41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Experiment 10k | Stress Test Blockchain | Cloud Staking | GorillaStake.com on: February 10, 2015, 03:10:00 AM
I've opened sign ups for 10k. Will start staking by March 1st

interesting concept. I'm also interested in your  pos hardware how much are the devices? can someone put what ever wallet they want on them?  is it only 1 wallet per device?

The ones we've already shipped out stake both MMXIV and BALLS. The new ones will have enough power to add 10k to that list, as well

that would be awesome to have all three going on one device... how much do they cost btc wise? what if someone wanted to use one for a mintcoin wallet etc ?

They come with clients loaded and auto updating for those clients and the web ui. If (and it's easy to) you were to alter these, you would be on your own as far as support goes

We sold them for 3.5 M each during pre-orders and $100 for batch 1 and 2, but the new ones are much different

well I'm much more interested in the hardware than the cloud stuff I'll deff keep my eye's open for the 3rd one to be released Smiley

the 3 coins deff  have their own unique traits each interesting in their own way, great stuff.  the huge transfer fee's being destroyed on BALLS is cool and might be an idea to add to 10k down the road if the money supply starts growing to fast Wink

Unique traits is what makes the difference.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CannabisCoin [CANN][X11][Official][2] Developments & Discussions on: February 10, 2015, 03:08:24 AM
The fact is that the coins were likely paid out as a bounty

Was your above statement based upon fact of assumption?

Fact is the coins went directly to bittrex sent by the owner of the pre-mine wallet (DeltaNineDev). If these were paid as bounties the receiving party was using a bittrex wallet. But again, who pays a 1,465,380 million bounty and nothing to show for it, quite odd and needs to be accounted for.

Regardless, ∆9 has explicitly stated it wasn't him, even though he would be perfectly entitled to recover some of his costs incurred to date.

D9 has stated many times that he nor his team possessed or had the pre-mine coins until faced with the evidence and eventually had no choice but to admit ownership.

Also, i'd like to note, the dev still has 5+ million coins in his possession from the pre-mine. This ultimately means, the dev, confirmed kept 19 million of the initial 21.8 million pre mine for himself.

Remember folks, you were told 21882000 was paid out, not the case..

If confirmed that the dev spent money to bittrex wallets containing ~1.4 million this would mean ownership was at ~20.4 million of the original 21.8 million. *No formal announcement for this 1.4 million bounty was ever made*

You can confirm the dev's ownership of 5 million pre mine by locating his post here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=661885.msg7539953#msg7539953

The dev stated he deposited 1000 CANN following the initial 100 coin deposit to Charlotte Figi CannabisCoin Donation Wallet: CHRpGgAwiiFjm3RKKk1HgRpFTxbxtS9Joj

This depositing address leads to the 5 million cann wallet.

One would think if the dev has enough to pay others 1.4 million bounty with 5+ million reserve he would have donated more then 1000 CANN to the Charlotte Figi CannabisCoin Donation Wallet?  Huh

You know the dev never made any of this pre-mine information formal or public?

All of this information was discovered by myself with breadcrumbs dropped by the dev,

What will we do in that case.

44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] Guldencoin.com/download — Guldenwallet now available in the App Store on: February 10, 2015, 02:52:42 AM
My humble 2 cents on this delisting talk Smiley   Believe me, I'm first in line to cut the mobster multipools off of NLG, but Bittrex currently provides some much needed liquidity for NLG..  Some examples.. litebit utilizes Bittrex to exchange NLG for BTC.. see https://explorer.guldencoin.com/#/address/GZxv6W747MWN2X2vBJJwDxdSd2NdFSrumu  over 61 million NLG sent/received..   If someone buys a sandwich at subway and the store owner has decided to immediately convert to fiat to pay his rent/suppliers/employees, that has to be converted to Euro and there has to be way for him/her to do that.  I'm assuming that takes place NLG->BTC->EURO for now.  NLG->BTC part takes place on Bittrex? BTC->EURO via BTC/EURO exchanges?  Sure down the road a liquid NLG/EUR would be fantastic.  But that's probably not going to happen anytime soon.

On the other hand... try to keep it delisted. Other users will be asking for listing it again.

I'm not trying to be argumentative.. from my (perhaps naive) perspective there is both good and bad associated with being listed on Bittrex..  please don't take my input as anything other than trying have a discussion to develop a better understanding..

There is no reason to not switch their services over to a new exchange, as long as the volume is high enough on the new exchange. Shouldn't make much of a difference, there will always be people selling, but probably at a higher price then NLG is being sold right now. We don't need to be removed from any exchange, just have an exchange with a better end-goal for NLG usage-wise and get all the tools to register there. Such as Guldenbuy, Litebit, Paysafegulden, Guldenpay, price tickers, apps and other stuff. It's about becoming more independent. If something happens to Bleu or Swisscex, Comkort or Bittrex, we have a very cool backup we can call our own Smiley

Yeah, new exchange is working fine and volume is also high.

46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Redemption extended[Updates&Discussion] on: February 09, 2015, 03:05:24 AM
your right it could have launched soon. But then the devs would have been holding large amounts of funding with out the ability secure those funds with multisig. What would happen to nem if those funds were hacked or lost? The devs are simply trying to ensure the longevity of nem beyond 6 weeks or months. A loss of any funds would be catastrophic for nem. It's just not something that should be risked if it can be avoided.

I don't know why this multisig feature attracted myself so much to NEM idea, but If I could have a word - I'm ready to wait another year, just to see NEM what this coin supposed to be..
All the best for NEM DEV team

The development of the NEM is great from the start.

scrypt algo is really a bad option.  Sad

Yes this is a bad option as now gpu miners are not happy with scrypt anymore.

55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: February 07, 2015, 03:26:51 PM
Imo Uno is going to $5.00.  Potatoes can dump along the way, but they only temporarily delay the inevitable.  The fundamentals are clear.

I concur.  Buy on the dips.  Take a little off the top, whatever you do... But, I agree with your sentiment FK, I think it's going to 5.

Still, I think we'll see a correction between now and then.  (<-- hedging my bets)

Z

Lol. I think we're all PRAYING for a correction.  The only coin I know where dumpers are welcome and encouraged, and even depended on. We start to feel sick when dumping takes too long.

I totally do not worry about price. I only sell keep the markets rolling and I haven't sold anything for a long time now, since things took off. I see Uno below $5 as a bargain, just as previously I was buying it below .01, without any worry. But it has to go up. Unless I totally misjudge this community. Maybe you're all going to lead me up and dump on me.  Oh well, give me enough time and I'll buy it back up eventually.

I grok that.

Z

(Let the bodies hit the floor)

Remember the October "pump" when the guy dumped nearly 4k Uno?

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for.
I think that guy would like to have his 4,000 Uno back today.  He set things back for a little while, but now we see what an opportunity that was that those "screaming high" prices.

And 12 months from now we are only dreaming these current prices.  Wink

By October... actually, by September, I had sold off all my altcoins with the exception of UNO and MZC.  You know; Litecoin.  GONE!  Darkcoin.  GONE!  etc. etc.  Bitshares.  GONE! ... I guess I remember October being a little rough, but certainly no worse than that summer of dying altcoins we had just come out of...

Z

Does litecoin have a future?

UNO is stable between all the altcoins.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SEND] Sendcoin & SendChat Messaging App Crowdfund [BLOCKTRUST] on: February 07, 2015, 03:20:43 PM
What a surprising result. Or not.
yeah, im surprised rly. I was sure that devs will throw in their own BTCs to meet the 350 BTC success, but seems like they don't have that much in their pockets, hmm, shit happens I guess.

Thats a lot of amount so they need time.

58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Diamond (DMD) Evolution v 2.0 | NEW wallet, 50% POS Active on: February 06, 2015, 03:26:45 AM
All this drama is not good for the coin. It think its time to calm things down. Maybe we should not do any changes for a bit. Market is not reacting well. DMD was doing just fine the way it was. Ive been in dmd since near the begining, and I dont think Ive ever felt this uneasy.

Vegas

Every coin is falling with the bitcoin so lets wait for the market to become stable.
