Regarding hash reporting and functionality:

Currently, the most reliable way to check your worker status as well as coins mined is via chunkypools.com/account, your worker information will display in the top right of that screen. We are implementing a series of upgrades to our public hash reporting. We have a unique transparent multipool mining setup called a "convertable balance" where you can see what you have actually mined in an altcoin before being paid out in HYPER. This along with other unique aspects of our approach has lead us to develop our own hash reporting system that we are still in the process of implementing.

In short, if your mining rig is accepting work from chunky, your hash is being recorded. Even if our front end ever drops down, if your worker is accepting work, your hash is being recorded. Graphs for X-11, SHA-256, and unique community hash totals will be implemented in short order.

What is a community multipool?

Unlike other multipools, chunky provides coins with their own unique page and port to help keep their communities strong. Each multipool that's part of our "linked community" combines their hash together to mine altcoins, and each gets paid out in their respective coin according to how much hash is on each port. We believe this is a totally unique appraoch to multimining that fosters the growth of communities, and cooperation between them. Right now HYPER users are mining right along side users from UniversityCoin as well as WhiteCoin at chunkypools, and each one is fostering buy power on their respective markets. By mining together, more consistent returns are guaranteed to each community that joins the network, in turn providing even better buy support on the markets. 

With other multipools, you'd find that your payout option would be handled by one main page and you'd simply select "HYPER" from a list. At Chunky, we encourage coin communities to keep their own identity. As we continue to develop this concept, each coin will be encouraged to choose their own custom layout that matches the branding of their coin.

Our coin roster is determined by many factors, beyond simply what is the most profitable coin on coinwarz, we must balance exchange volume (are there actually people willing to buy large quantities of the coin we mine?) as well as difficulty/block time (will we get a block every day?). We will be updating our coin roster tonight to reflect recent changes in the market.

We'd like to again thank everyone for their patience with us over the last week especially, our Chief Technology Officer was out sick. And while trading was largely not impacted, the final step of our secure payout process was. We took this as a learning experience and have now expanded our operation. Mculp will still be acting as our CTO, however he is now working closely with Mindfox, CTO of The WhiteCoin Foundation. Mindfox will be heading up development operations on the WCF side. He's in the process of getting a grand tour from mculp now.

Payouts will be resuming at a specific and regular schedule as soon as possible, details of which will be posted here as soon as they are finalized. In the meantime, we will be continuing to buy the currencies needed to operate our multipools so as to ensure a best possible average of returns for our users.

You can't withdraw convertable potcoin balance, that's merely a transparency feature. Our security procedures do not allow for instant manual withdraws -they typically take 20 minutes to one hour- this is common with most pools. The onus is on you to ensure your balance is regularly withdrawn if you want to jump on speedy trading. If you were directly mining potcoin, and have a legitimate user issue, please do not hesitate to contact us via our support system.

Edit: in fact, that you are seeing a negative balance likely indicates the trade team was right on top of this pump.

No, thank you! Just as an update, we've heard back from the trade team re the x-11 list posted previously: http://bit.ly/1kA6lx9

The current hash on the X-11 port would see a block time of well over a day for most of the coins on that list, for example, Darkcoin has 101.45 GH at the present on their network, and X11 coin has 60 GH. To get a block every day on either of those coins, we'll need at least 300 MH & 200 MH respectively. Givecoin's hash has recently lowered in the last 24 hours to put it as a good contender to replace muniti, as it has roughly the same daily volume.

To explain a little bit about block times:

In principal, all miners are supposed to get the same average rewards over a long period of time whether they are on a big or small pool. Larger pools get frequent blocks, but those blocks are split up among larger amounts of users, resulting in more frequent small increment payouts. On smaller pools, rather than finding blocks every minute, it can take hours or days.... but, with a smaller amount of miners, your reward is proportionally higher.

However, to many miners this is something they're not willing to gamble on. If we did add darkcoin or another very high volume coin on a lower hash, we'd need to make sure all of our customers were comfortable with the fact that we'd be dealing with a very high block time.

Hope that clears things up, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. We will be starting the process of adding new X-11 coins today, Givecoin is looking like our best short term candidate.

Hey no worries! These things happen, and it's a totally understandable situation. Thanks so much for hearing us out, and sorry for any confusion.

We're working on adding new x-11 & sha-256 coins asap over the weekend.

You raised this issue yesterday while making it sound like it was raised weeks ago. After a review of these posts, we see no chunky staff member interacting with you on this subject.

Chunkypools does not equal WhiteCoin. We do not have investors, and we do not lie to people. If you have an issue with us or how we operate our site, you're encouraged to contact our support staff over email or join us in #chunkyhelp on freenode.

The front end problems were due to the many DDOS's Chunky suffered surrounding the timewarp attack, hashes were very rarely impacted at all. We took some pretty big hits trying to protect the blockchain before the fix was implemented, (even after, we continued to experience attacks for some time, though they have now stopped). If your payout issues are related to being on the X-11 port, it could be due to the coin we were mining for the testing phase. We're looking into this today.

If you're mining scrypt, we suggest you have a look at our above posts regarding the difference between "false live buying" and performing actual daily trades on whitecoin.

There are of course two other WC multipools listed in the op now, feel free to give them a try and tell us about your experience. Our goal is to constantly improve, but we're not a megacorp, so these things take time.
