41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ross Ulbricht Jailtime Poll on: May 26, 2015, 05:23:23 PM
I voted for life because of the whole paying to have people killed thing!

This is a very grey area and I think those charges have been dropped since. It was pretty much a setup, apart from the fact he stated he has had other hits done 'for cheaper'. Read into the Carl Force case...

It may have been a set-up but pretty much all murder for hire prosecutions are. They have to have made the first move to hire a hitman and its when they do that law enforcement step in. What is unclear from the SR/DPR case is whether the corrupt undercover cops suggested the hitmen first to him. If they did that's entrapment. Regardless of that, it still looks bad on DPR because the intent was there.
42  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-12-05] Wired: Bitcoin May Never Make It to Wall Street, But Its Tech Will on: May 13, 2015, 12:16:54 PM
Today’s bitcoin digital currency, says Angel, a professor of finance at Georgetown University, is too flawed to replace existing currencies.

And those flaws being...? He doesn't say. I think he could have a point that bitcoin could indeed be replaced by something better eventually and the fundamental technology behind it will go on to be used and influence other things, but people are already taking it to wallstreet like the Winkles and I think its only a matter of time before Wall Street embraces it in some way.

Dont be a kid !!

The person above want a proof from science ....So Science proved the existence of Creator and that is Allah....Smiley

Allah Is The Creator  Of This Universe...Smiley

The only kid here is you who believes in childishness based on nothing. Using the beliefs of people from the scientific community is not proof from science. Steven Hawking doesn't believe in god and he's one of the greatest minds on the planet so does that disprove the existence of god? No.
47  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Before the earthquake, Nepali People killed 250,000 cows to celebrate festival on: May 09, 2015, 01:53:37 PM
Are you sure they don't eat the meat after? What do they do with the carcases? Just leave them to rot? Surely they don't just slaughter them and that's that. It must cost a lot of money to rear those animals only to just kill them. I wouldn't really be against it if they didn't just waste the meat and leather etc. Quite bizarre if so.

It takes a person skilled at butchering several hours of hard work to cut up an animal that size, so even if some were eaten, most would be going to waste. Also, if the intention was to eat them they would drain the blood first probably.

There are a lot of Asian buffalo and cattle in that area. In one part people will eat the meat. A distance away it will be forbidden. In some areas if a driver hits a cow a mob will gather and beat the shit out of him.

Some places it is 'illegal' to eat any animal products, including eggs, except for dairy. Also interesting, in Nepal some people will eat only male animals.

Hmm... good points, but surely they can't just let the meat rot? Can't be very good for hygiene and it will stink.

Lol i dint know that, so this stupid pagan ritual seems to have worked just as opposite of what they wanted... and the God will keep punish those men who keep doing this stupid pagan rituals from the Ancient Age sacrificing innocent forms of life for nothing.

ib4 stupid Christians claim it was this rit- FUCK! They beat me to it already! What's next you guys? You're going to pick out some homosexual couples over there and claim it was them that caused the earthquakes by angering god while having zero understanding of basic Geology and Geography? Mind you people did that in the UK when we had floods awhile back so I wouldn't put it past them, by the way I agree that these kind of rituals are stupid with the other sane people, it's not only barbaric but a waste of food that people in those areas would have needed.

I don't believe in coincidences, thats all i can say.. the luck doesnt exist. Every action has a reaction. And is pointless to debate with pseudo scientists like you, rock Head.

You don't believe in coincidences? The entire universe is one.

OMG this is too much immoral
They wasted too much meal, they wasted too much milk. They wasted too many cows. They wasted too much of their economy.
But what is its benefit? What is its purpose.
Just waste of above things?

Well the "point" is that it is meant to be a sacrifice, and that's what they're doing but obviously it is a backwards and silly belief but it's not like the rest of the world doesn't have silly beliefs either (I'm sure you can find plenty of passages in the bible and quran on sacrificing animals also).

Look like a lot of work for almost nothing in return.

I'm glad at least one newb gets it. Sadly most don't until they've wasted countless tedious hours filling in captchas and have next to nothing to show for it and then when they try spend the dust they have to pay massive fees because of all the tiny inputs.

Statements by physicists which support the existence of Allah and acknowledge His attributes.

1) Descartes, the French philosopher, said ‘Even though I feel imperfection in myself, I feel at the same time there must be a Perfect Being and I find myself obliged to believe that this feeling was implanted in me by the Perfect Being which is characterised by all attributes of perfection, which is God.’

In this statement he is acknowledging his weakness and inadequacy and confirming his belief in the existence and perfection of Allah. He is acknowledging that his feelings and sensations are a gift from Allah and are part of the innate nature instilled in him by Allah:

‘the innate nature made by Allah in which He has made men’

(Surat-ar-Rum (30), ayah 30)

2) Isaac Newton, the well-known English physicist, who discovered the law of gravity said: ‘Don’t doubt the Creator, because it is inconceivable that accidents alone could be the controller of this universe.’

3) Herschel, the English astronomer, said: ‘The more knowledge we have, the more irrefutable proofs we obtain for the existence of an Eternal Creator with infinite power. Geologists, mathematicians, astronomers and biologists have co-operated in setting up the edifice of science which is the edifice of God’s greatness.’

4) Lenet was quoted by Camille Flamirion, the Frenchman, in his book titled ‘God in Nature’ as having said: ‘The wonders of God’s creation, the Everlasting, the Eternal, the Omniscient, the Omnipotent, have astounded me: what power, what wisdom, what creativity in His creatures, small or large. The benefits which we get from these creatures testify to the greatness of the Mercy of God who made them subservient to us. Their perfection and harmony points to His vast Wisdom. Their preservation from extinction and their renewal bear witness to His Majesty and Greatness.’

C'mon don't be silly. These don't prove anything. They're the opinion of men. And Descartes was a philosopher not a physicist. And Newton believed in alchemy too, so sometimes physicists or so called intellectuals from the olden days have silly beliefs. And Newton and Descarte were Catholics not Muslim.

I didn't expect to create such a large discussion about PD support Cheesy ahah.

I understand Stunna & Edward want to handle support themself for security reasons but it's really a bad idea in term of customers service. It's not very professional and really slow in comparison with others websites (Fortune Jack for exemple..). They should hire someone they trust where they live.

Is this true? They should probably hire some more people for support if so. I know it's hard to find people you trust but I'm sure it can be done. If they're working for you in an official capacity then you can always request their ID and details to avoid any potential scams. Support does seem to be lacking at PD so I do think this is something they should improve on.

Looking to buy hero member at lower price.

Ask or make a thread over in digital goods, but what is your asking price? I don't think people sell Hero accounts for any small amounts. Not really worth it otherwise. Buying a Senior or lower rank and building it up may be a better idea.
54  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Before the earthquake, Nepali People killed 250,000 cows to celebrate festival on: May 08, 2015, 10:19:58 AM
“Gadhimai festival is a sacrificial ritual that is held every 5 years at the Gadhimai Temple of Bariyarpur, in Bara District, about 100 miles (160 km) south of the capital Kathmandu in southern Nepal, near the Indo-Nepal border. The event involves a large scale sacrificial slaughter of animals including water buffaloes, pigs, goats, chicken, rats, and pigeons – with the goal of pleasing Gadhimai, the goddess of power.” (source : wikipedia)

last gadhimai festival is on 2009 , is it possible gadhimai festival on 2015? lol think it before share , be smart buddy. do your own research before share the news even it from reputable source like dailymail, this news absolutely hoax , all those pictures taken on 2009. and someone desire take benefit from this.

No, it was late last year. That article is from 28 November 2014 and according to wikipedia that's when the last festival was. This  guy has just decided to post it now for whatever reason. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gadhimai_festival
55  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never again be priced over $300. on: May 08, 2015, 10:15:41 AM
I tried to pay for a VPS using mastercard the other day however my bank saw fit to block the payment going through, not only that they then blocked my account for suspicious activity and the fraud dept phoned me the next day. They even started asking for my details my date of birth etc even though they initiated the call which I of course refused to give them. Eventually after I called them explaind yes it was me trying to do the transaction, it wasn't suspicious etc they removed the block.

The fun part is after all that I noticed paying with bitcoin was an option for that VPS. I credited the account with appropriate amount of bitcoin and it went through virtually straight away. No hassle. No bank getting in the middle blocking what I want to do.

Point of all that is that as a payment mechanism bitcoin was far easier for me.

This doesn't even go into the value bitcoin gets from its other monetary properties. The thing I like best is that the quantity is not controlled by some centralised authority eg like XRP or like fiat dollars as a store of value bitcoin could turn out to be better than gold

That phone call and block is just a security measure by your card company and one that bitcoin doesn't have. If someone made an unauthorized purchase with your card I'm sure you'd be pretty appreciative of the safety systens and even if it went through you'd be able to get your money back eventually. If the same happens with bitcoin you're pretty much screwed so both systems have their positives and negatives and drawbacks.

Good point on the market place here! Thanks Whitehouse!

Also forgot about Coinbase, will give them a try...
Do you know if they do UK withdrawals?

Well I imagine so. Wouldn't be a very good exchange if they didn't allow you to make withdrawals. Have you checked on localbitcoins too?

What kind of xit is this ,uncivilized people. Karma is Real.

Karma isn't real, and do you not eat meat or wear leather? Millions of cattle are killed every year all over the world so I don't see why it's that much different (though as I said above its wasteful if they do not do anything with the meat/skins etc).
58  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do islam hates people? on: May 08, 2015, 09:57:06 AM
I personally believe there is a worldwide conspiracy going on. This whole debacle wasn't created by Muslims but by an Elite Cabal working against humanity at large to mass cull the population at different parts of its history. I think the human race is regressing in general and people are manipulating religion just for their own ends..not just Muslims.  Cry

No. Muslim extremism is a genuine threat, but the media exaggerates it and promotes it when it can to suit their own agenda. They often need a scapegoat to start wars and take away peoples privacy and freedom and what better one than Islamic Terrorism. Religion has always been used to further peoples political goals and not just in Islam but Christianity too and that's all it ever is.
59  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 2 GUNMEN KILLED OUTSIDE MUHAMMAD CARTOON CONTEST on: May 08, 2015, 09:40:49 AM
I respect freedom of speech but I think sometimes we don't act very responsibly. Like the other end of the spectrum you got p[people marching all over the world sating death to america and all sorts. I think incitement to hatred in general should not be allowed. We should try to develop as human beings not regress into oblivion. With freedom comes responsibility and peeps tend to forget that.

I don't think inciting hatred is allowed in many places, though there is always a fine line between what that actually means or the definition of it. I think as a species we are pretty hateful to certain things we don't agree with but we should be allowed to voice them without fear or arrest if you so feel that way. Censorship or oppression to people voicing their opinions doesn't really do anything but push them underground either. I mean, you can ban racism but it's never going to stop people from being racist.
