41  Economy / Economics / Blockchain helping supply chains get visibility through Symbol/NEM. on: August 24, 2020, 01:13:23 AM

1. App allows device authorisation for scanning QR codes on products and geo-fencing for additional security.

2. Each scan is then securely recorded on Symbol blockchain.

3. Sustainability metrics can then be presented in real time with tracked .data

A supply chain is a network between a company and its suppliers to produce and distribute a specific product to the final buyer. This network includes different activities, people, entities, information, and resources.

Can solutions that blockchain provide help us get more awareness, or can these be solved by a simple server database?
42  Economy / Economics / Re: Lithuania President gifted crypto to Estonian President. on: August 15, 2020, 10:13:51 PM
These small moves can help wide-spread adoption 100%. Blockchain technology is still very vague, especially to the older generations.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum ETH 2.0 Launch Date for Testnet | Validator Node Setup & Profitability on: August 09, 2020, 05:40:34 PM
It's great to see ETH2.0 tested without any issues showing up at all, this is one of the reasons why ETH pumped like crazy for the past few days.

You also have to admire what Vitalik and the team is doing, they're not stopping with the project development and is kinda similar to what NEM has been doing. If ETH2.0 is for ETH, they got Symbol which is blockchain for businesses, people are already using it prior to their token launch.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 21 Best Cryptocurrency to buy in 2020 on: August 09, 2020, 05:38:05 PM
ETH with their ETH 2.0 and Chainlink entering, being kicked out, and entering top 10 in CMC again I think are more than enough reasons to be the best coins this year.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: International Group of Finance Leaders says "Ripple’s XRP Network Leapfrogs Lega on: August 06, 2020, 07:51:57 AM
XRP used to really be a good coin in the past, but it seems like that its not being as competitive compared to all these major projects out there. For example, NEM developing blockchains for businesses that has both dedicated enterprise chain features, so that captures marketcap, plus all decentralization features to target the market cap too. Looking at XRP, it hasn't done much for the past few years, but has major contribution to the crypto society overall.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tencent Builds Blockchain Platform for China’s Oldest Wine Producer on: August 04, 2020, 10:35:19 PM
Tencent is huge, and because of this movement, we may see a major game operating on blockchain too.

They don't have a team that specializes in blockchain though do they? I'm not really sure but you have to have really experienced devs to make things like these work.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will $XRP be safe for long term? on: August 04, 2020, 10:34:06 PM
XRP is a top coin, and its continuously pumping together with all the altcoins out there, and I still believe in its potential. I really appreciate the progress that they continue to do despite of their success. Its similar to how NEM is moving with their new token Symbol, they're doing a 1:1 airdrop in Q4 and businesses are already using their new platform.  All these top coins are really proving why they're up there.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The IRS Wants to Track & Trace Privacy Coins and the LN on: July 30, 2020, 07:48:48 PM
Why are some of these entities so hungry to track all these crypto holdings? Goodluck on breaking it down lol.

Does this mean that they're scared of the potential and that the IRS already wants to take over?

In terms of traceability, even businesses are already starting to take that seriously. An example is a CBD company using blockchain from NEM for tracing their crops. This might be the future we're seeing, especially with that FOMO kicking in.

It's never too late, ETH can reach a new ATH with its trend.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Firms Collaborate With Chinese Central Bank to Launch Digital Yuan on: July 28, 2020, 01:23:31 PM
This can be the future for real. I also saw Lithuania kinda trying to do the same thing. To celebrate their Act of Independence, the Bank of Lithuania, through LBCoin, is issuing 24,000 blockchain-based digital tokens and 4,000 physical silver collector coins. That's all using NEM's Symbol blockchain. People are now starting to realize the worth of crypto  Cool
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Future of blockchain-based enterprises: Pluggable private network? on: July 20, 2020, 12:59:54 PM
One of the things that hinder businesses and major corporations to start using blockchain technology is the integration part. Even on the crypto side, these cryptocurrencies are unable to handle a large number of transactions in a fast and efficient way. Visa is handling from 2000 to 4000 transactions per second, PayPal - close to 450 transactions per second. While crypto has lower figures in that department.

The newly launched Symbol network will launch to create public-private hybrid deployment by syncing with the NIS1 publish chain. While Symbol, the enterprise-ready network, will function as the private plugin, the community-led and -validated NIS1 chain will operate as an ever-strong public network.

Will this pluggable private network/blockchain attract more businesses to enter the blockchain space?

53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins Are Currently Surging Very Fast: Chainlink, Tezos and VeChain on: July 18, 2020, 02:00:42 PM
Chainlink and Dogecoin are the real winners for the past 2 weeks. The fact that LINK was able to get to top 10 really proves their worth. Something that we should watch out for too is Symbol by NEM. It is an advanced blockchain evolution by NEM and they'll be having a 1:1 airdrop for all XEM holders so it's going to be easy coins/profits for sure.

54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO might soon become an history in crypto world soon on: July 18, 2020, 01:53:49 PM
I don't see IEO going anywhere in the next few years, but DYCO has such a great system, that it may overcome all coin offerings out there.
55  Other / Archival / Re: Santander bank plans to expand Ripple's payments network later this year. on: July 18, 2020, 01:49:55 PM
Wow even Spain! I guess Ripple and NEM are leading the way of integrating blockchain everywhere.

56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bank of Lithuania's making the world’s first digital collector coin using NEM on: July 14, 2020, 01:32:23 PM
It's happening!! We can see more countries and banks actually seeing the benefit of cryptocurrency and blockchain as a whole, do you guys think that we'll be seeing more of these?

Yes, absolutely. It's not gonna make everyone happy by boosting their respective bags but this is one small move that will help us big time in the future.

What will be the use of their LBcoin though?
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: A suggestion from an early adopter on: July 12, 2020, 12:41:48 PM
I'd go with

- BTC (coz its BTC  Wink)
- ETH
- Doge (It has been going crazy for the past few days)
- NEM/XEM (since they'll have a 1:1 airdrop with their new Symbol token by Q4)
- ADA

Lesser risk, higher chance of getting profits.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be caught unaware on: July 12, 2020, 12:34:19 PM
invest at least 10$ in as much as possible coins that you can get that look promising to you.
Newbies are very easily to badly invest into projects that are told as very promising. Promising, how do you consider a project is promising?

It requires many things and you can not rely on the others to believe in a promising project. Such stupid belief will cause you to invest in that project. I don't care about the technology behind DeFi projects that are widely considered as promising, and also as the future of blokchain ecosystem and financial markets. Months later, maybe within a year or two, you will see how promising DeFi projects are.

This kind of strategy is difficult, especially for newbies. All startup coins can easily convince these newbies that their coin is the next big thing, but the truth is that, they don't have any proven track record with. I'd rather go for coins or alts that already has a name to protect. Top ones are BTC, and ETH, and some other good ones are like XEM (NEM) since they'll do an airdrop by Q4 with their new token with Symbol and it's 1:1, and some other alts than boosted up are Doge and Carnado.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Wine company using blockchain to eliminate fraud and secure authenticity. on: July 08, 2020, 08:42:48 PM
Logistics and fine wine has been open to exploitation for some time. There are multiple examples of wine tampering, theft, counterfeiting and passing that all undermine confidence in both the supply and demand of fine wine as an asset class around the world, costing producers millions of dollars in lost revenue.

A recent Forbes article described wine fraud as an ‘epidemic’, with claims that over 50% of all wine exceeding $35 per bottle sold in China as being counterfeit. An estimated 30,000 fake bottles of wine are sold each hour in China alone.

A new initiative coming from NEM which is called "Symbol", helps wine growers and producers keep track of what’s happening with their raw materials and products at every stage of production and distribution, by using blockchain to track and verify the product as it leaves the vineyard, with all key information publicly available to reinforce the wine’s authenticity. If other industries such as food, agriculture, etc. started utilizing them this way, their token value will surely increase.

Will we see more of these scenarios in the next coming years?
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is cost-reduction attractive enough for businesses to use blockchain? on: July 05, 2020, 01:14:18 PM

As we approach mid-year, this is a good time to step back and have these businesses look carefully with their practices. Is this the perfect time to get them introduced to blockchain technology?

Yes, 100%. A lot of major corporations are doing their quarterly report in the next few weeks/months and this is a good time for blockchains to be introduced. I like NEM and it's great to see them selling that new platform/token to these big players, and use their big name to easily get in.

Anything that has decentralization features can help target their market cap as a whole. Good chance to grab during their 1:1 airdrop and get these XEM holders be more wealthy.
