This, right here, is a fucking retarded idea. Leave the man be..... you douchebags.

Exactly when people notice a pattern, is when the pattern changes.

Any info on existing pools which will be ready for neosrypt on switch day?
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Neos reach $5 when V2 is released? on: October 08, 2014, 05:39:01 PM
Well, price target almost happened. Only off by 99%... close enough.
45  Economy / Speculation / Re: 25k btc's are about to be dumped on just bitstamp on: October 06, 2014, 03:37:50 PM
Should have quietly sold little by little rather than trying to drive down the price.

It's entirely possible they've been doing that for the past few months.

^ This. It's pretty clear by now especially what just happened with the bitstamp wall. Whoever is doing this is driving the price down to either make short term profit from shorts, or preparing for a huge buy. Though, I do think their last plan to cause panic with the latest wall backfired and the market is finally showing resistance to any further price decline, but we will see.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the price of deogecoin in the next dear..? pls share ur ideas on: October 06, 2014, 03:22:44 PM
No, it won't. You might have the occasional pump and dump to shake noobs of their BTC.

If the internet has ever taught you something is that memes get lame really quickly. DOGE as the cryptocurrency - removed from its great community - has no innovation what-so-ever. Furthermore, I personally can't see the general public adopting a comic sans currency based on a sarcastic picture of a dog. *I* might be wrong.
47  Economy / Speculation / Re: Daily reminder if you held the bag, you are a fool and will be a loser in life. on: October 03, 2014, 08:36:02 PM
Wanna post any evidence of the many dollarz you made by shorting all your life savings based on this magic "knowledge"?
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PROBLEMS? LOOKING for A Superior ANON COIN? Look no further, you're just in time on: October 02, 2014, 03:49:56 PM
Super cool V2 trailer, totally insane work, amazing, if you epilepsy, DO NOT WATCH IT, seriously!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aB1fTKXsXD0&feature=youtu.be

Serious and detailed demonstration form the developer on V2

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QprqvLShAIc

The V2 trailer is completely useless, that's not how you want to promote software... maybe a UFC fight, but not something that has brains and potential behind it. The demonstration on the other hand finally shows something of value.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Keep my Dogecoins Safe Till 2016/18 or even 2020 on: October 01, 2014, 02:31:51 PM
One thing which is guaranteed about any memes is that they will fade away. This happens with 100% of today's memes. Now, dogecoin has an amazing community, much like other communities revolving around memes. However, if you look any deeper, dogecoin has no innovative value at all in the crypto space.

100 is very low risk, so I wish you good luck. Just Google "how to print a dogecoin paper wallet" and lock it away somewhere safe (more than 1 copy in more than 1 place).
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NEOS] Neoscoin Unique Anon(Arbitrush) Multi-Algo/Multi Exchange Web Wallet! on: September 26, 2014, 05:11:44 PM
1. This is not a copy

Directly from the paper "... the underlying codebase from what Neos was spawned isn't really something never-before done....". If you go to github, you easily see that it has the entire codebase based on bitcoin, there even a "bitcoind.h" in there. Though I acknowledge it does have a new mining scheme.

Quote
2. The anon function wont be a simply mixer.

It's exactly that. Once again, from the paper: "...transactions are sent anonymously through a secure farm of nodes..". It's centralized, just how "secure" is it?
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NEOS] Neoscoin Unique Anon(Arbitrush) Multi-Algo/Multi Exchange Web Wallet! on: September 26, 2014, 04:31:43 PM
Im not sure yet since im economic theory person not a technological person... can a technological knowledgeable person comment on this coin? I want to invest, it seems good, but im not sure if this is legit or not.

Looks legit. They claim to be innovative, but some things are lacking:

  • The anonymity feature is simply a centralized mixer.
  • The "whitepaper" is not very descriptive.
  • It's a clone coin.
  • 5% premine for ICO (not necessariy bad, but who knows).

At this point, there is nothing other than a shiny site to show as well as some hype about v2, which just looks like another prettier wallet. The devs seem pretty committed so it might go somewhere, but its a high risk investment at this point.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PROBLEMS? LOOKING for A Superior ANON COIN? Look no further, you're just in time on: September 25, 2014, 04:44:29 PM
The ANON feature can not be comprised, in the sense that you can NOT be indentified. PERIOD

Thats what people are looking for, and people hating on the coin have not read up on it, Im sure of that

Right now with ring sigs in doubt, its no wonder we see people switching over to NEOS

Not what I'm saying, and yes I've read up on it. Look, an attack on the centralized off the chain mixer will render this coin useless for anonymity. This is to not be confused for a breach in anonymity, just simply that the feature would be unusable.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PROBLEMS? LOOKING for A Superior ANON COIN? Look no further, you're just in time on: September 25, 2014, 02:41:54 PM
Is this a decentralized anonymous approach or does it go through a central location to create anonymity?

Its mixed a multiple nodes, it's the most effective way if you really want to be anonymous. If your looking for it to do it on the blockchain, it doesn't, but it's more effective and safer then any one doing it on the chain. You can invest in CN coins for that, but this way is superior and much safer overall. It's really exciting tech, if you really research into how it works

Watch this video. He put it out today to answer some questions about the anon that Neos uses.
http://youtu.be/kbx_O4eg-v8

I think we get that, but the problem is still the centralization. It's simply just a centralized mixer; it might be "effective", but it is definitely not safe! Indeed, it has a single point of failure or breach: the mixer. Unlike CN coins, where an attacker would have to compete with all the miners on the system, this coin is easily destroyed by someone gaining access to these nodes owned by a single person/group.

I say this not because I'm trying to light this coin on fire, but rather because all new coins in the crypto space should be subject to a high degree of scrutiny. The ones with merit will stand on their own.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PROBLEMS? LOOKING for A Superior ANON COIN? Look no further, you're just in time on: September 24, 2014, 08:35:49 PM
So it's anonymous because it's...completely centralized.  Huh

This. The anonymity is 100% centrally controlled, miners have no incentive to enforce anonymity so who will provide it? The dev team? I may also remind you that this coin has a 5% premine. This makes it a pump unless proven otherwise. And by "proven otherwise", it has to have more than a shiny new website and a video about their super hyped v2 wallet.

In the end their "whitepaper" isn't all that impressive, it doesn't really go in depth about anything. I hate that every 1-2 page block of text saved in PDF format is now called a "whitepaper". Fuck that!
55  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Diff between trade and exchange markets on: September 23, 2014, 03:43:57 PM
They very much are united in the sense that they use the same orderbooks.

The only difference is in the execution of orders. Exchange usually assumes a person either wants to buy/sell his/her bitcoins, usually for a purpose, though not necessarily. For example, you have too many bitcoins and you need some cash now, or you find out about bitcoins and are interested in buying a few to use or hold, or you have business buying bitcoins off exchanges and selling them locally with a markup.

With trading, all of it is based on price speculation. People with money wager their money on the movements of the market, this involved trading with margin and applying leverage to your trades, in order to make money in ANY direction of the market.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PPC] Peercoin Official Thread: NuBits Released. on: September 23, 2014, 03:21:55 PM
5 Minutes after NuBits rel, PPC Crash from 0.038 to 0.030  Shocked Shocked
Why??

Classic buy the rumor sell the news. The fact that the details were kept secret pretty much sends the message (intended or not) that the news may not be live up to the hype. This indeed, turned out to be true.
57  Economy / Speculation / Re: Shall I take out a high interest rate loan to buy more Bitcoin? on: September 22, 2014, 09:13:37 PM
Yes, but only if the interest is high.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitcoinEXpress - self made legend? on: September 22, 2014, 03:41:24 PM
The fact that nothing is happening except a few concerned sell offs, smells too much like garbage. Seriously... timer for extra drama? It's like grade school in here.

BCX, just do it already. Prove that you can, like you said or else admit that you're just trolling and end it. This forum is 90% monero posts... wouldn't mind if it disappears off the front page one way or another.
59  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it btc or USD? on: September 18, 2014, 08:43:38 PM
>implying I hadn't.

I'm here to help people.

I have made enough money, it's not about anymore. It's about the truth.

Ha. Sure bud.
60  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it btc or USD? on: September 18, 2014, 07:58:28 PM
This is nothing yet, the panic selling will start tomorrow and in the following days. You heard it here first. I already made accurate predictions before, now you can keep this one and hold your worthless coins or you can do the smart thing. Your choice. I have inside info from whales and I know what I'm talking about.

LOL biggest load of bullshit I've ever heard: "inside info from whales". Then why the hell are you even here... I would borrow $100,000 and short the fuck out of BTC while telling people to buy so I can make even more profit.

If you take advice from beartrolls, you're going to have a bad time.
