BALANCE
Good and Evil are two sides of the same coin, one cannot exist without the other. Think about it this way, if there were no evil in the society, how would you appreciate the good? The truth is that the more good trives, the more evil trives and vise versa. if i may suggest, do not think of the evil you see in man as a bad thing but accept it, embrace it and learn to leave with it. All you can do is to decide to be good inspite of the evil and stick to that path.

Tesla, an American Automative and clean energy company based in Austin, Texas, designs and manufactures electric vehicles, battery energy storage from home to grid scale, solar panels and more have made yet another brilliant invention which aims at faze out gasoline driven vehicles.
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and Space X, according to https://wap.business-standard.com/topic/billionaires, has a net worth of over $260,000 billion and is still climbing is believed by financial analysts that he will be pushing for the trillion dollar mark by 2024.
Now my question is, is Tesla the innovation that will be responsible for the trillionaire mark?? https://wap.business-standard.com/article/international/elon-musk-projected-to-become-world-s-first-trillionaire-in-2024-report-122032501041_1.html

Tesla is definately going to take Elon Musk to the trilionaire mark sonner or later.
According to Reuters, LONDON, July 14 - As part of a broader package of measures to address global warming, the European Union suggested an effective ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars beginning in 2035, with the goal of hastening the transition to zero-emission electric vehicles (EVs). And i believe that other countries would follow in this step to phase out gasoline cars in the future.

Has Russia succeded in encouraging other nations who have high military might to feel they can up and invade another sovereign nation whenever the urge arises?? https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-34729538

I woundn't be too fast to feel they've succeded in doing anything, rather they have only shown to the wolrld how much of a bad idea it is in our modern time to invade a sovereign nation, especially nation which has ties with the US. with regards to the Taiwan China conflict, the president of the United States has already made it expressly clear that if chaina should attempt to go against taiwan, the United States wouldn't just fold its hands and watch that happen.
46  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How long Putin can continue this nonsense war?! on: May 23, 2022, 09:00:37 AM
War is the last chance for a politician to stay in power, how bad was the Russian economy that caused Putin political suiside? How long is it going to take to step down from power or do Russians underestand he is just a paper tiger?! I believe in less than three months Putin's kingdom is over , what do  you think?

Putin has been in power for 22 years and counting, do you honestly think this was wasn't a calculated risk? Putin might be many things but being sensless isn't one of his qualities. it takes much more than just charisma, being a good orator and what have you to rule a country as autocratic as Russia for this long with no one to challenge. War or no War!! in my own opinion, Putin is going no where.
47  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can America end the war in Ukraine?? on: May 23, 2022, 08:47:29 AM
My question is, it's true that America's military might is more than Russia, can they be able to defeat Russia out of benevolence or is there something attached?? Your thoughts please. https://www.economist.com/europe/america-is-now-thinking-of-winning-the-war-in-ukraine/21808960

The USA might have a greater military might as against Russia, but i don't think they will even dare to directly attack Russia. Such an attack would definitely lead to a world war which frankly, the US and the world can not afford.

51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A time people have been waiting for bitcoin to drop on: May 09, 2022, 12:39:21 PM

I want to know when is the best time to buy or waiting more dip to buy and what if the price turns back to bull?
What do we do?
Cryptocurrency is a very volatile asset class with many ups and downs. As a result, many people believe they should try to plan their investments by purchasing within specified windows in order to acquire the best price.
Everything in crypto is always evolving. If you're trying to time your purchases, this could be an issue. For the term, though, i think the ideal time to buy is near the end of the month. From my observations, the first ten days of the month, the prices usually experience a rise, followed by a price drop (due to people selling after price hikes) in the second half of the month. You can also acquire Bitcoin and hold it for a long time if you want to make a bigger profit. As more individuals purchase and utilize Bitcoin, the value and purchasing power of the BitCoin you purchase today may increase. Keeping your Bitcoin is also a good idea if you bought it while the price was quite high. Not only will you avoid losing money, but you might even make money in the long run. The value of Bitcoin will, of course, fluctuate. If you follow the market, your purchasing power will increase rather than decrease as a result of inflation.
52  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do we raise our kids in this kinda society on: May 09, 2022, 09:57:32 AM
Society nowadays doesn't seem like anything we grew up in, it's so complex and diverse that I can't help but wonder if this is where my kids are going to grow up and how do I manage.
While growing up fraudulent activities, prostitution, and others were seen as heinous crimes whereas today it is seen as a norm. How do I send my children out to society even with a thorough upbringing and not be afraid not knowing what society will through at them? It frightens me. Can't help but wonder.

I feel the problem isn't what's happening in today's society, the problem is that parents no longer have time for their children. No time to watch their daily activities, no form of discipline or punishment for wrong doings.  Children learn by observation not by what you tell them anymore. The best you can do is to train a child the way he should go and hope he or she would decide not to be so influenced.
53  Economy / Economics / Re: Does anyone care about the environment? on: May 08, 2022, 02:24:57 PM
How does this affect on the market? Or doesn't at all? On the prices of bitcoin?
Unfortunately, here is where Bitcoin's detrimental environmental impact manifests itself. According to Investopedia, the network "uses 121 Terawatt-hours of electricity every year... more than the entire country of Argentina." According to a recent analysis conducted by the University of Cambridge, coal accounts for over 40% of mining power. That's not a good number. Because Bitcoin is a finite resource, the energy requirements of mining Bitcoins will only increase with time.
According to NBC, "Bitcoin production is anticipated to generate between 22 and 22.9 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year," according to a study published in the Joule scientific journal in 2019. This equates to 2.7 billion households.

One bitcoin cost $1 in April 2011, reached an all-time high of about $65,000 in April this year, and is now valued around $48,000 as of this writing. Because some bitcoin investors have become millionaires overnight, an increasing number of people are interested in the idea of becoming wealthy through cryptocurrency investments. However, Bitcoin's growing popularity may make it impossible for the globe to avoid the worst effects of climate change, due to the cryptocurrency's massive energy usage and far-reaching environmental  repercussions.
54  Economy / Economics / Solution to unemployment: creating new jobs or early retirement on: May 08, 2022, 10:47:59 AM
Unemployment can have a negative impact on the entire economy. When fewer people are employed, output and GDP fall. Unemployed workers deplete state and federal government resources while tax revenues are lowered at the same time. Unemployment that persists can have major socioeconomic consequences. During the Great Recession, a research revealed how prolonged unemployment might harm workers' long-term earning potential, affecting the economy for years to come.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics releases the unemployment rate by year for historical statistics on US unemployment trends. It dates back to 1949 and shows the annual percentage of the labor force that is unemployed. It also reflects the success or failure of fiscal and monetary policies through time, as they have an impact on unemployment rates.
unemployment is cause by a number of issues raging from Low level of education, Mental issues, Physical health problems, Gender discrimination, Mobbing, Homelessness, Burnout, Stroke of fate, Financial crisis, Structurally weak regions, Lack of motivation. which begs the question, what is the solution to unemployment?

The solution to unemployment some would say is to create more jobs. The number of jobs that must be produced is determined by the unemployment rate and the number of persons seeking employment. When unemployment rises above 6% to 7% and stays there, the economy is unable to generate enough new jobs. one way new jobs could be generated is the creation of a federal job-training program that subsidizes private-sector firms who hire unemployed, formerly low-wage individuals might help employers struggling during crisis, as well as workers earn money and create a long-term job. This policy should also provide a full federal subsidy for the first three months of employment costs and a half subsidy for the next three months, with the employer guaranteeing to keep the worker on the job for at least another three months with no subsidy.

In Austria, two pension reforms raised the early retirement age (ERA) for males from 60 to 62 and for women from 55 to 58.25. Raising the ERA increased employment by 9.75 percentage points for impacted males and 11 percentage points for affected women, according to our findings. The revisions had a significant impact on the unemployment insurance program, but had little impact on disability claims. Men's unemployment climbed by 12.5 percentage points, while women's unemployment increased by 11.8 percentage points. The employment response was strongest among high-wage and healthy workers, whereas low-wage and unhealthy workers continued to retire early through disability benefits or used unemployment benefits to bridge the gap to the ERA.Taking into consideration spillover effects and higher tax revenues, we show that a one-year increase in the ERA resulted in a reduction of net government expenditures of 107 million euros for men and 122 million euros for women for a typical birth-year cohort.
55  Other / Beginners & Help / Which is the safest wallet to store coins and why? on: May 08, 2022, 09:53:55 AM
To store cryptocurrency, you'll need a decentralized wallet. Then there's the choice of a software wallet or a hardware wallet. Theft of funds from a software wallet is very likely Even as cryptocurrencies have risen in popularity and security mechanisms supposed to safeguard customers and exchanges have become more sophisticated, hacks and thefts have continued to occur. A preliminary investigation revealed that a hacker took advantage of a "vulnerability between contract calls," according to Poly Network. After millions of dollars in tokens were transferred to different cryptocurrency wallets, it pushed multiple exchanges to restrict deposits of the coins. About $267 million in Ether, $252 million in Binance coins, and $85 million in USDC tokens were seized.

KuCoin is a Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange. It was launched in 2013 and trades Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Ardor, among other cryptocurrencies. It was targeted in September 2020, and attackers were able to take about $281 million in coins and tokens. Hackers also gained access to the keys to some of the most popular wallets on the exchange. The harm had already been done, even though KuCoin instantly banned all transactions on its website. This is one of the biggest hacks in the history of crypto assets

Binance is a well-known cryptocurrency exchange and if i may say, is one of the biggest names in the business. The exchange is based in the Cayman Islands and is the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world (by volume). The exchange supports over 360 coins and operates in over 1200 marketplaces. Over 7000 bitcoins were taken from the hot wallet by the hackers. The attack cost around $40 million in total. The attackers gained access to the exchange's security infrastructure and obtained sensitive data such as two-factor codes, APIs, and other information.

However, more people are still entering the crypto area now and i believe will still be entering in the near future. They can't neccesaryly utilize a hardware wallet since (like Ledger Nano S, Trezor Model One- Crypto Hardware Wallet, SafePal S1, Steel Bitcoin Wallet for Hardware Wallet Backup), given its use and cost, a software wallet seem to better option. But in light of the recorded hacks, which wallet do you believe is the safest and most secure for storing cryptocurrency in resent times and why?
56  Other / Politics & Society / why is russia putting everthing on the line for this war? on: May 08, 2022, 07:38:37 AM
To be really honest, I don't believe Russia expected things to be this difficult or that they would face so much backlash. Russia has been conquering and harassing foreign countries for, well, forever . They've gone in, taken power, and carved off portions of half a dozen countries with almost no resistance from their military and little pushback from the West. They appear to have thought that assaulting Ukraine in 2022 as they did in 2014 would be the same as before. They had no reason to believe that this would be any different than Georgia, Moldova, Syria, Kyrgyzstan, Chechnya, or any other country where they have used force to impose their will.

At first, this war seemed to be the sole agenda of Putin, but from the looks of things, i think this war is supported by his government and even as his forces struggle on the ground in Ukraine after more than a month of battle, the Russian leader's approval rating is growing. A large majority of respondents 69 percent, says Russia is heading in the right way, up from just over half in February. A fifth of those polled believe the country is on the wrong track. The center's survey, which is widely regarded as one of Russia's only trustworthy pollsters and was included in the country's register of noncommercial groups serving as foreign agents years ago, reached 1,632 Russian adults during a week in late March according to the latest poll.
with all these in view, is russia just being a relentless bully?.They are clearly putting everthing on the line for this war. WHY?

58  Other / Politics & Society / Is Putin at risk of being stopped by his own military Generals on: April 08, 2022, 07:40:21 AM
] Oleksiy Danilov, head of Ukraine’s security council, said 'eight Russian commanders have been fired since the start of the conflict amid heavy losses on the battlefield'.  one of which is General Roman Gavrilov, 45, the Duputy head of National Guard Unit who has suffered major losses in Ukraine is canned amid claims he 'leaked information that led to loss of life's and 'squandered fuel'.

I think this is the first of many unpatriotic acts that we will expect from Putin's own generals because frankly, this war is costing them a lot of money and the average Russian soldier doesn’t believe they are on some weird quest for the Holy Grail in Ukraine.
what are your thoughts on this?
59  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's role in realizing 2030 SDGs on: April 02, 2022, 07:13:18 PM
The sustainable development goals(SDGs) set by the United Nations was noble. But the truth remains, if the poor masses stand to gain the most then countries who had to adopt the goals of the UN because of one political reason or the other would never see it through.

The very nature of governance in alot of countries is structured to make the rich richer and the poor comfortable in their poverty or even poorer as the case may be.

The crypto market is the ultimate key to a hope of financial freedom and eradication of poverty. A currency that is not subjected to any form of political control.
60  Economy / Economics / Bitcoin's role in realizing 2030 SDGs on: April 02, 2022, 03:48:24 PM
The United Nations set up 17 global goals in 2015 to tackle poverty, inequality, environmental degradation, and other issues by 2030. These Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which reflect unprecedented international cooperation in human history, have been adopted by 193 countries. The Sustainable Development Goals, or SDGs, are a set of 17 global goals that all 193 United Nations member nations have agreed to meet by 2030.

This is a summary of the 17 SDGs are focused on a wide variety of topics:
1.   No Poverty
2.   No Hunger
3.   Good Health and Well-Being
4.   Quality Education
5.   Gender Equality
6.   Clean Water and Sanitation
7.   Affordable and Clean Energy
8.   Decent Work and Economic Growth
9.   Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
10.   Reduced Inequalities
11.   Sustainable Cities and Communities
12.   Responsible Consumption and Production
13.   Climate Action
14.   Life Below Water
15.   Life On Land
16.   Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions
17.   Partnerships for the Goals
csm shop opening times
Each of the 17 broad aims is supported by a number of particular and measurable targets.

Projecting progress: reaching the SDGs by 2030
This flagship report is the first to attempt a systematic projection of progress across the entire Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) agenda, showing where the world will be in 15 years if current trends continue. A 'scorecard' against 17 targets - one for each goal – using the best available projections was created. This demonstrates that without more effort, none of the aims or targets under consideration will be met. The scorecard identifies how much faster progress is required by categorizing targets as requiring 'reform, "revolution,' or 'reversal.' Projections on ending extreme poverty, economic development in least-developed countries, and reducing deforestation provide the most reason for optimism — we are on track to achieve more than half of these goals by 2030. To achieve success in time, a larger number of targets, including most of the 'unfinished business' of the Millennium Development Goals, will need to accelerate by multiples of current rates. Decreasing inequality, restricting slum populations, combatting climate change, reducing waste, and conserving marine ecosystems are among the final clusters that require complete reversal of trajectories.

This assessment is based on worldwide forecasts, but the amount of change that is required varies greatly between areas and countries. Sub-Saharan Africa is expected to be the last to catch up. While South Asia, East Asia and the Pacific, and Latin America are anticipated to make more significant development, each of these regions will face its unique challenges. Emerging and developed economies are expected to have the greatest environmental consequences. Also according to Nature review With a decade to the deadline,   the world is on track to miss the majority of the SDGs. The aim of eradicating severe poverty, on the other hand, will not be realized because 430 million people are estimated to be living in such situations in 2030.
It is clear that at the current rate, most of the goals will not be met. Here’s how the 2030 agenda can be put back on the right path.
Blockchain technology was still in its infancy when the SDGs were created in 2012. Few could have predicted blockchain's trajectory and potential for achieving these lofty goals. However, we now see blockchain technology as having the potential to recast traditional approaches to sustainable development – and, if used responsibly, to expedite progress.

In resent times, , it is evident that Bitcoin has enabled a lot of people in poor countries to escape poverty. This is due to the fact that bitcoin allows people to overcome obstacles such as a lack of or insufficient access to financial services and a lack of social trust. Furthermore, boosting financial inclusion and improving fund traceability allows developing countries to address traditional financial system issues.
The most significant impact of Bitcoin on developing countries is the increase in financial inclusion. Most people who don't have bank accounts or capital can now invest in Bitcoin with a tiny quantity of fiat money and profit handsomely. Furthermore, people in developing countries utilize Bitcoin to reduce transaction costs and speed up financial transfers. All of these variables help low- and middle-income earners in emerging countries improve their living conditions. In addition, small firms in these nations are now able to trade globally and accept Bitcoin payments without having to deal with the bureaucracies of established financial systems.

Let’s take a closer look at the impact the crypto world would help achieve 3 key goals of the SDGs
1. Building resilient and transparent supply chains
SDG 9: Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation.
Supply chains are a crucial part of the equation for sustainable development, as they are involved in everything from global trade to aid delivery. This diversity has been represented in blockchain for supply chain use cases. Multinational development banks like as the Asian Development Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank, for example, are looking into using blockchain for trade single window projects in South Asia and Latin America, respectively.
2. Creating stronger and more accountable public institutions.
SDG 16: Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.
Public procurement is one of the most significant sources of government spending and, as a result, the most significant source of official corruption in the world. A substantial amount of money is wasted due to the complexity, relative opacity, and subjectivity involved. Colombia's government conducted a proof-of-concept for a blockchain-based procurement system to boost external supervision. While technology by itself is insufficient, when combined with "monitoring" models such as those established by Transparency International or the Partnership for Transparency Fund, it can be a significant instrument.
3. Spurring responsible sourcing and consumption
SDG 12: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.
Responsible consumption has become a major area of concern for many firms, since climate change and human rights are at the forefront of customers' minds.
We've seen blockchain technology at the core of several of these discussions this year. For example, the Mining and Metals Blockchain Initiative, which was launched last year and brought together seven industry heavyweights such as De Beers and Eurasian Resources Group to investigate the use of blockchain for carbon emissions tracking and supply chain transparency, brought together seven industry heavyweights such as De Beers and Eurasian Resources Group. Around the same time, the Responsible Procurement Blockchain Network, which included Ford and Volkswagen, was formed to test the use of blockchain for ethical mineral sourcing.
