41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is investing in ethereum safe? on: January 13, 2023, 06:10:59 PM
: is it not wrong if I choose to invest in ethereum?
No it's not! The thing is wrong is if you invest all your money in this. [ never put all your eggs in one basket ] You need to have some part of your investment in bitcoin and some in other large cap as well.

: what is the drawback of ethereum?
Its transaction fee is very high compared to other L1 blockchains (which will be fixed according to the team but for now it is its drawback)

: why is ethereum the no. 1 ALTCOIN?

42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts about Polkadot? on: January 13, 2023, 05:07:50 PM
[..]Is this time a good entry for buying Polkadot or should I wait for more?
Now? No! Yes, the time when you posted it was a good time to invest in dot. If you had bought this on the day you posted here, then you are already in profit now. if not, then you should wait now as I think the market will come down and that time will be good to buy it. ( This is just my opinion that the market will come down. It's all up to you to, buy now or later NFA)

[...]The main problem with Polkadot is that using its JS wallet is complicated.
Mate, There are many other wallets that you can use to hold your DOT.

43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is It good For The Casinos And The Accusers If .. on: January 13, 2023, 03:11:49 PM
No, I am not in favor of this. If any forum member has a complaint about any casino site, he/she should post about it here. doesn't matter if the casino site has an announcement thread here or not (if it's scam accusations). It should be posted here in the forum so that other forum members also know about that casino site's scams.
44  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can players bet on their own games on: January 13, 2023, 01:06:11 PM
As soon as a player plays with a bookmaker who has a KYC and knows which player this is, it will certainly be noticed. I'm also pretty sure it's stated in the terms and conditions that players are not allowed to bet on their own matches. ~
As OP wrote, It is still possible for a player to gamble if he creates an account with his freind's name and submit his friend's docs for KYC. No casino platform will know who is behind the account.

[...]Recently in an incident popular player was found spending on betting and he has been suspended from the team. It was really pity that what he might've won is very small compared to the amount he lost due to the suspension that lasts at least for a year.
I think one year ban is too short, instead, they should have banned that player for lifetime. This would have set an example among other players and they would have known that if they were found involved in gambling, they would also be banned for lifetime.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learn from my mistake, these people aren't playing on: January 12, 2023, 06:36:17 PM
I think in the excitement of 10x profit you didn't even bother to check whether the token you are buying is real or fake you just bought it just because the logo and name were similar.

Anyway, I hope you have not lost much money in the scam. Take this as a lesson for the future and always do some research before buying any token.

even though most Shitcoins are scam coins, there are also those that you can really rely on to take profits.
Agree, there were so many shit tokens/meme tokens that disappeared in this bear market. Such projects are just money grab nothing else.
46  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on revenge trading? on: January 12, 2023, 04:52:23 PM
~ what is your take on revenge trading?
Revenge trading or chasing loss is nothing but a way to lose more.

~ Do you think people intentionally go into revenge trading or is is just emotional?
No one would want to lose his money intentionally. Of course, they want to reach breakeven but in this process, they lose more. However, it should be like, when your stop loss is hit, accept the loss and wait for the price to come to your point of interest. And observe the price action in a lower time frame to jump in. If you take trades with good risk to reward then I don't think you will be bothered if some stop loss hits.
47  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is it becoming a thread for casinos refusing paying very huge winnings? on: January 12, 2023, 08:12:58 AM
I came across a topic recently now on this very thread about a casino refusing to pay a woman ber jackpot winnings of over £35.4m and if you'll agree me that, this isn't a little sum of money to just ignore.
She won only $2.25, not £35.4m according to the New York State Gaming Commission.

Quote
The New York State Gaming Commission said Bookman’s machine had malfunctioned, and that she'd actually won just $2.25 (£1.86).

Despite all of that, I think she deserved more than dinner. The casino owners should have at least given her a few thousand dollars because after all the fault was from their side.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LCX vs BNB on: January 10, 2023, 05:43:30 PM
I have seen a lot of people compare LCX to how BNB was a few years ago.
I don't think LCX should be compared with a BnB. It's the same as comparing a kid with a bodybuilder.

Binance is the #1 exchange, on the other hand, LCX is not even in the top 100 150 exchanges in terms of volume.

would be happy with a £1b market cap next bull run
Based on Utility of the token 1b seems realistic, but it is the crypto market after all, anything can happen. $1b or 0 time will tell.
49  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you experienced this kind of gambling on: January 10, 2023, 12:03:27 PM
As davis196 said, people who gamble on lottery numbers often find such numbers which actually make sense. Because the winning numbers in lotteries are random 0 to 9, and they might match with someone's jersey number, license plate number or phone number.

For example, this 43-year-old woman who gambled on her old car's license number got lucky and won $50k.

Quote
A woman from Maryland, U.S., tried her luck when she used her old license plate number to enter a lottery drawing. Luck did shine on her after she found out how ended up winning a $50,000 (nearly Rs 40 lakh) prize.
Source

But, I believe it is foolish to speculate about the outcome of the match based on the jersey numbers of the players IMO. As it has nothing to do with numbers it is totally dependent on both teams performance.

51  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any Casino Android software on: January 04, 2023, 07:53:57 AM
It is a good decision but not for all users. I don`t see any problem to root phone, but it is not standard. There are lots of men around me, that just afraid to do smth with the phone except downloading apps from official marketplaces. They have only one case - to change phone. But nowadays it is normal practice - change phone every 2-3 years.
If you have a secondary smart phone then you can root it, but if someone roots the smart phone that he/she is currently using. Then i wouldn't call it a good idea because after rooting the phone you can't use banking applications/ some crypto wallets on your smartphone.

There is no android or iOS app yet that is provided by a popular bitcoin casino so far. I would be confident to actually play on apps if Stake.com or Fortunejack. I tried googling, and there are pages that allow us to download thier app but these pages are not official casino pages so there really is a threat downloading these casino apps better be careful.

Whenever one wants to download the mobile application of a company, always go to the official website of the company and download it from there. Even the Google play store isn't safe as they were failed to detect fake applications in past.
52  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you guys bet on sports or casinos more? on: January 02, 2023, 06:02:38 PM
I just need to find a trustworthy sportsbook who will not only accept the bet but pay me too.
These are some trustworthy sports betting sites that you can choose from.

1) Sportsbet.io
2) Stake.Com
3) Duelbits.Com
4) Fortunejack.Com

Check out this thread if you want to know about withdrawal fees or minimum withdrawal amounts->> Withdrawal Fees and Withdrawal Amounts

I've heard and read too many horror stories.

53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Excessive greed is detrimental to investment on: January 02, 2023, 04:59:21 PM
Finally I would like to say one thing from my real life, don't get too greedy in cryptocurrencies and hold any particular coin for a long time.  It has the possibility of much more loss than profit.
This is not just happened to you many people have bought coins/tokens at high prices they were expecting a recovery after every dip and eventually now they are at this stage where they have no other option than holding.

Will the market go to the previous position?
Yeah, I believe. Bitcoin will hit its new all-time high again.
54  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: https://freebitco.in/ on: January 02, 2023, 02:16:33 PM
Maybe i'm doing something wrong or I need to try on another browser.
it's up and running. Maybe you need to reinstall your browser or clear the cache. And make sure your VPN is not active/ON as some sites don't allow you to use VPN.

This is my first post in the gambling section, and I plan to make many more informative posts such as this.
Thanks for your informative post ser.
Hope next time you don't just copy-paste the website link into the title of your post.
55  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is playing national lottery smart or waste of time? on: January 02, 2023, 09:12:05 AM
In my country, it is not called a lottery ticket but it is called a Prize bond, with which you won't lose anything. That is if you buy a bond and in the next few draws you don't win you can get your money back by visiting the bank.
People who prefer to hold fiat also hold such prize bonds because they know they can exchange for fiat whenever they want. But as long as they have it, they will have a chance to win a big money.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your opinion on the future of Decentralised exchanges on: January 01, 2023, 06:50:06 PM
Decentralized exchanges are the future IMO, as people have lost faith in centralized exchanges. Yes, you have to pay the gas fee on every transaction but it is still good at least these funds will be in the wallet whose private key you have. Because we have seen that people who trusted these centralized exchanges had held their funds in their wallets they lost their funds. And we saw the way the founders of the centralized exchanges Gambled with their user's funds.
57  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are your takes on revenge gambling? on: January 01, 2023, 05:06:28 PM
~
One of the major reasons people chase after loss is
*using money they can't afford to loss to gamble
Yes, I agree with you. most people chase a loss when they play with an amount that they can't afford to lose. After which their first objective is to reach breakeven but they end up losing even more money by chasing the loss.

~ What are your thoughts on revenge gambling?
One of the lessons I have learned in trading and gambling is never chase your losses and accept what you have lost.
Every day won't be your winning day. So accept your loss. And come again tomorrow.

What are the measures to help combat revenge gambling?
Don't go for big a win, play with what you can afford to lose.
58  Economy / Gambling / Re: chinese bookmakers with tf gaming platform NO KYC on: January 01, 2023, 12:32:16 PM
[...] KYC will always be the way to avoid or reduce teens playing on a casino but yeah as an adult I hate KYC.
Yes, when it comes to KYC verification, then there is only one advantage of it, which is as you said preventing teenagers to gamble on their platform other than this I don't see any usefulness in this KYC verification at all. However, this cannot be stopped as there are still many casino sites where you need to create an account with your email address and you are good to go. Yes, these sites are good for privacy. But they encourage minors to gamble. I am also not in favor of KYC verification but this is something that makes me think about it.
59  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginner Averaging future trading. on: December 31, 2022, 05:48:50 PM
I don't think it would be a wise decision to short bitcoin at this price.
Instead of this, it seems more wiser to long from the current price (with low leverage). And if the price drops to $13k buy again ( This will reduce your average price) and again buy if the price drops to $10k .

The above is just an example. You need to calculate your liquidation price and according to that, you have to plan your entries. Just wanted to say that I think a long position from here can be a good relative to short. Ultimately your money your decision.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should you avoid anything funded by Alameda Research / FTX ? on: December 31, 2022, 05:34:36 PM
Good you timely sold sol coins when it was around $14-$15 ( I'm assuming from the date of your post,14 Nov)

Now it is at $10 it means if you buy now you'll get more coins than before. (however, I'm not sure it will drop to $5 or below, as according to some sources Almeda research gave their unlocked tokens to liquidators, and the next unlock will be in 2025)

Anyway, I'm not gonna bet on this coin. As there are many alternatives to blockchains available with better TPS.
