Srsly, you people criticze load management? With all the extra injuries and the shortened season we had this year? And especially for players like Steph who basically carry the whole team?

Load management is only smart. No one gives a flying eff about one game here or there, if the star player can stay healthy. The Warriors aren't going anywhere without Steph, and he's 33 and carrying a huge load, he better get some rest. Same for all the other teams and their stars. From this perspective as a Lakers fan I am happy LeBron and AD are getting some rest now while recuperating from their injuries. Wonder how they gell with Drummond, but it's great they have the rest. Winning the regular season gets no banners, just ask the Clippers.

They claim a number of VCs have invested in them:

Charles Hoskinson talking about hard work and effort is really the pot calling the kettle yellow. Wrote a short piece about Doge a few days ago, maybe someone will be interested: https://www.coinerro.com/blog/so-price-much-crypto
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: now is the right time to buy XRP on: April 21, 2021, 12:39:02 AM
Exactly. XRP is basically outdated technology at this point.

of the top 5 cryptocurrency on coinmarketcap, then we will see that only the price of XRP has not risen very high and reached the new ATH price, because ATH price of XRP is $3.84 on Jan 04, 2018 (3 years ago), so I am sure if now is the right time to buy XRP, because I think the price of XRP will increase very high and create a new ATH price (such as BTC, ETH and BNB), then of course you will get a big profit from investing in XRP at this time.
As you mentioned all the time in your post, you need profit, right? You will earn more profit in the other altcoins. Why would I buy a Ripple coin? Ripple has some bad reputation where EOS blockchain prices didn't touch the new ATH. Here my suggestion is one, choose your favorite projects (not a bad reputation) and hold it. Don't buy XRP, rather buy some out of top altcoins.

The WarOnRugs people low key hate it. I tend to believe their assessments.

You can make a short term profit on it, but be well advised to set a stop loss order in case the dump starts earlier than you'd expect.

I am not too bullish on Ripple's chances. They are not winning or gaining market share in the business area they are targeting. While the SEC suit might eventually fail, you might be well advised to read a bit into it. It states for instance that the only reason banks are (or were) using XRP was because Ripple was heavily subsidizing this. While it is fine for fintechs to do that, Ripple has been around for kinda long.

If they were a startup they would have been long expected to produce some tangible results. As a token issues they can issue and sell coins all day long without really building a business. Getting over the SEC case might be a positive boost, but what are the fundamentals behind it producing a lasting effect?

Also if Ripple's business is based on cooperation with mainstream financial institutions, even a failed SEC lawsuit might be enough to dissuade their partners from further cooperation. No one wants to get on the bad side of the regulator.

If it gets more noncoiners interested in crypto, we all win.

Cannot see a good reason to put nodes in outer space. You have delays, you have the cost of putting anything into space, you have the cost of the associated energy source. There might be a point at which all of this is solved, but it will be far away in the future.

In a way, the price remaining relatively stable for a longer period of time would also be an extremely bullish signal. Less volatility = less risk = more serious investors, more demand.

The Nets and Lakers literally did nothing.  If the Nets didn't have the players you think Blake and Aldridge sign with the nets no.   Its disappointing that the players want to form "super teams".  The only thing it intrigues is superficial fans not actual fans.  I know for a fact Nets will win the East so long as everyone is healthy...what is fun about that.  Players today are soft...they need a super team to go for a championship instead of getting there on their own.  As a knick fan I HOPE they never go this route.  I'd rather them be terrible for 20 more years than to just get the NBA all nba team on their team and win a chip..but maybe thats just me
You have to consider, why though? I mean Lakers right before Lebron came in (and even on his first year) were a terrible team that kept missing playoffs back to back for the longest time in its history, and then they got players and they won championship on the first playoff run in a long time, you have to realize that it's a big deal.

Nets on the other hand got two superstars and traded for a third one and now they are stacked. You may think that players built those teams, AD wanting to go to Lakers, Harden pushing for Nets trade, Irving and Durant getting together on Nets deal.

These may all look like things that players did and teams just got lucky but you have to realize in order to get these players teams would have to be good as well, not the roster but the front office, if you can pull these off you are actually doing something remarkable, why not Suns? Why not Kings? Look at clippers, they got Kawhi and PG13 and some other good players but lost to Denver. So, it's not as easy as it sounds.

Exactly this. Both the Lakers and the Nets put themselves in the position to sign a big star by building a good and prospect-laden team with cap space. That's a really tough ask. The Nets achieved this without draft picks, which is double impressive. One man's junk is another man's Joe Harris or Spencer Dinwiddie. The Lakers had a few really great drafts, getting solid players both at the top (Ingram, Randle, Russell) and the back end (Kuzma, Clarkson, Nance Jr, Zubac) of the draft. Their cap space did not magically appear, they needed to trade away assets to get it - but they still had enough to entice LeBron and swing a trade for AD. They didn't get their second star for free - gave up Ingram, Ball, Hart, the 4th pick, two other first round picks and a pick swap. Seriously, that's a king's ransom, not some discount market play.

I guess it's easier to whine than to take a long look at the decisions made by other front offices. Speaking of which, the Clippers will be paying Marcus Morris 16-17m till he's 35.

No idea if we'll get a rewind of the 2002 finals. Philly is extremely dangerous at full strength, Milwaukee too and it remains to be seen if Brooklyn can stay healthy and defend at a good enough level in the playoffs. In the West Utah is an extremely well functioning machine, Denver is dangerous and maybe the Clippers can get it together in some way shape or form.

The Nets and the Lakers should be praised and not vilified. Look at where these teams were a few years ago. The Nets had literally the worst situation in the league, with a terrible team and most of its draft capital traded away for hasbeens by one Billy Knight. I'm a Lakers fan and I remember the golden days of Ronnie Price, Robert Sacre and Byron Scott telling everyone threepointers are overrated. Both teams were an effing joke.

What happened since then is both teams fired their incompetent GMs and got people who actually understand basketball. Both teams executed shrewd trades, especially LA had a few really good drafts, though Brooklyn found Jarett Allen at pick 20. Then they had the stars sign with them, but neither LeBron nor Durant would have signed if the teams had stayed terrible. At the point of signing the stars both teams had a good cadre of young players on reasonable contracts. In prior years the Lakers couldn't even get meetings with top free agents, let alone a serious conversation.

Sure, players prefer to come to LA or New York than to Minnesota, but you gotta create the conditions to have them sign in the first place and you do that by smart management. The Knicks or Bulls are a great example how to not do business.
