41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: That extra two pin slot on 8pin GPUs on: February 10, 2021, 11:25:07 AM
Don't outsmart yourself, 6pin plug has lesser watts draw compared to 8pin, you are simply doing it wrong if you are juts judging base on the wiring, don't go connecting a extra two pin to a 6pin pci wire, you can damage something
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which stablecoin do you trust the most? on: February 09, 2021, 04:59:47 PM
I trust USDT even when it's centralized, every decentralized projects are more risky than centralized projects in crypto space today except the popular old decentralized coins like Bitcoin, I know many prefers stable coins like DAI but centralized stablecoins are just more transparent to me than others
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $Cover protocol hacked (another defi hack) 😑 on: February 09, 2021, 04:55:02 PM
It seems like we will keep seeing DeFi hacks every week now, every DeFi projects that got hacked aren't qualified to be called a DeFi project, if you can't defend your users funds what makes you call yourselves DeFi ? I'd rather entrust my money with binance exchange or other that have a collateral funds for such cases, they are centralized and they always stand up for their failures, I'm not seeing DeFi projects doing the same
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.5c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: February 09, 2021, 04:49:09 PM
After updating RX 580 driver from version Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.4.2 Recommended (WHQL) to version Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.11.2 Recommended (WHQL) on my 4 rigs, they are now kind of unstable, crashing so often like 2 days uptime maximum

Using Windows 10
PhoenixMiner 5.5c
6 cards each rig

I'll rollback to the oldest driver and see if they get more stable.

Anyone else having the same issue???
I got the same result here using RX580s mining rig, the latest adrenaline drivers worsen the case, you have to revert back to the old version and stop auto update on settings yourself
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Stay away from new POW coins on: February 09, 2021, 04:45:23 PM
There is nothing to worry about if you know how to identify serious PoW coins to mine, honestly I've seen a friend who made thousands of dollars from a Pow new coin in 2017, it's a privacy coin but I've forgotten the name, when the coin get listed it has good value and he dumped the mined coins straight up, it was a life changing experience for him, but this opportunity comes once in a while sometimes you gotta take risks you know
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Connecting GPU's with and w/o Risers on: February 08, 2021, 02:18:34 PM
If you aren't using a motherboard that have enough space for up to 6 PCIe x16 slots it's better to buy risers to connect your graphic cards, I'm talking about motherboards like in the picture below, if this is what you own then you have no need to buy risers

With this motherboard I can fix up to 4 graphics card without need for risers as there will be good air flow between the cards
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Put a stop to w10 update and get stable hashrate on: February 08, 2021, 02:11:27 PM
I've tried all I could manually to stop windows 10 auto updates and so far nothing seem to work but this bat file stopped the update fully after restarting my PC, at first I feel hesitant to try because you never know who is spreading trojans on here, thank you OasisDre
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: DeFi is high risk, caution! on: February 08, 2021, 02:08:30 PM
There are very limited numbers of special DeFi projects to look out for, I'm sure they will be big in future and today they are already well developed with no single problem, one is Polkadot and the other is Avalanche, the success of a project and it's future development depends on how pro the teams are, theses two projects got wonderful blockchain experts behind them
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters are getting axed harder on: February 07, 2021, 05:23:28 PM
For me, I'm just following bounty managers that have made good and successful bounties. This kind of method helps me to participate in good bounties. So far I've received payments for all my work
I've promoted two projects since December 2020 till January 2021 and they aren't from any bounty manager, the teams managed their campaign themselves and they paid bounty hunters as they promised, Stobox is one and base protocol is another, bounty can be very tricky, even popular bounty managers can bring bad projects to bounty hunters
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New step into RTX beast mining GPUS on: February 07, 2021, 05:17:19 PM
I run several 3090's and anywhere between 308 and 315W a piece and I am averaging over 120Mh/s on each.

Open air rack with fans behind the GPU's and a supplemental fan behind that pushing air away from the rig.

I never see temps over 61 degrees. If I remove the supplemental fan they run much hotter.

My advise would be as long as you have adequate cooling and the budget 3090's get it done!
Can you drop me your configurations cos my RTX 3090 is consuming over 340 watts when mining Ethereum, is there any adjustments I can do to lower the power draw? I'm also getting 120MH/S on Ethereum
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.5c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: February 07, 2021, 05:14:08 PM
It's really weird how phoenix miner is performing this days, maybe it's my pc or something I don't know, I have two mobo with same configurations but one is getting better hashrate than the other, the phoenix miner number is 5.5 and that's through Nicehash mining, what could be wrong?

53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to Choose better Bounty Projects? on: February 02, 2021, 02:46:41 PM
Bounties that accepts limited participants always makes sense if it's not scam project, why? Because the reward will be fair enough for the time and energy you put into the campaign, also look for reputable bounty managers, they bring bounties once in a while
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Desktop failed to boot after nvidia driver install on: February 02, 2021, 02:42:36 PM
What is your motherboard model?
You need to select the UEFI boot mode in BIOS.
I don't understand why you are trying to boot into Legacy mode.
I don't know which is faster for you: configure the system again or deal with boot modes Smiley
Unfortunately some motherboards don't support UEFI bios mode, if that's the case here OP must reload the OS with legacy bios mode which is changing the Rufus software settings to MBR, I have deal with this type of problem once, I'm sure it will work
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any recommended guide to build a 6-rig GPU for a 1st time beginner? on: February 02, 2021, 02:40:35 PM
I started my first mining rigs with just 4 graphic cards, I think it all depends on your budget, also consider some powered riser if you plan on building from scratch yourself, I spent complete 2000$ to build the rig, with motherboard and other parts
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: list of bounties good quality (new update 07_12_2020) on: February 02, 2021, 02:36:39 PM

in the bounty list that I made below will not guarantee the problem of payment according to what you expect, they may not pay you, as I said before it all depends on each individual.
Is gold stablecoin bounty running since 2019 because I'm confused that the project is still on the list, anyways there are few good bounties running lately and they are damn good

1. Prasaga
2. Cook protocol
3. Swaap
4. United Crowd
yes you are right the gold stablecoin project has been running since 2019 until now, I myself have registered several times in the campaign, but always rejected, it is very difficult to get a position there
Then lucky are those who got accepted into gold stablecoin bounty campaign, there is nothing better than constant payouts, since 2019 that is a long time already, damn it hurt I missed out on that one, presently I can see two good bounties called

1. Yield.app from Hhampuz
2. Pastel Network from legendster

Happy hunting people
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Intel enters desktop dGPU market on: January 29, 2021, 08:20:44 AM
We need discrete graphic cards from intel, enough of Nvidia and AMD cards only, another competitors will make getting cards easier, the team shouldn't worry about adoption I'm sure many will buy the cards and use them for gaming or mining cryptos, I hope the make this happens
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Past experience could help the future on: January 29, 2021, 08:16:23 AM
Can't deny that 2020 was a good year for bounty hunters but many scam projects still existed and some don't want to launch till now, I've been waiting for ez365 to launch but no hope yet, also relictum pro failed to list on any exchange, not all bounties I joined in 2020 ends well for me, the most disapointing bounty on my own list is still Bitwings, not a 2020 bounty but 2019, till today they make no progress about their token

60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Beware, Traps from scammers via Telegram Groups on: January 28, 2021, 09:26:34 AM
I don't plan to be mean here, I'm just been honest, every persons that deposits into another person's wallet after importing their private keys are scammers themselves, they are simply trying to steal from the owner whereas the real owner is a smart king himself, what a sea of thieves conspiracy 🤷‍♂️
