41  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's the Accuracy with using AI to trade on: October 21, 2024, 07:38:02 PM
Yes, this is my opinion too, manual trading is still better than AI because it has not yet reached maturity, but of course through development and training of AI we will reach a turning point in the future where AI will overcome human trading.
So that people will buy AI and be successful in trading because of the AI? It is not possible. That is not going to happen. I prefer manual trading no matter what.

I must also say that I have only tried free AI, but I am sure that paid AI bots have more advanced features and give better results.
Paid AI may only be like waste of money for anyone that wants to make money from trading. If you do not need some automation in trading, you do not need AI. When some people think of AI, they are thinking of bots that can trade for them and make money for them. They are only deceiving themselves.
42  Economy / Economics / Re: BRICS Pay going operational is a major step in dedollarisation on: October 21, 2024, 09:56:36 AM
Why is this a step to dedollarisation? I haven't read what BRICS Pay is exactly, but isn't the currency (rubles) the same? Did they ever use dollar as a medium of exchange in Russia? Or is this system going to be used for foreign trade between the members of BRICS?
BRICS pay main purpose is to allow BRICS countries to settle payments in their local currencies but which would be in the way they want. So with the card, people that are not from Russia can go to Russia as a foreign and pay their local currencies with it instead of first converting to dollar or rubble. So it can also be like that in other BRICS countries if accepted in the contry.
43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling videos and streams are so unrealistic on: October 21, 2024, 08:57:24 AM
Casino doing that in order to get many stupid people to gamble in their casino and thinking they will able to make money as easy as the streamer. But, this can be a drawback for someone who understand you can't make money as simple as that, moreover we should take in our mind if gambling isn't for making money.
I do not totally agree with you. Generally streamers are used as means of advertisements, to let more people know about a gambling site. There are many people that are not stupid that will notice a gambling site through a streamers.

I'd say, I put my trust on a casino that has no active complain and active to handle accusation from the gamblers.
This is true. I also like gambling sites that people do not really complain about. Have you noticed Metawin on this forum? I have not seen anyone complained about the site before on this forum. It is a good gambling site.
44  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you prefer betting on the total or the point spread? on: October 20, 2024, 09:10:10 AM
When it comes to bet favorite teams, I'd choose total over spread because favorite teams are mostly the favorite even though they're currently under perform. In total bets you don't have to think your favorite teams will beat the opponents, sometime favorite teams do lose, but with only less goals.
Probably I am not getting something right about betting on total that some of you are choosing. I think betting on total means to bet on total scores from both team that are playing the match? If that is what it is, it has high odd but the probability of winning is very low. I will prefer not to go for such odd.
45  Economy / Economics / Re: BTICS Pay going operational is a major step in dedollarisation on: October 20, 2024, 06:51:44 AM
If they have no plan or desire to reduce their dependence on USD, then what is the purpose of them joining BRICS when everyone knows that the purpose of BRICS is to reduce dependence on USD? The countries that have joined and intend to join this bloc are all countries that are fed up with dependence on the US dollar and the authoritarian dominance of the United States.

Yes, USD still dominates the international market, they have dominated the world for over 100 years so reducing dependence or completely eliminating them is not easy. Everything needs to be implemented step by step and it takes time, we cannot expect this process to happen quickly, it may take longer than we think. What we need to care about is that the de-dollarization plan is still being implemented according to the roadmap set out by BRICS.
They have such plan but they are allowing countries that does not care of dedollarization join also.

No, not all countries that are fed up with dependence on United States dollars that have joined the organization. As more countries will join, know that something will change. India and South Africa have no agenda for dedollarization. Even India PM or so talked about it recently. You can read about it in the link below

https://telegrafi.com/en/BRICS-member-India-rejects-dollarization-and-embraces-the-US-dollar/amp/

Also more countries are joining BRICS. 9 countries are now BRICS members and they are Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, and the United Arab Emirates. Also more than 35 to 40 countries want to be part of BRICS.

Some countries joined because they want to have better economy improve cross border benefits and some other benefits.

Without joining BRICS, some countries has settled cross border payment in their local currencies before. They do not need to join BRICS before they can do something like that.
46  Economy / Economics / Re: BTICS Pay going operational is a major step in dedollarisation on: October 20, 2024, 12:56:07 AM
What I think more about BRICS is that as more countries are joining, some of the countries will not have dedollarization plan in mind. Some countries like China, Russia, Iran will be the countries that will have that in mind. I still see dollar to remain very dominant, followed by euro.

Yuan has been overtake Dollar since many years ago, with BRICS this will strengthening Yuan more.

The yuan has overtaken the dollar any source for that idea?
There are more than enough countries selling oil to the US in $.

I think he meant that Yuan has been overtaken by United States dollar since many year ago. But the question would be that has Yuan ever been above United States dollars before? I think it is NO.
47  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Spot trading techniques on: October 20, 2024, 12:27:48 AM
I have just been buying and hodling and now I am interested in learning a simple spot trading strategy to master. Looking for some expert advice..
My advise for you is to be very careful of trading. Most new traders are losing. Some old traders will lose until they leave trading. But few people are making money from it. The person that make money from it are highly experienced in trading and not just about knowledge.

You can do a simple strategy buy low and sell high
Buy low and sell high has been what people are saying when it comes to trading, they say it like it is very simple, but when it comes to real trading, they will see how trading is very difficult when they will think they buy low but later sell low instead.
48  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fake exchanges that mimics original exchanges are real on: October 19, 2024, 07:32:05 PM
Scam is a very broad topic and I think almost all sector of the economy has at some point in time faced some
Crypto scam is not a broad topic if you are looking for just ways to avoid being scammed. When I first know about crypto, I learned about different types of malware like Trojan, Rootkit, Cryptojacking, Clipper and some other types of malware. Then I read about how to avoid them. The funniest thing is that to avoid all these malware is very simple. Also I learn about scam and how to avoid them. Also your knowledge will save you from scammers. If I should put all down, it will not be more than 3 to 5 pages of A4 paper. The problem is just that people are ignorant and they do not bother to learn about crypto scam and hack until they have become a scam victim.
49  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you checked an overview of your gambling habits? on: October 19, 2024, 06:51:58 PM
I've been able see a guy who won over $10k with a little less than $5 but instead of reducing his gambling engagements, he increased not just his engagement in gambling but also the amount he uses to gamble and at the end, he lost everything.
He won $10000 and he was unable to see someone like business to use it for but prefer to be using it to gamble. Many gamblers are like this. They would win and think that they can continue to win thinking they they have special knowledge about gambling but at the end they are losing. That is gambling, at the end or after a long time, if a gambler calculate his winnings and losses, he will see that he is losing more. I have seen people like this before also and I have seen rich people that gambling player made poor. It is very good to see gambling not as a way of making money. If you have luck and win huge amount of money, it is better to quit gambling or use small amount of money for gambling.

51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it true that China wants to legalize bitcoin? on: October 18, 2024, 01:14:44 PM
I believe China doesn’t recognize Bitcoin as property or currency. While it's not illegal to hold, trading it is against the law, so there's no clear regulation on Bitcoin and crypto in China.
I remember there was a lawsuit that made it clear that China recognized bitcoin as a property which can be legally owned. I search for it online and I saw this on Forbes:

At the same time, Chinese courts have generally held that Bitcoin is property protected by the law (and likely will continue to do so—leading to more headlines that China is reconsidering Bitcoin each time).

The Forbe article was in July of this year but I read it last year or last 2 years.

Recently, there was news that Shanghai recognized Bitcoin as a "unique digital currency." That could be the spark behind the rumors that Bitcoin might be legalized soon. It’s a small step, but it has people talking.

Bitcoin gains legal recognition in Shanghai despite China's crypto ban
Oh! Probably this could be the reason.
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Is it true that China wants to legalize bitcoin? on: October 18, 2024, 12:57:21 PM
I have been seeing thins on X (which was Called Twitter before) that China will soon make bitcoin legal.

According to many news and our discussion on this forum, we know that bitcoin is legal as a property in China but not accepted as a currency. Bitcoin mining was banned in China but presently China still has the second highest bitcoin miners. China is a country that can be used to know that nothing can ban bitcoin because of its decentralized design.

If bitcoin will be made legal in China, I think it would be the currency part. But which I do not think I'm this can happen soon. I think those people that are posting it on X that China will soon legalize bitcoin are posting rubbish. Or what is your opinion about it?

54  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: A new player in crypto app rankings on: October 18, 2024, 10:23:31 AM
I clicked on the link that you have on your list above and I saw Bitget wallet. Bitget wallet is not a new wallet at all. It was created in 2018. The reason many people are using it now is because it is supporting almost all cryptocurrencies that people need. Even it is having bitcoin lightning wallet. I have downloaded it before and saw that I did not see a coin that the wallet is not supporting. But the down side is that it is a close source wallet which is the reason I can not use it.
55  Other / Archival / Re: Need 50$ loan to pay on 1st of November 10% interest rate on: October 18, 2024, 07:09:09 AM
You are not yet qualified to be given any loan yet. I do not think anyone can lend you money because your account is not having what it takes to get a loan. It would be good for you to first get yourself into a campaign before you request for loan. Good reputation will start from there.
56  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can the casino control whether the user wins or loses? on: October 17, 2024, 10:33:26 AM
If the casino or the platform which you are using to place your bets does not have a provably fair method or a way to prove that the roll was random, then they can surely manipulate your chance of winning or losing any game even if it's dice. The biggest casinos in the space are using these methods and that's why people trust them and use it. So if there's a provably fair system running, you can be sure that the casino can't control your odds.
I agree with what you said but I do not agree with your last sentence which states that if there's a provably fair system running, you can be sure that the casino can't control your odds. If the games are not provably fair, it is done through manipulation and the manipulation is in the game and not the odd. The odd can be like other casino odds but the game is manipulated.
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever won any significant amount from free spins? on: October 17, 2024, 10:00:21 AM
Either you gamble using free spins, real money or fake money/demo account, it should be same since they're using the same algorithm.
They are using the same algorithm but they are not the same. If you play games with free money, you will not be very careful and you will earn some amount of money but it might be very small. There were times that I spin with free bonus, I won less than $1.5. But this is different from gambling with my own money which would have been losses for me. Also someone can see himself very luck with demo but when he tries it out with money, he started to lose.
58  Other / Meta / Re: The stupidest thread on bitcointalk. on: October 17, 2024, 09:32:49 AM
[For me, if I had to choose the "stupidest thread", (and let me be very clear, I don't see any 'stupid threads' on this site), it would not be this thread or that one but the Wall Observer thread. Would it not make more sense to yelp about that one? I mean, it even went to the point where administrators disabled signatures on that thread.

This is all just pointless bickering.
People are having different opinions. As some people said already that the post belongs to off-topic, some people are supporting it for it to remain on bitcoin speculation board. Although if we should see it very well, the post does not fall under what we can called bitcoin speculation because the thread is not about speculating bitcoin price. But as you see reputed people gave OP merit so many more people gave OgNasty merit. Even a staff is among people that gave him merit. OP should know that opinion of people would be different about this and nothing will be changed. But if it is a newbie that posted that topic, it would be moved to off-topic asap.
59  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short Trade! on: October 17, 2024, 09:17:04 AM
I will advice you to prevent yourself from short selling because it will not allow you to make progress like long term sellers.
There is nothing called long sellers. You mean to go long/buy. Both to go long or short has their own risks. If you are a traders you will understand what I mean. Also a trader needs to use low leverage. Also the coin the trader choose to trade is very important. But during bull market, it is not good for traders to go short, it is very risky, but there are sometimes that the market would have been overbought, a good trader can go short. If he earn little amount of money, he can close the position immediately. But it is not easy like that, if he is losing, it is better to close the position than to suffer more losses. Although his analysis will determine if he should close the position or not.
