41  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is there any PVP based on skill games out there? on: July 16, 2015, 05:40:33 PM
I'm also looking for pvp games where you can play for btc. I see people here recommending chess, which is a game that I really like, but won't chess have the problem of players just using a software to play for them?

I will definitely try the other sites you are talking about though, but I just don't know if chess is a fair option.
Unfortunately it is how you alredy said. You really can't be sure if you are playing with honest chess player or with a chess bot.
Its impossible to tell, because even if gambling application forbid other windows to be opened at the time but people might just have another PC, smartphone or notepad with Chess program running.
That's why playing chess for money is bad idea.

Isn't it possible for chess to be run with a captcha system so players can't use bots to play against other players ?
42  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: cryptsy support on: July 03, 2015, 07:41:35 AM

Has Cryptsy ever lost coins due to a hack on their system?

In other words not like someone got their account pwned, but like how Poloniex and Mtgox got hacked.
No, they have never been hacked. But again, I don't think they have such large amounts of BTC in possession on their exchange.

Use Reddit? I don't have a passport which is in date and it will take quite some time to order one.
You can still use some other form of identification like your driving license, else you will have to get something to verify your identity. After this if they do not respond, just post on the subreddit/bitcoin  regarding your case as Cryptsy tends to pay more attention that ways as it can affect their reputation.
44  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] Banned Potential Jr. Accounts on: July 03, 2015, 06:58:46 AM

Banned: More than 2 months ago, so they may easily got unbanned on request

Just so you know, Forum accounts aren't unbanned after a long time has passed for the ban. Those limits are set initially after a ban and the ban can't be undone
45  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: cryptsy support on: July 03, 2015, 06:48:44 AM
I did try to confirm my account recently, but I used an out of date passport so they wouldn't accept it.
You could then send the one which is not yet expired and wait for a reply. If they don't reply after that then consider doing what I said before.

My account at cryptsy has been blocked pending a withdrawal of 6 Bitcoins. I contacted them 2 days ago and again yesterday at the e-mail address they give on their about page (support@cryptsy.com) but I haven't had a response yet. Has this happened to anybody else? How have you gone about getting your account back?

You might want to shift this in the right section (Service Discussion) . Yes, it has happened to a lot of people, its best to not leave coins on these exchanges. They mostly require an ID to confirm and release, however you can also post it on reddit where I have seen cases like these get much more attention .
Ironically they never block withdrawals from accounts with less balances which makes it fishy in the way they run things.
47  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Buying Localbitcoins Account l Paying up to $1k on: June 25, 2015, 09:05:22 AM
Still looking to buy shoot me a private message

Thanks.

Since you are paying upto $1K , what is your criteria for these accounts ? I have an account I have used in the past , but has private information on it. Would like to know what would you use it for before considering selling.
48  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: People that buy/sell bitcoin on: June 16, 2015, 06:34:14 AM
I am a trader in my country and what I essentially do is buy at a price around 8-9% lower than stamp, and sell at Bitstamp. I manage to sell around 10 BTC a day , so I can bag a profit of around 0.5-1BTC almost everyday.

50  Economy / Gambling / Re: Places to play Blackjack on: May 19, 2015, 05:23:52 PM
I've been playing lots of dice games. coinroyale does offer fair dice gameplay.

Hows that even relevant here  ?
considering op was looking for a place to play Blackjack, even though he did mention Coinroyale in the op. He never asked anything about dice.
51  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do we ignore the civilians killed in American wars? on: May 01, 2015, 08:30:09 PM
The main reason is mainly that the thought that is implaned in the minds of people, about the country which US invades being wrong. We see these movies and documentaries of people attacking the US army in Iraq or someplace, but in reality its the US who has invaded their homes, and that is why the civilian casualty in countries like Afghanistan and Iraq are never reported or thought of.

Is there a maximum amount for the investment ? If you are betting for around 1/10th of the amount of the invested, and you have say 10 BTC as investment, will you be able to cover the bet of 1 BTC from your own bankroll ?
53  Economy / Economics / Re: Trading question on: April 07, 2015, 11:48:57 AM
I would suggest not trying it . I have read a lot of threads of people trying it out, but in the end the fees/Deposit-withdrawal times/ and the volatility will put you down .
54  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Brain Teaser] Three doors on: April 05, 2015, 08:54:59 PM
I read the explanation on wikipedia a while back. Still doesn't feel right, and I will never have an intuitive understanding of it I suppose.
I think of it like dice at times , and its like saying that select a range between 1 and 100, between 1-33,34-67,68-100(dont worry about the differnce of 1, just consider it 1/3) . Now you select 1-33. Dice site owner checks seed to tell you its not 68-100. Then how does switching to 34-67 increase odds ?

There is an example to make it easier: You have 3 doors, Red Yellow and Green.

In the case that the Bitcoin us behind the red door:
If you pick the red door switching would make you lose
If you pick the yellow door switching would make you win
If you pick the green door switching would make you win

Lose 1/3
Win 2/3

Thanks that does clear it up. But with the knowledge of this, the game show host might trick you into a trap , and you may actually lose, if you had selected the red from the start.

I was just looking at other matches, thought would add just one more bet.
Aguilas Pereira v Ind Medellin - Under 2.5 . Under 3.5 to be safe.
Odds - 1.62x

Here is the link to the game: http://www.directbet.eu/BetStatus.cshtml?BetID=1EDZjQ4FMKj2hdJUqRDq4Zs64juqnamSb6

I followed the bet. The game ended at 0-1, looked like a nice bet. I will follow more in the future. This was the first tip I actually followed on the thread.
56  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitDice.me New Game Brainstorm. We Need Your Feedback! on: April 05, 2015, 09:42:50 AM

sir, can you lower the basebet of bet on bitcoin? i think with the base bet 0.00001 its still too big, ty before
0.00001 is like a cent. I doubt they would go any lower on that. Whats the point of gambling if you want to bet less than a cent .
57  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: April 05, 2015, 09:12:47 AM
how long does it take to withdraw?

The withdrawals are processed manually and might take upto 24 hours according to the site.
But usually happens sooner is less than 12 hours most of the times.

59  Economy / Gambling / Re: Most Desirable Dice Site Features? Please Help :) on: April 03, 2015, 08:57:59 AM
Like Ice-Dice a feature that would be  nice to have would be to bet in ranges defined by users. For example, currently you can bet lower than 50, or lower than 20. But would be nice to have something like between 40 and 60.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Tipping Poll on: April 03, 2015, 08:50:11 AM
Dogecoin Tipping was an entirely different concept. Dogecoin took off primarily, because people just used to send an amount like 1000 doge, which didn't have much value, and it was just to show appreciation.

Its the same with BTC but when I consider tipping ,and am not tipping a huge amount, I tend to not send anything, as it would hardly make a difference if I tip someone 50 cents in bitcoin, to someone who is new to bitcoin. But now the tipping system really has been improving. Changetip has changed and made it a lot easier to tip, and since if they don't claim it you get your coins back, and this lets you tip a lot of people who may or may not claim it.
