I hope every NEM stakeholders this read type of IPO evaluation (skycoin) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=380441.msg6289563#msg6289563 and understand better NEM fundraising model which as I emphasized before is not an IPO but a "call for participation". Stakeholders sent in a nominal fee/ effort to be apart of NEM network and being distributed 1 million NEM at launch and in exchange there is a certain expectation of stakeholder contribution to NEM. NEM core team, our development plan and technological road-map is in no worse than Skycoin or even Ethererum and but only 3% up to auction later on should be considered a fair market price for a NEM stake. We will see how the market will price them. Skycoin just revealed that they are a combination of decentralization and centralization, more like Ripple. |

Allright, if you have better ideas, I'm all ears. I don't support nem charity at this point, just tried to give an example from the real life.
Why do we have to give the raised money to any foundation ? Your example is a perfect case that we should do charity in the most decentralized and direct manner. NEM community should bring in cases as such and we will decide the direct delivery of the charity proceeds to the ones in needs. Perhaps put in a Youtube video afterward for a promotional purpose. If going to the charity direction, I suggest that NEM does it consistently with certain charities for long term, not just randomly every time. By this way, NEM can build the connection between the community and the charities in long run and it will benefit to both NEM and the charities. It is good for marketing too. |

When people do the math, and realize what promotional power 15% of NEM (>5000 BTC), plus over 1000 unique stakeholders will bring to future value, I see these stakes at auction going for a mega-shit-ton. Then, this makes the 15% worth even more. Its an amazing idea.

We will see how the market will decide it. Bur remember NEM is not launched yet and has not prove anything yet. |

as i was telling before my team and i have just found an enormous flaw that could end nxt.
please do not ask how it work as we have decided not to disclose it.
Gl to all of you this was the last post of emule in the nxt forum.
What is going on today? Emule is leaving. Evil-Knievel is buying NXT for 75 BTC. |

Emule, could u plz add Monetary System into ur list?
In short Monetary System will allow to create currencies backed by NXT. New coins r created by "burning" NXTs. Actually these NXTs r not burned but locked. Anytime u can destroy created coins and get the NXTs back.
+1. By this way we can create Nxt dime, nickel, and cent without any change of Nxt scarcity. |

Interestingly, he also talks about Counterparty building their platform on top of Florin Coin, because of that coin's block generation time (40 seconds) and ability to handle 528 bytes of data in transaction messages. Seems to me that a BETTER fit would be Nxt, with 1000 bytes of data available per message... Counterpart directly compete with Nxt and all counterparty can offer will be offered by Nxt. I doubt that counterparty will consider Nxt for their piggyback. However, we should not allow or offer free piggybacks because it will lead to future confrontation between Nxt and the piggybacks as what happened between bitcoin and counterpart today. Appropriate fees should be in place for the use of Nxt by third parties. |

Is this still virtually the pow coins? What features will you add to this coins to make it a 3rd gen coin how will it resists the 51% attach. Can you give more information?

This guy Peter Todd is listed as Chief Scientist of the Mastercoin Foundation. Don't you think we could make an exception when the FUD reaches this level?
I am with you. Now you can see how decentralized we are while he accused us centralized.  Maybe once the FT get more implemented, people will get better understanding about Nxt. |
