic users (we did not see the same reports from other wallet users yet), I guess OmegaStarScream might be correct. They might be fallen for phishing. But according to Atomic Wallet, 1% of their monthly active users reported that their wallet is drained. So, If their active user is 100K, 1K users' wallets were compromised. I don't think that many users could fall for the phishing trap.

Atomic might be hiding something about how are the private keys generated and them being non-custodial. I was using Atomic Wallet 2.45.1 For a while. Luckily I had nothing in my Atomic wallet, and I just uninstalled their software in case it contained any virus. Many users screamed in their tweets and complained about how much they lost. I am afraid now. I moved from Atomic to Electrum a while ago. I hope Electrum is the most secured and trusted among others!
59  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: topman21 scam my 40$ help me on: June 05, 2023, 07:41:09 AM
I think you did not understand what I said. Let me try it again.

Check my profile, you will find a BTC address which is bc1ql847ly3a0kaw6zhscc686a3lv7ve98qgay8422

Consider, somehow you [notscam420] have great anger against me and you want to do something it to downplay my forum reputation. OP [Xavi20] is a good friend of yours or may be OP is you [notscam420=Xavi20]. Both of you made a plan:

Create a fake conversation where Xavi20 will ask a btc address, notscam420 [pretending a forum member who have accounts or anything that is good to frame me] send Xavi20 my BTC address which is easy to find. Xavi20 sends the money.

Very simple and seems effective too in short term.

While you guys or you yourself is doing everything to ensure I am trapped, I have no idea what is going on.

Now the next phase of the plan.
Xavi20 creates a very similar topic and accuse me I am a scammer.

My question.
Do you think I am really a scammer?

Give short answer as yes or no.
I believe this is the thing that happened here. I will apologize if they can prove me wrong and later discover that LDL really tried to scam them. I am not sure if any of you guys paid attention to my previous post. I will repeat it again what I said in my previous post.

Topman was not in the forum for the last two months; how did you get his telegram account? Let's say you got his telegram from his bounty post. @OP, How did you know he is selling a full member account? Don't tell fairy tales!
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Moreover, You said $40 is big money for you. When Yahoo suggested, you give your Bitcoin Wallet and get the money from LDL. You denied it and said you don't want the money back until this is solved. What was the issue here? The issue was someone scammed you for $40. Now it is found that $40 is in LDL's wallet. If you were a real victim, you should be more than happy that you are getting back your Big Money! If you get the money back, the issues should have been resolved. But, it seems this wasn't the primary purpose. Or was it?

Answer me one Question only. How did you know Topman is going to sell an Full member account while he was not in the forum for last two months?

Nah, that was edited by _BlackStar. He added that icon manually and took a screenshot to post it here.

@OgNasty, Congratulations, Man. Spending a decade on an online forum is incredible. I don't know if you ever exposed your real name or identity. I assume you are still an anonymous guy in this forum. Being anonymous and being online for a decade is not an easy job. I am glad to see that you are still interested in this forum. As I said in another thread, people might lose interest after some time. There are a lot of legendary accounts that have been inactive for a while now. We don't know if they will ever be back or not. Maybe they lose interest in the forum.

You are one of the assets of this forum. Holding 500 BTC for a long time while it has touched its ATH proves how trusted you are. In 2017, BTC was $19K, while 500 BTC was 9.5 Million Dollars. That was a considerable amount. I respect you for your honesty OgNasty.

Ognasty, congrats! Wink

I guess you are joking! No? Does it show the birthday cake?

Edit: Oh, It does. I changed my birthday date to check it and look at my profile.
