I've completely handed over the fund wallet, the bitcointalk login info, twitter login info, facebook admin rights, and I'm digging around for anything else I can help out with.

Also, I'm still paying for the new wallet 2.0 and I will give that to the community just as a gift and show of love for all your time and patience.

The developer stopped responding to me and I am at a loss. Since I am not a developer and cannot fund one, I am willing to donate 100% of my personal holdings to a new team / developer for the coin. That's 2 million EMC2 to whichever group is capable it doing something with the coin. Anything I can do to help, I will be around to give the information necessary.

Otherwise, I know a dev who will take 1 million emc2 to create a new webkit wallet for the coin which would then work alongside a new website which hosted crowd funded projects.

Honestly, I've invested a lot of time and money into the coin and have reached a point of depression when it comes to trying to fix the sinking ship. If I had time to work on the coin exclusively, I could piece together a solid team and bust my ass around the clock. I'm just not in the financial position to keep spending money on something without getting results.

I can step aside, resign, hand over a few million coins. Or I can get the webkit wallet out and start deving the new site. Either way, I'd love to see a new community effort and people stepping forward to make things happen for Einsteinium.

The last few attempts to bring back the coin have hurt my pockets and my reputation, as well as the coins value. Because of my failure, I leave my role and fate in EMC2 with you guys. You are the deepest supporters. Let me help do whatever I can to make this all work out.

Armis, djnocide, and Oldminer collectively represent the new leadership of the EMC2 community, on behalf of the community we accept Ryan Wright's resignation from duty effective immediately; relief of his fiduciary responsibilities will become effective upon the proper transfer of all trust funds, trust keys, social media codes, EMC2 management records, and all other info relevant to the maintenance, management, and/or control of matters pertaining to EMC2.   To begin that process kindly post in this forum the public key(s) for the wallet(s) in possession of EMC2 trust funds.

The community will be kept abreast of transition development a daily basis.

Armis, I will gather the details and get you the private keys to the fund wallets. We will do this via PM to protect the coins. It's recommended to use a seperate rig to pull the fund money into as the process can be quite laggy.

There's a few things happening and I want to be 100% clear before I fill you guys in on the next steps. I'm not trying to be mysterious, but this is a fragile time for the coin and things need to be done right. I'm really trying to do something for this project, it's been a battle.

Here you go: http://cryptoasian.com/proof-of-developer-faq/

Proof of Developer is a service to check the legitimacy of Dev. That's how I understand it  Smiley

I have talked with Crypto Asian and he and I have agreed on an plan to verify me without giving my personal info out to the trolls and what not. there are ways to do this and he agreed to keep any private info private. I will do the pod as a service to LibrexCoin and its supporters and investors.

Awesome! I'm buying back in.. thanks dev!

CLEARING THE FUD

That was the most epic display of FUD I have ever seen. Let me clear this up for people who are panicking and asking questions still:

#1. Libertycoins.co - Yes, one of the devs (social media) seems to have old associations with the LibertyCoin community takeover. He used his webhosting to test the new Librex site. Keep in mind that the URL IS NOT the official LibertyCoin page. It looks like the good devs from Libertycoin left to help create Librexcoin. Very noble if you ask me.

#2. Twitter - Yes, the dev accidentally wrote "LibertyCoin" instead of "LibrexCoin" when updating their twitter feed. Once again, this is because their social media dev previously worked on LibertyCoin and is probably used to typing "LibertyCoin" 50x a day. "Librex" and "Liberty" are very similar, it was a mistake. Ever been thinking one thing and type out something different? This was human error and bad timing, that's all.

#3. Shadowcoin post - The replied to the FUD first in the Shadowcoin before his own thread. Why? Because he is tired and trying to clear the FUD. He thought he was on his own page when posting on btcTalk. Upon realizing he was on the wrong page, he posted the update on his own thread which was his original intention.

This guys are really great devs and have been hard at work on their planned new features + promotion. They are overworked and made a few typos and mistakes, this is no reason to bail from the coin! If anything it shows these devs are legit and ready to do something meaningful.

Also, if it was a scam.. why support the coin? why continue to dev? why release the first mobile PoS wallet? That's because there is no scam here, just an extreme case of FUD and panic. This coin should be 10k+ and will be as soon as people regain confidence in the dev.

My phone says "LibraceCoin" lol. Guys, i called this coin "Liberty" too.. that's what Librex sounds like! the "X" is given as a "Y" sound so it's easy to mess it up. Pronounce it "Librey". You really dump your coins over a typo?
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMC2] Einsteinium | Funding the future with the future of currency on: August 10, 2014, 07:26:22 PM
I'm here guys, just busy working extra hours and haven't had much time to come on here much in the last few days. Just a quick update. Relative is overseas but still working on the PoS switch. He will make an appearance here very soon regarding details on that. He said the coding is going smoothly and he has been processing PoW blocks for the change over.

I'd like to see more positive community interaction in the form of beneficial ideas for EMC2. Also, anyone willing to take on a bigger part in the coin should contact me immediately. I'm not leaving the coin but I am quite busy and pressed for time. We will start need financial donations to hire a bigger team or we need people to step forward and offer their skills for the benefit of our mission. Switching to PoS is the start that will restore confidence in the coin, the next steps will require more hands on deck.

I'm actually at work as I'm writing this. Please let me know if you have any questions directly and I will reply. Thanks guys.

- Ryan

Website is back online! The Block Explorer is rebuilding on the new server and should be back online soon.

Site updates coming soon to reflect PoS changeover instructions + specs.

Also, I've been designing the new wallet UI so I will be posting screenshots soon for suggestions.

I can't say EMC2 is officialy dead. near a coma, right now but if ryan agree to build a team to put emc2 on track. It will only be known as a hard time we were able to go through in the life of EMC2.

Those that doesn't believe in emc2 anymore, you have the right to do everything you want with you coins. For those that still believe something great can be achieved, let's do it.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Desperate times call for desperate measures... so no more waiting!

In light of recent events and market price, I've decided to use my personal money to fund development of a swift transfer to PoS for EMC2. I was paid yesterday from my personal job and my bills are paid / food is in the fridge. I'm willing to make the sacrifice for those investors who believe in our goals and what we are going to achieve.

I'll be sending RelativeSource his payment of 1.5 BTC and our switch to PoS should not take longer than 7 days.

The website will be back online soon along with a brand new server.

The block explorer / rich list will come along with the new website server as well.

RelativeSource is ready to begin programming immediately and will be here to answer any questions for you guys.

Also, we'll be working on a new system of PoS that will help gather coins for science and show the total transparently in the wallet. We'll also have in-wallet market prices, PoS info, Chat, new design, and a tutorial on how to transfer your coins to the new blockchain.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMC2] Einsteinium | Funding the future with the future of currency on: August 01, 2014, 04:15:07 AM
ryan you have to let the community know what is your plan from now on.
You have to tell us what you need help with.
And you have to understand that you can't do everything by yourself, we need to do this as a community. Only one person can't get this coin back on track. Be quick because there isn't much life left to EMC2.
We need to act now because if nothing is done, in a week, it will be dead for good.

Well, There are a few things on the hotplate right now to really get the ball rolling. We need to get a transfer over to a nice wallet with more features and PoS which will help set us on a new path while simultaneously showing the community that we care about their needs. For this, I am willing to offer 1 million EMC2 to the dev. Secondly, we should create our own "experiment.com" style website to host projects and allow people to donate EMC2 directly. That would help boost up the community again and give them a trusted tool for buying and using the coin. Once again, I can offer another 1 million coins for that task as well.

If we could get a rally going and some promotions hitting twitter, facebook, reddit, here, irc, etc. That would be great. It's time we switch the mood around and drum up support for this warrior of a coin! A few new meme's with some positive posts, supporter plans for the new website, etc. Venture on.

Who has some connections? Do you have a big following on twitter? Do you have pull in the bitcointalk community? It's time EMC2 gets some love because good things are happening.

I'd like to once again give a big THANK YOU to all of our long time supporters. We made it this far, let's see what we can do now! Hold coins and spread the word.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMC2] Einsteinium | Funding the future with the future of currency on: July 31, 2014, 02:38:34 PM

I agree that the community is not really where it should be for us to collect the money. Not only that, but forking a coin a changing its fundamentals usually kills it all together. The switch to PoS will not increase our value. It's taken me a bit of humility and learning, but I've come to decide that we need to change direction with this coin. What we really need is a new system for donating to science. Switching algo may be something that can come a little down the line, but at our current state it may be best to refocus on what we are really supposed to be doing with EMC2.

My goal now is for Einsteinium is to create a website much like Kickstarter or Experiment.com specifically geared for funding science projects with crypto. People will be able to create projects and receive votes / funding directly in EMC2. Above that, it's time that we rebuild our coin team from the ground up. I will update very soon.

WOW....You have become the MASTER OF DISSASTER.... You change idea like the weather, one day sun next day rain.

I'm willing to put a switch to PoS as the leading agenda, but I haven't been able to find a single developer to do it for free (or take a sizable amount of EMC2). It may be a bit cheaper to get a website created that helps us fund science using EMC2 first.  Otherwise, there will need to be some funding involved. In any case, I know the community wants PoS so hopefully I can find the right developer who's willing to take on the task for EMC2 bounty.

dude your a dev, and cant get your hands on 3btc?!? been involved in other coins to, wheres your payments for that work.....you dont sound to committed to emc2 to put it in yourself, maybe if you said you will raise half and prove it, people may raise the rest.....not just ask the community to pay in full, and get no results months later

Being a "dev" does not mean you automatically make money. EMC2 is no premine, no IPO, and has no direct funding for the coin or its devs. I am holding IPO money for dCM but I wouldn't spend that money on EMC2 without permission from dCM investors. If I see large number of dCM investors agree for me to use that money on EMC2, I will do so.

To further add on my post,  because I feel I threw an alternative that wouldn't be realizable. I'm currently one of the top 3 holders of emc2, if I were to make a sizable donation based on what I own, it would still be quite a bit less than the amount needed. So,  at the current market value, it's a great amount to raise,  what I own right now used to be worth about 20k, I think everyone here is in a similar boat, further investment from current holders has incentive, but at another risk for a more than comfortable chuck of what their investment is currently worth. It's not that 3btc is a big fee,  it's just a fee the community isn't really able to absorb at the current market value.

So here's my suggestion. Why not make the new Dev the recipient of the next (or 2) wormholes? It gives him incentive to do a good job, it potentially gives him more money than the flat 3btc fee,  and it's actually realizable. And it also goes towards "helping science"  if it's funding a system TO fun science.

The reason we chose BTC instead of a EMC2 donation is because of current market value. The developer needs money right now in order to pay for the time it will take to begin to implement the changes. Upon payment receipt, it will be the his decision to buy back into the coin while prices are still cheap. Otherwise, the rest he can cash out to pay his bills. If we pay him 3btc in EMC2 directly, it would take a sizable portion from myself or from holders and it's just not a very reasonable decision at current market rates.
It's not only not a reasonable decision for you OR anyone else at current market rate. You have to ask yourself,  why would someone take a risk and pay BTC  to make their past investment worth a little more when they've already lost so much.  It's 1 thing to Baghold until now, it's another thing to Baghold until now AND further pay. Besides, I'm not sure emc2 community currently has the confidence to send 3btc blindly. I'm not coming at you or anything, but things went sideways here, some things were planned and never ended happening and you were recently associated with a potential scam (like I said, I'm not coming at you, I think I actually like you). But I'm stating the current facts. 3btc collected just isn't happening.  It has nothing to do with how strong this community is or not, this community just isn't in a state where it can do that.

Your most loyal community members and biggest pockets already your post,  I think it has been established  that for no one thinks it's worth the risk / reward.

So used your time wisely and don't waste it waiting on that 3btc filled and come up with another proposition.  Maybe try to make my suggestion or something of the sort work out,  or come up with something entirely different,  or a Dev  that would accept such a position without cash up front.

And beyond the scope of the rest of my post,  usually someone gets paid after the work is done, I'm not exactly sure why we're hanged by the balls and that it should be any different especially in a bitcoin world known for scams and jobs unfinished.

We should create a ''how-to'' to give with the EMC2, to help those that are not familiar with CC.
Good decision, not let focus on reaching the scientific community. This coin is for them, so let them know we exist.

+1  Cool

Also, does someone still have access to the twitter account?  Might be a good time to start sending tweets to remind the community that we are still here!

Yes I do and I've began to tweet / retweet more lately. I would like to hire someone from the community to handle our Twitter account exclusively + tip bot. I will create a bounty post for that after work today.
