41  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: January 10, 2024, 08:11:30 AM
In my opinion, simple advice like “Stop playing, you’ll soon go crazy with your games!”  completely useless.  The player is simply in a state of excitement and euphoria from the game and will completely ignore such comments.
But, for example, turning off the electricity throughout the house while such a gambling player is playing on a PC, deliberately done by one of his family members, will cause anger and even temporary madness of such a player if he realizes that this was done intentionally.  This is also a bad option for helping to overcome gambling addiction in the initial stages.  So the family members are wondering what else can be done to help such a gambler overcome his addiction.
Family support means to support the addicted member by taking care of them and following what professionals say to how to take care of them. so they can recover from that addiction.
but if family members will try methods like you said, turning of the electricity. that can cause intense anger to the player because what if he was martingaling? he will think I lost half of the money because of electricity.
Perhaps you know interesting original ways?
But then write them here in the topic.  Perhaps they will be useful to someone.
I think this should be asked to professionals which is free on many online platforms and gamble aware forums.
42  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What casino has the best bonuses? on: January 09, 2024, 09:24:52 AM
Hey

What casino offers the best bonuses ? (Monthly bonus, weekly bonus, rakeback,…)

If you wager the exact same amount at stake and bc.game and maybe other casinos?
Which one offers the best bonus?

The rakeback and bonuses depends on the level of the user on each casino like we get more rakeback when we are on diamond then we are on gold level.
So I will focus on leveling up on some reputable casinos instead of making account on each casino which have rakeback and bonuses. and then after leveling up I can get more benefits then registering on different casinos.
I like stake because they provide weekly bonus, post monthly bonus, monthly bonus, rakeback. which are i think better than others or I don't research more about this.
43  Economy / Gambling / Re: Does anyone find the spate of online casinos a bit uninspired? on: January 09, 2024, 09:07:51 AM
Crypto casinos used to be a unique experience on each site on the first years of cryptogambling. There was awesome sites like Satoshi Bones, 999dice, Luckybit, PrimeDice, and other ones, but each one was a different gambling experience.

But then the crypto gambling industry makes a big step and start offering provider services, that way the casinos don't have to code their own games and have a big number of slots and games on the site. Now everything works with providers on the gambling industry and that's why most casinos are similar nowadays.
Yep, there are casino who can provide the same game experience given that they rely on provider services. Casinos are just fighting who has the more edge on them like having very good promotion that can attract people, good deposit and withdrawal time, less strict with their terms and condition, vast deposit options, their unique games and other features. But when in terms of games such as slots, there's not much difference between majority of the casino nowadays given that they rely on game providers.

It is a really good options for new casinos to rely on these services because of the ease in developing their casino, but at the same time bad at them because they are removing the uniqueness that separates them from other casinos.

Most of the casinos are rely on third party game providers like evolution, pragmatic, etc. So there is not much difference in gambling experience when we play on full screen,
But  I like the interface of the casino, more than their games because all casinos have same game providers.
the good casinos are not good because of many different games but because of their service and their support when the customer faces problems. and seamless withdrawals. Also I like some games like crash, mines, etc.
which are also provided by third part but some provably fair casinos has their inhouse games.
44  Local / India / Re: How does Indian crypto exchange survive? on: January 08, 2024, 05:40:12 PM
-snip-
These guys are pretty much moving on Dubai and other countries to venture into other projects crypto or non-crypto related so as to sustain themselves while they observe what happens to the Indian crypto ecosystem. Indeed it is sad to see the situation like this as the government pays no heed to a new industry and attempt to slam it down.

Possibly they are running with skeleton staffing and with reduced pay, eventually employees will quit and rejoin only if things get better here.

Bull run or bear run are not in our control. This makes their jobs, nothing more than a gamble.

I don't know about insider information but i can say that they are not struggulling that much by seeing their Job posts on linkedin.
When many big companies were laying off their employees in techspace (still are) then they had layed off some percentage of their staff.
but On linkedin we can see they are hiring good amount of employees also for managing their social media platforms.

I think we are mostly talking about wazirx because they are not hiring anyone and their social media is inactive for a very long time, It is well known exchange in india but their volume is too low.
Also being well known exchange their employees are around 200-250 according to linkedin. but other platforms have more than 500-900 employees.
Here are some images of their job posting:

45  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Overview] Comprehensive list of Crypto Sportsbooks v2 (Updated) - New Poll - on: January 08, 2024, 05:19:56 PM
I am thinking of adding an average house edge for every sportsbook. That way, we can compare which sportsbook gives the best odds in general. It's going to take a lot of time and data(and calculation) to get accurate average for a specific sportsbook. Should I venture into it? or just let it be? anything else that one would like to know?

PS: I know a lot of sportsbooks give bet boosts for popular events which will make things tricky.

It will take a lot of time and calculation will be complicated if you want to make and edit nice thread like the thread already seems.
I suggest you to make a google sheets to list them and for calculations it will be easier then doing it without sheets or tools/platforms like these.
Also it will be useful if people can get info about house edge on one thread, I think using chat support will be useful to get data like what is house edge on a platform, etc type questions.

Nice tips, most of them are unique and helpful for beginners and experienced.
I have also seen those scam of freelancing, once I got a project of collecting data which was offering $5000 for 30pages, (nice to be true) but they told me to pay a small fee of $25 so their company will generate a card which will allow you to work. I have seen many scam of this types so I think this is trending scam Grin now on freelancing platforms.

also I want share a trick, which maybe known by 80% of the PC users but I think it will be helpful if someone don't know.
If you are using and hover over on hyperlinked text then you will see the redirecting link's URL on bottom left corner of the Browser window. so no need to go to any third party sites to test it.
like this the black mark is cursor hovering over the hyperlink:
47  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale betting system on: January 08, 2024, 02:53:46 PM
Martingale is very bad and risky strategy if you are playing with small amount and trying to make something significant profit like 5%.
if you have huge bankroll then it will take time for a great losing streak to eat it all but that time will come sooner or later, I do not play martingale or any strategy because previously i faced huge losses because of it.
I prefer betting random if I lost significant then i start with small bets, instead of doubling down.

49  Local / India / Re: ₹ Erupee transactions hit 1 million per day on: January 07, 2024, 08:56:48 AM
They achieved 1 million transaction per day by asking their employees to use it, that is some stupid tactics. Few days back I received a notification from my bank that a small transaction using the digital rupee wallet will qualify me for a bonu of INR 5. Even Amazon give more cash back than those the RBI. If they want Indians to use the digital rupee like UPI they need to provide some good offers first. Such shitty offers won't help them.

That's too "to qualify" for a bonus of worth INR 5, wow. they need to make something like get a chance to win a share of rupees 1Crore, that type of promotion will be better than this.
It will be good if apps like paytm, phonepe, etc. integrate this wallet on their app it will be used by many people but I think it is going to be a competitor for them. Grin

No, it's actually the count of transactions that have hit 1 million per day as per the article I have posted in OP.

Quote
Indian banks disbursed some employee benefits through digital rupee in December, helping the Reserve Bank of India meet its target of one million daily transactions by end-2023, three sources directly familiar with the development said.
If that is what they are saying then I don't believe in it, because it is impossible that they reached 1 million transactions mark per day when there is very few vendors that accept it as payment for the entire district so probably as I said they are doing all the transactions for themselves to increase the count but can they make such high numbers even if they do send back and forth for themselves.

it is also possible that they have just lied about it..? but it can be possible because this app is already got downloaded by 500k+ users on play store, that too be only by SBI bank's app.
the users will be huge because many banks have their own app. I don't think it is fake. but who knows.

50  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best Crypto Casinos! on: January 06, 2024, 01:38:47 PM
I had asked their support after seeing that wager requirement page and there is 20%-25% something wager requirement, that is for bonuses.
you can also ask their support they said me that there is no wagering requirement of deposits to be able to withdraw so the info on thread is correct.
I don't know how have you asked about this to their support team, but I got the same information again by asking about the wagering requirement on deposit. There is no wagering requirement on the bonuses like weekly, monthly, rakeback, etc. Stake doesn't offer any deposit bonus directly, some affiliate partner does it which has some kind of wagering requirement. And there is no wagering requirement on the normal deposit (check the support message).

those wagering requirement is for stake bonuses which we get from affiliate signup. or something. I didn't had made account with any affiliate so there is no requirement for my account.
Also I re-asked the same question today, they have wagering requirement of 100% of deposits to be able to withdraw.
also I have updated the info in this thread. thanks.....
51  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best Crypto Casinos! on: January 04, 2024, 05:32:57 PM
BTW, I had provided you some updates a long time ago. You haven't taken any action according to it. Stake has 20% min wagering requirement on the deposited amount to be able to withdraw it.

I had asked their support after seeing that wager requirement page and there is 20%-25% something wager requirement, that is for bonuses.
you can also ask their support they said me that there is no wagering requirement of deposits to be able to withdraw so the info on thread is correct.
also I have added those 2 threads you suggest me on this quoted post to this thread they are on the bottom.

Also analyzing and taking trade on our responsibility will teach us a lesson on every trade, and we will learn practically which we cannot learn by following tips or just copying others analysis.
if the trade goes against us we would take the responsibility and keep that in mind from next time that what was the mistake in this trade.
if we copy others we do not learn anything,  no one is talented enough to predict the market where is headed so they are also speculating and your are too.
53  Local / India / Re: do you want to learn about bitcoin from gary gensler? on: January 04, 2024, 01:34:56 PM
I just watched a few minutes of the first episode and found a coincidence between the first pizza sale on the internet and the first pizza sale in BTC https://youtu.be/EH6vE97qIP4?list=PLUl4u3cNGP63UUkfL0onkxF6MYgVa04Fn&t=482 Kinda like the plan from the beginning. This is if what Gensler is saying is true though.
If you have completed the course, its not so bad to give a review.

I don't know why you would pick him to learn BTC when there is one guy named Andreas Antonopoulos who teaches Bitcoin in a fun way. You can find him on YouTube as well.

I was searching to learn about economy and money so found this playlist on youtube, in this course i can learn some economics and bitcoin too.
economics is not in detail but I watched half episode, gary gensler teaches in engaging way.

I don't know who is Gary Gensler but after Google search I find that he is chairperson of US SEC, so I doubt that he is really going to be on the support side of decentralized payment system but let's see what he actually said if you came up with the summary.
I think he is not against it but teaches about crypto and bitcoin in great way.
54  Local / India / Re: Beware of fake trading apps! on: January 04, 2024, 01:10:12 PM
thanks for letting other users know about this type of scam, I have not seen many cases or  news about this type of scam where people needs to download apps from third part websites.
but also there are lot of scam here on every platform, recently I seen quora post which is ranking for a few days now where the poster give link of a telegram channels and many people are joining that channel.
social media platforms doesn't know that this is a scam or what so government needs to take action against this.
snip
I have seen that three celebrities in one ad, they promote whatever for money.
here is a nice reddit talk: https://www.reddit.com/r/indiasocial/comments/u4xqhh/new_vimal_ad/
this was funny "Bhaisab hero giri foo foo karne me nhi thoo thoo karne me hai" Lol

55  Economy / Gambling / Re: Finding a Bug on: January 04, 2024, 08:08:33 AM
I also had that idea of earning something by reporting bug or mistake on the site.
wasted like some hours finding some page errors, spelling mistakes, more basic stuffs but do not found anything, I was finding basic things
because i didn't have programming or hacking knowledge. also if someone is ethical hacker and found a security bug then they can report it to the casino,

usually you may report a bug and hope to get some short of reward for your white hat action on the matter. However that is strictly voluntary for the site, so no guarantee. Another way to go about it is try to reach a deal with the site, still risky unless you get a third party escrow into the matter. Ideally casinos should have a permanent bug-hunting programme altogether, but... no easy way for this despite looking quite obvious they should.
yes, maybe you waste you entire time and find nothing in the end.
56  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Achieving a goal on: January 04, 2024, 08:03:58 AM
snip

do not set huge goals like 4x - 5x in one year, that too with money you cannot afford to lose,
If you want those big gains then you will need to take high risk and trade which i do not advice anyone, who is new to trading it's proven then not everyone make money in trading.
so do not trade with that money, if I was in your place then i would diversify that capital into various major altcoin and most in bitcoin, eth. and hold for some more years not only for 1 year.

57  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you want to see in casino reviews? on: January 04, 2024, 07:52:14 AM
snip

it's obvious that if casino will play their players or any random people to review their casino then they will write good review of them.
so we cannot trust those review but here on bitcointalk gamblingbro have their website: gamblingbro.com
they have tested mostly reputable casinos by depositing and withdrawing real money/crypto. also there is a review campaign where we get $5 for a review on their site.
there are many reviews are written by BTT users so i think we can trust those review because they didn't written because of pressure, check the thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5382433.0
58  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or keep playing? on: January 04, 2024, 04:27:46 AM
I think its a lot harder when you are really in the actual situation, but if you really have that strong mentality to stop when its necessary is a very great weapon in gambling having it when winning and losing will help you a lot, and all gambler should have that kind of mindset.

if all gamblers will be able to control themselves successfully then all casino will go bankrupt.
they are profitable because of this, that we can not control our mind while losing that is the advantage to the casino after the edge they collect.
yes, it will be best to stop at the right time but it's very hard whole losing our mind completely stops and we start to take higher bets then after losing it all, we think... would had withdrawn.
59  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should mentally unstable people be allowed to gamble? on: January 03, 2024, 04:27:11 PM
i think this makes no sense at all because the attendant said that he behave right and there is no lack of respect or any misbehavior.
they are allowed to gamble if they are not misbehaving with their staff or other people who are playing there like ladies or old people.
I have seen many people who misbehave when they lose it all. those people needs to take action against them not people who like you are mentioning.
60  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Focus on how much you may lose and not only the potential win. on: January 03, 2024, 04:14:58 PM
Yes the person needs to deposit amount which he can afford to lose or thinking that this is already lost money.
it is true that this thinking of winning big and betting more cause people to lose and sometimes lose everything they have.
here a conditions: if he played with 5k then his mind would not work like worked with 1k because of risk and probably the bet will be losing bet in the end.
so size of bet affect our mind to take wrong bets most of the times it happens with me all the times.
