41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I have $6000 to start mining, what should I buy? on: February 04, 2021, 04:31:32 PM
Let's not discourage OP, there are many reasons why one would want to build a mining rig today, you should have asked if he can endure and continue mining even if bears strikes unexpectedly, if one can't get ROI back in few months they can in one and half years
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: server motherboards for mining rigs on: February 04, 2021, 03:48:45 PM
That's definitely a server motherboard Shocked, my advice is don't bother using the CPUS for mining because of energy they consumes unless you have free electricity, also it will be better if you use riser cables inside those pcie slots, they are too closer to each other for even three graphic cards, watch out for Temp
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are privacy coins still a thing? on: February 04, 2021, 09:16:50 AM
I'm wondering what the darkweb looks like🤔, anyways, many people are using darkweb for lots of illegal things so they have to use privacy coins and also mixers too, Monero for example is well used by these type of people, even the hackers around the globe, privacy coins serves their purposes honestly, you just don't see that yourself
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Linux 18.04 for Lolminer and 5700XT? on: February 03, 2021, 02:48:26 PM
I am fairly new to this and have been using lolminer on my gaming PC with a Sapphire Pulse 5700XT and Windows 10.  I am picking up my EVGA 3070 tomorrow, so I want to move my 5700XT to a spare PC I am building (i5 4670K/ASUS Z97 Pro Gamer/16GB Ram/250GB SSD).  I don't want to install Windows again (out of licenses), so I want to try Linux with Lolminer.  Which version of Linux do I need, 18.04 LTS or the newest one?
Go for mining OS instead, Linux can be very difficult to understand, download HiveOS or SMoS (simple mining) OS and load on a usb drive and boot it up, they are built with Linux OS and they works perfectly and more stable than windows 10, easy to config for newbies too
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 7.th card problem. on: February 03, 2021, 02:23:00 PM
1. Switch to gen 2 in bios
2. Use high wattage power supply or use two
3. Update motherboard BIOS to the latest
4. Risers sucks sometimes, if you have any spare laying around pls change

All these are the possible ways to fix your issue, I do hope it help out
46  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Avoid Fake Giveaways And Ponzies on: February 03, 2021, 01:27:56 PM
I just got a link from a friend hours ago and I clicked on the link to see that it's a scam cloud mining website, be ready people, crypto mining is very profitable right now, there is 100% assurance that scammers will keep coming for newbies, luring them to buy hashing power from them, it's all scam, stay away if you know what's good for you
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Only God knows for how long mining will remain profitable on: February 02, 2021, 09:02:55 PM
Building a mining rig is suited for those who can endure through bear markets because bull markets don't always last forever, things might be different this time around but I pictured not more than 4 months of bull season, like I said things can be different this time around since crypto is now more popular than ever
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.5c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: February 02, 2021, 08:47:44 PM
I'm confused and curious at the same time, I'm using Nicehash to mine Ethereum and I can see Phoenix miner 15.6 as the latest on Nicehash, why is this Phoenix miner on Bitcointalk forum still talking about 5.5c version? Or is there something I don't get here ? I can show screenshot if there is any doubt
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Worth converting old cards to mine? on: February 02, 2021, 08:34:34 PM
Sorry bro even if you have 100% free electricity you won't generate a penny out of such graphic card, they are 101% obsolete and there is nothing you can do about it, you can either buy graphics card like RX470 with 8gb ram or gtx1060 with 6gb ram
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Benefited from AME Token? on: January 27, 2021, 04:31:59 PM
I got an update from AME telegram channel with good news when team wanna buy back with lower price of AME on exchange market listed MXC, Bithumb and on BKEX, keep believe with their promise will buy back? just open your mind and see what happen with AME tomorrow or next week will raise higher price above IEO because price today below ieo only $0.01, I think after listing on MXC price of AME looks very dump.
Is buyback the solution here? Enough of all this token buyback already, what Amepay token needs is better developments and connections with strong projects, as you can see dump still happens on MXC too
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: mining with laptop bad idea?? on: January 27, 2021, 04:29:22 PM
I have a friend that mines with a alienware laptop that have gtx1080ti inbuilt but here is what he does, he only mine for few hours everyday and in a room with air conditioner running, the truth is laptops aren't good for long term mining, you will end up burmo some components in the motherboard, buy fairly used GPUs for mining if money is what's holding you back
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shall I HODL DOGE? on: January 26, 2021, 05:46:21 PM
If you have DOGE presently you should keep and ignore, don't bother changing to any other coins as altcoins aren't in the bullish mood yet, and if all you have is BTC do not bother selling for DOGE, that doesn't make sense too, it's not worth it
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX Vega 56 & 64 on: January 26, 2021, 05:43:40 PM
In Russia, the seller asks for $ 540 for a used Vega 56 video card produced in 2017.
This is the first problem. And the second problem is that these video cards were bought mainly by miners.
Gamers passed by these graphics cards.
Therefore, I prefer not to buy these graphics cards.
No no no, don't get it wrong, you can do research on your own using google, RX vega 56 is indeed very good for mining Ethereum, it can produce up to 52megahash per second, presently you can get one at 460$ on ebay, I believe that's still a fair price, it's not about been old or not, it's about profit making
I think you've mistaken RX5700XT with Vega 56 mining hashrate, only RX5700XT can do 54megahash and VEGa 56 can only do 32-34 megahash, check your calculator once again, Vega 56 isn't that good for Ethereum but better with Monero, the image below is for RX vega 56

54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: AME Token TRADING LIVE ON BKEX EXCHANGE on: January 25, 2021, 05:18:35 PM
Sad that i missed a chance Buying Amepay when i Offered it here in in Altcoin marketplace but i'm Late because that time the Amepay Team had already start trading and my chance slips away.
Wondering how much those Buyers like me Made a profit when im Now . truly sad.

But It's Ok because I'm happy knowing that the Campaign pays their Hunters and nothing comes to scamming like most of the campaigns in altcoins.

You should have offer a good price, yours was too cheap Cheesy and besides am sure those hunters who sold cheap to the team already regretted doing so, i heard mxc listing is already approved, and i also saw their tweet about binance, the amepay team seem to be determine to take this project to a higher level. One of the trusted alts bounty of recent.
Am not confused yet, trading starts on MXC exchange today and the price isn't even different from what it was before, BKEX deposit still remain closed, there is another exchange too but less popular yet no increase in value, I guess the team give up too many tokens for bounty and Airdrop
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where were you? on: January 24, 2021, 04:36:57 PM
It's a shame to see so many people buying Ethereum for 1300$ this year, its crazy you know, where are you guys when Ethereum was 150$ in 2020? Oh, you probably still doubting about what if, isn't it? Where were you when bitcoin was 3600$ Huh Some people have already make 30x from different altcoins that you are now looking for because they understand how crypto works, buy low and sell high, that's the rules of the real crypto hunters. Now I'm just fearful because others are been greedy.
It's because of the pandemic period crypto is becoming well adopted right now, bitcoin have shown the world how stronger it is compare to other store of value assets around the world, it holds better and stronger than stock and gold, I has proven it's worth that's why there is more demand
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solve taking profit problems. on: January 24, 2021, 04:35:15 PM
Greediness is why you will hold coins at their ATH price when you bought them at very cheap price, people don't know what they actually wants and once greed takes over they will be  looking like zombies, if you don't know what you want you won't know when to take profit
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: I am looking to sell Monero Classic (XMC) on: January 23, 2021, 05:52:02 PM
The market cap of Monero classic is still over 4 million dollars but the trading volume is very low, just a little over 12,000$ and that's not good, you can try selling ok tradeogre, I've used the exchange countless time so nothing to worry about and don't mind the interface
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Fake token on Uniswap on: January 22, 2021, 05:05:21 PM
This is one of DEX exchanges flaws, it's decentralized and every users are simply responsible for any choice they made, one step ahead of DEX is how I look at centralized exchanges anyway, you can't list a fake tokens on Centralized exchanges
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Will history repeat itself? (4GB GPU) on: January 22, 2021, 04:56:31 PM
Back in late 2016 - mid '17 I thought my 280x/7970's from '14 were pretty much done for.. Along came Zcash amongst a few others to make them profitable again for at least another 2 years until 2017 - '18 they got replaced.

Right now, My 4GB 570/580's are looking at the same fate! Will something come along to save them? Or is there time truly up? as they drop to below half their normal hashrate, to around 15mh.

Well thanks to lolminer 4gb cards and asic miners can still mine Ethereum only at a lower hashrates but as time goes on they even become more lower on hashrate power, it's just better to buy 8gb cards and sell those with 4gb memory, the zombie mode on lolminer that makes this mining works on 4gb gpus won't be able to help forever
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: You can lose transfering and withdrawing on: January 21, 2021, 04:18:07 PM
I always try my best to avoid Ethereum transactions this days but since I have some good tokens in my wallet I have no choice but to send them to exchanges to trade off but what I will never do is withdraw with Ethereum again?  Shocked, even on binance exchange the withdrawal fee is 5$, a real pain in the ass
