IMHO, a holder is also a trader.
And with those strategies that you've mentioned, they're good if they're effective to you. But to say that there's only a certain number to become a successful trader.
It differs and varies to each trader.
Everyone can experience dynamic strategies that are not on that list or even fewer based on how they see themselves effective with the strategies that they've come up with.

I trade bitcoin, ethereum, BNB, and XRP and futures, those are my top coins. I also trade other coins sometimes but I focus on high volatility coins for a high risk high reward setup with low leverage only. I trade altcoins mainly on stock market, because it's much safer in my opinion since not all altcoins doesn't have any good developers, meaning their life isn't that long compare to top altcoins that you could trade in futures for long term.
I don't really have much to say you have said it all and I agree with you. But I trade more on BTC because it the leading coin. |

First am not a pro trader, but my trading techniques have proven fundamentals. I recycled around Bitcoin and some handful of good altcoins; I trade with a hand full of funds since altcoins and the bitcoin market move in the opposite direction; I fill my bags with altcoins when the alt markets are down against Bitcoin and sell them when the market is on the rise to buy bitcoin which will be on a downtrend at that moment.
This technique has worked for me over the years.
That is an excellent strategy, but that means that you have had very good vision regarding altcoins and some good luck, because there are many altcoins that have not yet started since 2018, however I know the logic you apply and it is very good What criteria do you take into account to buy altcoins? do you apply technical analysis? Or do you only buy the altcoins that are closest to the Top of CMC? When the price of Bitcoin falls, what do you do is buy altcoins? What happens is that when Bitcoin falls in price, altcoins tend to fall faster, the important thing is to know at what time you can buy that is the lowest point, since if you buy at some point the same altcoin will fall much more. Yes, I agree with you, this is what most traders do and they also make profits from this way. I believe when it comes to trading you do it the way you understand better. |

I have seen many questions about how they are going to be a professional trader, so I just wanna share my experience, I am not a professional trader but I just wanna share some of my experiences and way of thinking in trading. 1. Trade at your own risk - You should know that investing, gambling and trading is somehow the same because you are not sure that you could win the prize, so expect that you could win and you could lose your money. 2. Limit your budget - always limit your budget for trading, you should use only those extra money you have, instead of spending it on some other things, you may use it for trading, at least you made something to make it profitable. 3. Do not be greedy - There are many people who suffered from being greedy, they tend to spend all their money because of thinking that they could still make more money but instead of earning they have lost their money. ALWAYS KNOW WHEN TO STOP AND CONTINUE TO TRADE. 4. Learn from your own mistake - Instead of being sad because of losing try to think on some other thing why you get lost and think some good strategies to overcome those mistakes. Some good tips from google: 5. Check the ticker symbol - Ticker symbols are not universal and may vary from exchange to exchange in rare cases. Those cases, though, can come back to bite you. For example, Bitcoin Cash trades on some exchanges as BCH, while it trades on others as BCC. BCC is also the ticker symbol for BitConnect, which was recently outed as a Ponzi Scheme. If you bought BCC under the impression was Bitcoin Cash, you would’ve lost a lot of money. 6. Pay attention to the bitcoin - Most altcoins (every cryptocurrency except Bitcoin) are pegged more closely to Bitcoin than Asian currencies were to the USD during the Asian Financial Crisis. If Bitcoin price pump drastically, altcoins price can go down as people try to exit altcoins to ride the BTC profits; inversely, if Bitcoin prices dump drastically, altcoin prices can go down, too, as people exit altcoins to exchange back into fiat. The best times for altcoin growth appear when Bitcoin shows organic growth or decline or remains stagnant in price. Never trust anyone who says you won something. Don't connect your wallet to the fake pancake swap or any other shady website. Only use the contract address straight from the real website, yes, Never store your seed phrases in your phone. Turn off dapps, make sure you disconnect your wallet from pancake swap after you are done using it. Never sell or send coins that just show up in your wallet. Never trust airdrops, Never give out your seed phrases, even to family, just put it in your will incase you die. Never tell people what is in your wallet, you may become a person the hackers and scammers focus on. Never trust anyone online, including any of the advice I am giving you. Turn on transaction signing and password.

If you know and you certain that you and your wallet are real and not scam why did you want to sell it, knowing full well what you are going to loss.
