Interesting, what do I need to change to run on Ubuntu aside from username and file location?
Change lxterminal to gnome-terminal. I run Ubuntu myself, I just changed it to lxterminal for him because he mentioned using the raspberry pi.

I am running mine on 49 port hub, 10 port siopar 2.1a per port. when they start all good. then next day they all stop. I am using raspberry pi, and uddo machine. it happens on both.. So that might be issues that you are talking about can't go 24 hours without all stopping. was running them at 250mhz with powered 100v fan.
Not sure what to do to fix this.
I have not had any issues with these new-pacs but I have never ran them longer than 6 hours because my standard procedure is to use a script to restart cgminer every couple of hours. Here is a similar code to what I use, but written for your Raspberry Pi. You still have to edit it slightly to fit your particulars. Save this code as mine.sh, edit the line starting with lxterminal with the full path to your cgminer folder and then put in the commands you usually use for your pool, mark as an executing program and run. It goes in a loop so to exit, just use control C. #!/bin/sh echo "Restarting cgminer every 6 hours" while true do lxterminal -e "/home/USERNAME/cgminer/cgminer -o POOL_URL -u USER -p PW --suggest-diff 128" sleep 21600 pkill -f cgminer echo "Restarting cgminer..." sleep 4 done

Was this the solution to run in command or powershell? Sorry I'm not more software savy.
That was for the Terminal in Ubuntu.

I tried to add both the boost function and recompiled the 4.11.1 cgminer version. I am getting the same issue and am unable to get these NEWPACs running.
As a note i am working in Ubuntu and not Windows. Any additional help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
When you recompiled it did you copy the permission rules over? If not, navigate to the cgminer folder and run: sudo cp 01-cgminer.rules /etc/udev/rules.d/ reboot

Since I have a compac and 2 terminus pods, I ordered 2 Newpacs from Crazy Guy to support Sidehack's efforts. I hope to see a new pod miner come out too.

Has anyone been sucessfull w/ bitcoin interest? if so please tell config
Yes and here is the config: stratum+tcp://us-1.pool.bci-server.com:3333 yourbitcoininterestaddress.workername

It does not come with much instruction but you do access it through a web based interface. You just put the IP address in the miner, which should be something like http://192.168.1.70 and the login is root, pw is root. There is a tab for mining configuration and that is where you set your pool urls.

This is a legitimate buyer. I PM'd him, sent Coupon first and he sent LTC right away.

You just set them the same as if each one is mining. You can set different worker names for them if you want. Also, this should be in the Altcoin section.

I send transactions all the time at 22.2 sat/B, which ends up being around $1-$4 dollars per transaction, depending on how many inputs. I sent myself a payment today at 22.2 sat/B to consolidate and it confirmed in less than an hour. Use bitcoin core to set the fees to whatever you want to pay and also use coin control. I send my money to myself at low fees to bring it into a single input so I can spend it quickly at a higher fee rate and not feel bad because it didn't use much data and thus not much fee even though the rate itself is high.
If you aren't running a full bitcoin node, you deserve to pay higher fees because you are just a bitcoin flea--a parasite who doesn't otherwise contribute to the network. Not running a full bitcoin node is completely pleb tier. Since you are reading this on the internet you likely already have a computer and an internet connection. Even if you had to buy a computer to run a bitcoin node on, it would pay for itself in a couple transactions with people paying rates of $40-$100.

How do we know if the pool gets a hit?
Check a block explorer for the most recent blocks solved by pools every couple of days. I use blockchain.info's pool stats page.

Antminer S7LN has been running fine. It started beeping today, which it occasionally does when it loses internet, so I reset it with the power switch. When it came back on, only one board is hashing. The other ASIC board reads 30 chips instead of 45, and 0 temperature and shows 30, -'s for the status (the other board reads 45 chips, 71 temperature and shows 45 o's for the status). Is there anything I can do to attempt a repair or is it just a lost cause? It's running at around 1.4TH/s, so I assume just one board is working.
Edit: I rebooted it again, now the bad hash board is showing 30 o's for ASIC status. I tried rebooting it a third time, now it shows 30 -'s again for ASIC status but then after a few minutes shows 30 o's again but still not hashing or showing any temp.

Hey All, I just resurrected an S3+ from broken status and gave it to my nephew to play with. He plugged it in and it powered right up, green for go. However, I'm having trouble figuring out the password. Last time it was powered it was pointed to: http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (that may not be the actual URL, but whatever is in the miner would correspond) Until I get there to help him with it, is that still a valid mining address? If so, I'll let him keep going. If not, I assume that the ol' paper clip reset clears ~everything~ and not just the password? In that case, I'll have him shut it down. Thanks folks! There is no password on Eligius pool, any password will work. Make sure you put in a valid address. I have an old S5 that is stuck here, everytime I change pools, it stops hashing after a few hours until I do a reboot and after the reboots it is set back here--the paperclip reset didn't clear me so don't assume it clears everything. I only run it sporadically as a space heater for my garage, so I don't care too much about where it is pointed.

Blitzkitten, to avoid this in the future:
Go to Settings > Display and check "display coin control features", then when spending the coins, put in a custom change address as your original airdrop wallet. That way the change goes right back into your wallet and you don't have to resend the change with a new transaction.

Hello, the supporter said that : FOR DEVTEAM APPROVAL ON REINSTATEMENT FOR THE AIRDROP LIST . But i'm still wait 5-6 days. My airdrop is still in blacklist for unknown reasons. i can not understand why and i miss 2 rounds. Can the dev team explain for me ??
You seem like you are not a native English speaker, so I will try and explain. Past, present and future are advanced concepts to communicate in any language. The check status "blacklisted" is something that has already happened in the past. The "for ... reinstatement" is something that will happen in the near future, not something that is happening in the present or has already happened in the past. The former happened at the last airdrop, the latter should happen at this next airdrop. So I wouldn't expect that checkstatus to be updated until the next airdrop. It said you are approved for reinstatement, so I'd rely on that over the check status. So it means that i miss 8th round today ?? I have waited for a long time and try to support deeponion but receive nothing. You did not miss the 8th round as it has not happened yet. It is still out in the future. Check the OP for the countdown, as your local time may not be the same as when the countdown ends. Unlike Vietnamese in English you cannot say something without also saying when in the past, present of future something happens. So you are getting confused on the tense of past, present and future because in your language you can't express these ideas so must make assumptions through context. Your assumptions here about tenses are incorrect because you lack the advanced English skills to read how precisely it was already stated in English. Don't feel bad, you write basic english very well, again these are advanced concepts that most non native english speakers struggle with for their whole lives. Please be patient.

I've always stayed away from DASH because of the issues that the OP mentioned. However, I'm into DeepOnion because I think this coin has a chance to replace DASH by not making the same mistakes. It is still a new coin so we have to wait and see. It's also a tiny fraction of the price of DASH.

Okay solved it. Deleted everything in my %AppData%\DeepOnion directory except my wallet and config file. Resyncing now without issue and showing balance.
Thank you for sharing your solution, I did the same and now I'm running v1.2 as well. I knew restoring back to v1.1 was not the optimal solution but was just going to wait until the next version since it wasn't critical.

I'm going to add a temporary exception and see if it gathers some new data that will let it through when I reactivate MBAM.
Edit: Now I'm just getting error loading blkindex.dat. Maybe that will prove helpful to someone that may understand what's up.
What version are you running? I upgraded to v1.2 and I got that same error, so I just restored v1.1 and it went back to normal.

I voted DeepOnion because so many people are involved with the coin already due to the airdrop. It doesn't have an ICO, plus it's proof-of-stake system gives you a return on your coin.
