Agreed Litecoin or Dogecoin

One thing though, you mentioned dummy plus and that you were using BAMT and SMOS. If that's the case you do not need the dummy plugs in Linux distro's
42  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Vladimir Putin nominated for Nobel Peace Prize on: April 04, 2014, 03:28:49 PM
there won't be WW 3 unless Russia invades other countries without Russians, only then USA and others might interfere, they are to afraid to do so now, they're afraid of WW 3 and direct conflict of those nations

Both these nations are NATO members.

Agreed. Can't over look the invasion of NATO members
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: eBay Officially Adds New ‘Virtual Currency’ Category to US Site on: April 04, 2014, 02:07:39 PM
Is there a corresponding release from Paypal? If you can complete the purchase with Paypal its kind of a non-starter.

Still though with there track record I won't use them

45  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Cube auction on eBay - am I doing something wrong? on: April 03, 2014, 12:49:22 PM
Don't forget many people use snipers for bidding on ebay. Or they snipe themselves. Around 90% of bids on ebay is in the last hour or so of the auction.

Exactly this

But hey 125 is pretty good I would say
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: bitcoin lost ? on: April 02, 2014, 08:39:14 PM
So if I was using the old qt client, I sent out my remaining balance to a coinbase address which was never received/unconfirmed , and then I updated to the new qt client, have I lost my btc since the btc in my account was "change" and did not do a wallet backup after receiving the "change" , even though I do have the wallet.dat

No you shouldn't have lost them.

Have you launched BitcoinQT with the rescan option yet?

52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Would you support a Litecoin [LTC] to X11 algorithm hardfork? on: April 01, 2014, 02:47:18 PM
What exactly would prevent the new algo from having an ASIC developed for it? Surely it's impractical to fork every time ASICs come on to the scene?

I'm all for forking, and people starting projects to work on but I think keeping the name will cause confusion and hurt Litecoin rather than help it.

Litecoin will keep it's name. After the hardfork, Litecoin still is Litecoin, nothing changes except for the algorithm.
Some people may stay on the old fork by not updating their client but it will die soon as no exchange or pool will except it.

Talking about it like it's happening, lol!

No large pools will follow you.

Nice rigged poll, btw

Exactly, i find it quite funny.

On another note, I've polled my friends, and 65% percent of them agree, I should be in charge of Amazon. Im sure Jeff wont mind
53  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Bitcoin farm in PC case? Anyone done it yet? on: March 31, 2014, 12:34:47 AM
Okay, I'm getting the impression that no one has made a USB mining farm inside of a PC case so it's hidden from unknowing eyes with optimal air flow.. and since we're off topic today, what's the deal with video cards? Why does everyone use these ATI 5830 or 5870 video cards? These things are hundreds of dollars and don't perform nearly as fast as one of the Bitmain U2 AntMiners, Any reason there are so many builds like this and none that I've been able to find like what I'm thinking of?

I would'nt say that, they are just older and better units are available for better pricing but if you search there are lots of people that ran 49 port hubs filled with u1's etc...

As far as the GPU cards, those were the old go to cards, again there are much better out now. People still use them for alt-coin mining.
54  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Bitcoin farm in PC case? Anyone done it yet? on: March 31, 2014, 12:31:44 AM
The Bitmain S1 AntMiner uses a lot more power and gives you less hash/s

You not looking at the costs correctly. Your theory is correct about the cost being much lower in the long run but the initial price difference would need to be way closer for that to hold true, for example:

You said in your first post 9 Bitmain U2 AntMiners for $200 so that's

1.6 * 9 = 14.4 Ghash/s for $200

or

S1 at 180 Ghash/s for ~$400

The power savings wont be enough to recoup these difference in my opinion.

That said, since it looks like your already bought them good luck with it!
55  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should i do with my $1100 on: March 31, 2014, 12:11:05 AM
This is a great time to outright purchase BTC, with the price low
56  Other / Meta / Re: BFL bringing down the trust rating? on: March 30, 2014, 11:56:47 PM
At this point I suppose I shouldn't be surprised by this revelation, but seriously, this is pretty shady business
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Would you support a Litecoin [LTC] to X11 algorithm hardfork? on: March 30, 2014, 11:47:03 PM
The hard part is to get a majority of the pools, exchanges, shops and users to use the new hardforked client.
We are now working on the hard part.

There's alot of really really stupid ideas in this subsection, this is close to the top
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: (Unofficial) [ANN] Litecoin [LTC] to X11 algorithm hardfork on: March 30, 2014, 11:44:30 PM
So let me get this straight, it's not your coin, you weren't even around during its inception, but now all the sudden you decided that its your coin?
