Who else is still all-in on BitcoinDark?  Diversification is for pussies!

If teleport will be able to move BTC from one address to another address without any trace in the blockchain.....

BitcoinDark will be the biggest crypto since Bitcoin.

I don't see how you could transfer BTC between addresses without leaving a trace in the blockchain though.......is it really possible?

BitcoinDark (BTCD)

'nuff said.

All this stuff James is working on sounds like it will take a LLLLLLOOOOOONNNNNGGGGGG time before it is all functional.

Huh, do you really think you can catch up to the 16 hours/day of coding that the genius jl777 is doing for BitcoinDark?

Still waiting on the pubaddr release but I am continuing with some loopback testing of, well now I am not wanting to lose any BTCD into hyperspace during testing so I set up some LTC teleport tests Smiley

Please calm!

If we can achieve BitcoinDark's goals and continue to innovate, I have no doubt BTCD will be the first alt to pass Litecoin's market cap.

Here is the official announcement for it

https://nxtforum.org/assets-board/shortbtcd/

James

This is great! I will check it out tomorrow when it goes on sale. Good job on the IRC channel today. I was reading it live today at work and thought you did a great job with all the inquiries.
Thanks! I didnt expect to be spending the day "promoting" BTCD. I just was explaining how it worked and when they started understanding they seemed to have made some crazy big buys on cryptsy.

I am also engaging the XMR guys in risto's thread. At first they all ignored me, but they are all pretty civilized and the guy who accused me of using a sockpuppet(!), even apologized and said he would help

We need all of crypto to work together to create the best privacy. BTCD is a friend of every other crypto. By making giant supernetwork, everybody gets more privacy, better trades, more bets, etc. Plus I am pretty much deciding that instead of spending the 30% InstantDEX marketing budget on marketing that it will work better as revenue sharing with everyone that makes up the supernetwork. Of course BTCD stakers get the additional percentages and all the other asset's dividends, but it is everyone having much happiness the bigger the supernetwork is and I would rather pay the 30% to the crypto peoples that are paying for the nodes and doing the actual crypto trading, teleporting and betting than on advertising and other marketing stuff.

Though hiring bikini girls could be a good use of funds...
Nope, only if they also ran nodes on the supernetwork.

I see the BTCD spiral logo and envision BTCD at the center and all of crypto swirling around it

James

P.S. I see we have a little tiny troll that appeared. Maybe we can be nice to him now that the price is at .01 Smiley

If we can accomplish all these extremely innovative goals (anon card, supernetwork, Bitcoin teleporting, instant distributed exchange), BitcoinDark will pass Litecoin!

Tonight Price Up to 0.01 BTC Grin Grin Grin

I really think this coin can pass DRK.

There will be a few dumps during the travel and some panic selling, but this coin can get there 100%

We have way less coins in circulation!

I'm about to buy up 4.4 BTC worth of the order book on Bittrex.

If someone else joins me in this mini-pump with ~3 BTC, we should be able to push the price up to a new alltime high of .006

This multisig is really fun. After taking all this time to get working, now I just cant stop trying many combinations. All looking quite stable and very solid, but of course it is using localhost, so no real networking errors.
UDP sometimes is pretty finicky, but that is another advantage of the shared secret multisig. It essentially acts as an error correcting code, well at least as long I dont mix in packets that are corrupted. If even one bit gets changed, it will not match the packet crc and so just get ignored, then the decryption will also fail, so I would say the odds of bad data getting processed is ignorable, even using UDP path.

So, that means based on network error rate, we can set the M of N ratio and no only does the multisig give us a lot more privacy, it makes Teleport more reliable. Just imagine 100 rabbits being teleported and if only 40 survive, then the real rabbit can be recreated. That is M of 40, N of 100.

I dont think there is any other crypto that has up to 254 multisig and it is all configurable each time you do a teleport:

{"requestType":"teleport","secret":"","dest":"RUHAPSpJDHeFgFd1J34WHJ69TpkMBsWtBt","amount":".1","coin":"BTCD","minage":"1","M":"128","N":"254"}

The above is the JSON text my code looks for when doing a teleport. The "dest" is the public address and that is something you need to know somehow via different channel. "amount" is the amount of "coin", in this case 0.1 BTCD. "minage" is the youngest telepod you authorize to be used. Remember, the younger the telepod, the higher the attacker's chances of getting some statistical correlation. I would certainly not recommend minage of 1! Then there are the "M" and "N" fields, which are the multisig M of N and that's it. So you can control the teleport's most important parameters, of course we need to get a GUI so you dont have to be editing JSON, but I hope you can understand the basics of using Teleport.

I think I will skip the local encryption and go straight to a linkable library. I want to do some testnet teleports sooner rather than later! Since it is testnet, it wont matter if the telepod file format changes and I cant really test the third onion layer. OK, you convinced me, time to port into BTCD core.

James

Sounds good man. I assume we are starting beta tests when porting to BTCD core is completed and working or are you going to do more testing before beta?
I will make libjl777 over the next couple days, BTCDdev will put in the calls to interface to it and hopefully this weekend we can be testing basic teleport on testnet. Keep in mind GUI status is still "not sure when it will be available", but those that can edit the basic teleport JSON should be able to test.
Then I add stuff like encrypting the telepods so even if your computer gets stolen they cant do anything with the telepods. I havent done much with tx reporting and error handling, I plan to do that while the basics are being tested.

Then I will fix the bugs as they are found and keep making releases until it has all the features needed and there are no significant bugs. It feels like a couple weeks to get there as now that I got the multisig to work (that was the trickiest), the rest is more detail work. Important, but not so difficult. Most things dont take me a full day to debug.

Ideally I can get back to pushing forward on InstantDEX before the end of month and that would mean I am just making the occasional bug fix to Teleport

believe me I am the worst trader ever.
I wanted to buy btcd when LTC-BTC was 120. I changed today at 99, and bought btcd at 489 and now it's 430 Cheesy

Belive me you are not the worst trader. I bought at 16k, 32k,56k and 112k and sold everytime with 10k win.   Roll Eyes

But still hodling this coin and buy some more when price is a little bit lower for short periods. This coin will be stable between 0.01-0.05 btc without problems. So short time traders will also have the chance to be winning long time investors.

Nutzfleisch is right, make sure you have a fat sack of BitcoinDark for the win.

The current logo on coinmarketcap.com matches the nxt logo.  I'm guessing the swirl is meant to represent the teleport function.

I like both the old and new BitcoinDark logo's.

It's a tough call.

I don't seet how this:

looks like this:

I was referring to the new BitcoinDark logo on coinmarketcap.com when I said it matches the nxt logo:

Hey guys!  I am a very versatile designer whom is currently working with the marketing team, helping to rebrand BitcoinDark. It's gonna be awesome when we are complete be on the lookout, here is a little taste so far (twitter link below). Much more to come! I've also included my other work below. Contact me if you need a coin logo. Donate if you love good design! Thank you so much, cheers!  Cheesy

I dont see the new logo yet on coinmarketcap.com. I also think I prefer the current logo. I mean, yours looks good, with the space background and all, but the logo itself It really hasnt much to do with BitcoinDark. It could just be a logo of some random coffeeshop for example. I think you should try to improve the current logo.  But thats just my opinion.  Smiley

Edit: I didnt see the sub-albums, this looks more like it

It seems that AES totally winning the poll, so I think it is safe to default to that method.
You can always change it to any of the others and even do one after another after another.

So, now I want to do a new poll. Not sure if you know about BCNext and how he injected some flaws into the NXT code. People that just forked it would end up with a dead coin within a day. Since I am being very open to share Teleport tech with other coins for a small fee, I dont think it is so bad to do what BCNext did.

I came up with a way make it so that if anybody just blindly forks it, well, I wont be held responsible where their telepods end up. Now if they took the time to understand the 40,000 lines of code I wrote, then they could probably work around it, but I could get pretty clever in making the flaw virtually impossible to detect. They would have to be as good a coder as me to detect it. I call this the "teleport disruptor"

I would like a poll on whether to inject the teleport disruptor or not. Of course the BTCD Teleport will work fine, it would just be any other coin that attempts to take the BTCD's rightful spot as supreme teleporter of other coins, well you've seen the results of transporter accidents? Not a pretty thing. The scary thing for any that would attempt to do this is that it would appear to work fine for a while, so it probably wont happen during testing, but after they go live. Maybe it is even remotely triggered

They could just write something from scratch using the DarkPaper as reference.
Or they could just let BTCD teleport their coin for 1/1024'th fee

What do you think?

James

P.S. I wouldnt feel right in actually pushing the destruct button, so if we do this, I need some ruthless guy who wouldnt have a problem triggering the teleport disruptor on another coin.
