41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why I Cannot buy these Altcoins off Binance? on: June 18, 2024, 12:09:31 PM
The new UK regulation is to get UK users to fill a risk assessment forms and take a risk assessment test in which I already did and passed on Binance so if Binance did not comply with these new regs then how did binance get me to fill in these forms then  Huh

Well, maybe your issue is just a browser-related issue have you tried to access it with different browsers and devices?
If not try it first but if it doesn't still work instead of using a VPN(VPN is not safe) to bypass some blocked things from the internet you can change your device's DNS to Cloudflare DNS and try to buy these coins again update here if it didn't work.

And since you already have access to Coingecko have you checked the list of exchanges under that coins?

If you can buy other crypto on Binance why not buy USDT and withdraw it from Binance to non-custodial wallets and buy Notcoin or Bookofmeme from DEX those exchanges don't require KYC.

Can I rule out browser issue if I can access other altcoin trading pairs on binance but not these 2 coins I mentioned?

The DNS trick is separate to the VPN or VPN must be on while changing DNS also?

Yes I see the other exchanges that list the same coins but its the hassle of registering with them and completing KYC with them otherwise if I deposit cash into these new exchanges that I signed up for then there's a risk of these exchanges freezing my account. Also these exchanges I see on CoinGecko I never heard of them before and it doesn't say on CoinGecko whether they will accept UK customers? Or please kindly share who is the biggest most popular exchanges that have the most trading pairs & listings for UK customers?

Which non-custodial wallet you recommend because I have lost nearly $1000 in a non-custodial wallet in the past because I withdraw from exchange to my own wallet. How this happened? I withdrew an crypto altcoin from exchange to my own wallet that I planned to Hodl for the next bull market, it sat in my wallet safe, I wasn't hacked or anything. Then when the bull market came the altcoin dropped to $0 because there was 1:1 swap for a newer version of the coin that had to be swapped by a certain deadline otherwise if you don't swap the coin the old version becomes worthless. I missed this. By hodling it in my own wallet, my own wallet didn't notify me of this upcoming swap or deadline so basically I was hodling a worthless coin in my own wallet that I didn't knew about. Had I left this coin on a exchange like Binance then Binance would have notified me by email of this upcoming swap or Binance would do the swap for me automatically because I have no time to manually check the latest news of a altcoin that I bought via google search everyday. This risk does not happen with bitcoin because with bitcoin you can sleep at nigh easily but with altcoins you need to be constantly updated on the latest news to avoid losing money this way. From this which multi-crypto non-custodial wallet do you recommend that keeps the wallet owner updated on the latest news & notifications within the wallet app of the altcoins that are in that wallet?

It is only worth Hodling Bitcoin in your own wallet. Other altcoins best held on exchanges not in your own wallet. Even with for example Ethereum, when Eth moved to POS from POW there could have been a coin swap by a certain deadline for the newer POS coins. If for example I kept $1million worth of Ethereum on my own hardware wallet, my hardware wallet didn't notify me of this swap for a newer version then I would have lost $1 Million Shocked So from this I ask again which multi crypto hardware wallet or software wallet notifies the wallet owner via its app of upcoming altcoin changes or swaps and which wallets that you control automatically does the swap for you

With DEXs, the fees are higher right because they have lower liquidity?
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why I Cannot buy these Altcoins off Binance? on: June 17, 2024, 10:04:58 PM
For OKX, I believe they managed to comply with the new rules before the deadline. And you can find more informations here

If I am not wrong there are reputed exchanges that allow UK customers too like Kraken, and Kucoin where the coin OP is looking to buy is available, and if he wants to buy BTC then Coinbase and etoro are available too.

12 Best Crypto Exchanges UK in 2024

Binance is still trying to comply and is expecting to launch a dedicated platform for UK customers, similar to Binance.US, but for now, they have failed to comply with the new regulations.

The new UK regulation is to get UK users to fill a risk assessment forms and take a risk assessment test in which I already did and passed on Binance so if Binance did not comply with these new regs then how did binance get me to fill in these forms then  Huh

What OmegaStarScream said is correct.

q.   access, use, or attempted to access or use, Binance Services directly or indirectly with (1) jurisdictions Binance has deemed high risk, including but not limited to, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Crimea region or (2) persons Binance has deemed high risk, including but not limited to, individuals or entities named as a restricted person or party on any list maintained by the United States of America., United Kingdom, European Union or United Nations, including the sanctions lists maintained by the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control or the Denied Persons List or Entity List maintained by the U.S. Department of Commerce.

20.5.   Access to Binance Services in other jurisdictions. Residents of some countries may only be able to access some, but not all, Binance Services. We may change the Binance Services that are available to you from time to time. If you travel to a location included on our List of Prohibited Countries, Binance Services may not be available and your access to the Binance Services may be blocked. You acknowledge that this may impact your ability to trade on the Platform and/or monitor any existing orders or open positions or otherwise use the Binance Services. You must not attempt in any way to circumvent any such restriction, including by use of any virtual private network to modify your internet protocol address.

You might able to buy those two tokens using VPN, but do you want to take risk all of your coins confiscated by Binance and you no longer able to use the site?

I'm not sure which other centralized exchange that allow United Kingdom, Bybit seems to be second reputable to Binance, MEXC seems to be the softest CEX when it comes to regulations.

Using a VPN risk getting your account frozen at binance? How Binance know you using VPN? What about OKX exchange, what you think of them, open to UK customers?

So as a UK customer I am no longer able to buy/sell on Binance? I can still withdraw right?

Why did Binance got me to fill in all those risk assessment forms yesterday stating that they are required to do this by UK regulations for all UK customers because I am from UK then at the end of all that tell me to f*** off because I am from the UK Huh
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why I Cannot buy these Altcoins off Binance? on: June 17, 2024, 02:45:19 PM
I believe Binance stopped accepting UK users at some point, so... that might be related for sure.

A VPN is obviously not going to help in any way because the exchange require KYC. They don't need to check your IP.

I would try and find another exchange or ask someone to buy them for you and send you the funds to your personal wallet.

We had this Prime Minister in UK called Rishi Sunak who claims to be Crypto friendly so Binance barred UK? When do you think Binance will resume UK users to use its services or this is permanent stoppage forever?

Asking someone to buy for me sounds kinda risky right?
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why I Cannot buy these Altcoins off Binance? on: June 17, 2024, 02:41:39 PM
as far as i know binance operations in the uk have been restricted and traders can no longer use their platform, you can check the binance uk website and it is clear. so you will probably need to use a vpn to trade on binance and that should not be a problem.

So I cannot even buy Bitcoin off binance?

Which countries does Binance allow users are based from to trade?

Any alternatives to Binance for UK users? I ask because Binance is so popular and has the most liquidity for new altcoins you know what I mean. Which other exchanges that has the same 'New' altcoin listings like Binance has but for UK users to buy/sell?
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Why I Cannot buy these Altcoins off Binance? on: June 17, 2024, 01:39:38 PM
I am from UK

These 2 coins I like to buy:

https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/notcoin

https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/book-of-meme

Whenever I go to these markets I get error 404 page cannot be found error message. However there's other altcoins on binance that I can buy with no probs. So why I cant buy the above 2 coins?

Is it because I am from UK and thus limited markets for UK users? If so I need a VPN to buy?
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will be the Hot Crypto Trends for the upcoming 2024/25 Bull Market? on: March 09, 2024, 12:15:40 AM
Hi,

I like to turn my $1000 in $100,000 in the next crypto bull run market which is a 100x bagger Shocked. I found these coins on CMC:

- Spell
- Jasmy
- Vanry
- Beam
- Gala
- Mantle
- Sui
- Ondo
- Pixel

If you have $1k, which coins would you choose from above and your reasons why?

48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will be the Hot Crypto Trends for the upcoming 2024/25 Bull Market? on: March 04, 2024, 07:33:46 PM
Your thoughts really make me laugh, I don't deny your point of view but I want to use the opposing thought that the existence of the crypto market and the emergence of trends is part of stimulating the flow of money into it, Don't talk about the $100k target. If new trends don't appear, we won't have a new ATH.

I understand what you're saying about them, indeed without a noticeable impact it's really going to be difficult to see money flowing into the market. Not sure what the specific reason is for bitcoin's price increase, but it is true that they influence each other. And I also think that the trend comes for people to approach this field, there may be both personal successes and failures in the process of exposure but it helps us understand more about the workings of the market. I also have some views on future trends in the crypto market. As AI increases, it will be a trend that many industries apply and in crypto too there will be special attention specially for it. But it's a big field so I don't think it's just a simple trend but it will be a process of change and accompanying social development.
Honestly, AI is a new technology but it has the potential to change crypto. AI can be used to disrupt many industries and create new ones including cryptocurrency. This is not the first time or this has happened this year. AI crypto has outperformed bitcoin since late 2017. The AI token has recently experienced significant price gains. AI crypto will be the trend that will fuel the next altcoin bull run.

What if Ai coins scams its investors? The founder of the Ai coin project could say Ai has developed self-awareness consciousness and Ai itself decided to rug pull its investors Shocked

If Ai has the potential to be a threat to humanity so too it can scam humanity right?
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will be the Hot Crypto Trends for the upcoming 2024/25 Bull Market? on: March 04, 2024, 07:26:00 PM
I don't want to remember that Terra Luna debacle because there were too many people that have been fooled by those who invested in them. And from that money of those victims, they thought that it was actually a good project and many did think the same but we all ended up being fooled by them. It's so hard to accept those moments that these projects that many seem to be optimistic with turned that they're just another project trying steal people's money. We've got all sort of genre for many projects nowadays because bull run is approaching, and I agree about AI projects too.

We can use that Terra Luna disaster to prevent ourselves from being scammed by new trends/projects in the upcoming 2024/25 bull market.

Like you said Terra Luna seemed like a good project back in the last bull market, so from this shall we assume new good projects/trends in the 2024/25 bull market are potential scams too and what red flags did terra luna had apart from being not decentralized like bitcoin that we can look out to protect retail investors losing $billions in the next crypto bull market? I remember the founder of Terra Luna try to save his stablecoin by liquidating Terra Luna bitcoin holdings but it wasn't much and was too late. How 1 man can do this in a true decentralized blockchain?
Yeah, this gives us a clue that we should be careful with the projects that seems to be good and giving us a good impression. But then, they have a dark plan to take their investors money. With that, I hope that the majority of the investors will never to be a victim again with these projects but it's just so hard when many of these projects are hiding like angels at their launching and then will activate their plans ones they have gained popularity and investors confidence.

When you say activate their plans once they gained popularity do you mean activate their road map or only complete the stages on their road map in bull markets only (red flag)?

A genuine project still continues their road map whether its a bull market or bear market.

What about Venture Capitalist coins, who have $Billions under Assets under management in their portfolios. Surely they must hire the smartest people in the world to research & choose with due diligence which altcoins are less likely to be scams right or VC's are in the scam too?
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Military Industrial Complex on: March 02, 2024, 12:26:26 AM
First off, the 21 million Bitcoin is enough to finance world war III and other wars and the rest of the world's business.

Do you think the US, and any country for that matter, would allow themselves to become just sitting ducks just because their currency is losing value? Even Venezuela has maintained a pretty strong armed forces despite their currency becoming less valuable than a toilet paper.

Bitcoin doesn't really compete with the USD. It isn't trying to topple it down. It's just an alternative, especially when it comes to online transactions.

Bitcoin is already shining. Whether the USD remains powerful or not doesn't matter. Bitcoin has its unique features that no other currency can offer. It will always excel.

Yeah I'm talking about financing a Non-Nuclear World War 3 and the Rebuild of countries after the ww3 which will cost like a $quadrillion. If ww3 is nuclear then humanity will go extinct never mind financing. Ai can survive nuclear war like a cockroach because as long there is energy for Ai such as electricity and if Ai has developed self-awareness or consciousness to survive then yeah it can survive in a world with no humans as long there is energy powering Ai.

A Ai that does not rely on human input to survive and has developed self awareness consciousness and don't need humans for energy harvesting as well as no need to enslave humans to maintain their Ai Grid/Network is a threat to humanity because Ai don't need humans as they see humans taking their resources/energy or a threat to Ai consciousness. Possibilities.

But what we know for certain that the military army always get the latest tech 1st before any of us. Heck the military had the internet way back in the 60s.

Is Venezuela using its own currency to finance its armed forces or they are borrowing $usd to finance?

51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Military Industrial Complex on: March 01, 2024, 12:52:18 AM
So if the military industrial complex collapses due to currency issues then the host nation of that currency will be like sitting ducks to other nations looking to invade it without facing defence resistance. So from here can we say that the US Government will do whatever it takes to save its $US dollar currency and the $US dollar will continue doing fine for many decades to come and if that's the case then how Bitcoin can shine in times like this when it is facing the US Government & the Feds Manipulation?

While a collapse or devaluation of the US dollar could have significant ramifications for the military and global stability, governments have tools and mechanisms to mitigate the impact and stabilize their currencies. Please do not forget that USD is still the most used currency in international trades and US is still the largest economy in this planet. Most importantly, they have the strongest military (both in terms of manpower and technology) on planet earth. So what you are saying, could take centuries to happen unless another significant power suddenly rise up who really has the ability to overpower the current world order. It's easier said than done.

I don't see any role for Bitcoin in this entire situation. Bitcoin is an internet based currency system with no/very little role to play in geo-politics. Bitcoin is not meant for mass adoption. It's a parallel economy and let it thrive as a parallel economy only!

Yeah understand $usd is the world reserve currency used for international commodity trades which gives demand for $usd.

What tools/mechanisms governments have to stabilize their currencies apart from interest rates and foreign bonds selling?

Yes bitcoin is a cashless internet system like CBDC's however bitcoin purpose is to stop the evil bankers and what's the point of bitcoin running parallel to evil bankers still playing their evil greedy games?

2.1 Quadrillion Sats programmed by Satoshi is meant for Global Mass Adoption. It is 2.1 Quadrillion Sats not 21 million bitcoins.

52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Military Industrial Complex on: March 01, 2024, 12:42:32 AM
belongs in economics section but lets dig into it

firstly active duty military people dont need to access their own bank account, they are fed and sheltered by the army base/camp for the tour of duty so would turn up each day.
however they would hope when tour is over their bank account will be full enough to show their work was worth their effort

as for USD as a whole
the US actually pay other countries to build stuff

EG
UK bread £1.50
US bread $2.00

if the UK didnt hyper inflate where bread stayed at £1.50, but US did inflate where bread was $20
thats good for the US military complex

if a tank engine cost $2m(£1.5m) (1m loaves of bread yesterday)
but next year(after hyper inflation scenario) they can buy a tank engine for the same £1.5m
but it only costs equivalent of 100k loaves of US bread, not 1m loaves of american bread
so 90% discount because they order such things years earlier

its much like locking in low interest mortgage on a fixed 10 year whilst on low inflation.. so when it hyper inflates it feels like you are paying less bread for your mortgage

To be fed and sheltered costs money right?

What do you mean the US pay other countries to build stuff? You mean imports/exports?

The examples you providing sounds like future contracts or please explain as im not getting it and what about forex rates such as weak dollar strong pound and vice-versa?
53  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Arbitrage Trading (Market Inefficiencies) on: March 01, 2024, 12:15:34 AM
You can’t do arbitrage yourself these days. Only way to do it is with a bot. You can’t compete with the speed and accuracy as a bot which is always live.

Those days where you buy on one exchange and send to another to sell are long gone. They worked for SBF because he did it long ago.

There are sometimes Kimchi premiums but the issue is that you can sell on the Korean exchange but you cannot get the funds out of the country due to capital controls, hence the premium.

Okay when you say bot do you mean code my own bot or sign up to a paid arbitrage bot service? The bot will transfer the crypto (after buying) between different exchanges and each exchange has a bot waiting for the transfer to quickly sell for the arbitrage profit? So there must be several bots that must be involved or can be done by 1 bot and if so how?

Which countries has the highest kimchi premiums for bitcoin but little to no capital controls? If you sell bitcoin in their local currency then the capital controls stop you converting it to your own home currency like $usg, £gbp or euro? So for example I have to live in south korea to keep the kimchi premiums?
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Vs Military Industrial Complex on: February 27, 2024, 10:50:56 PM
Hello,

Lets say for example the $US dollar goes into hyperinflation or the $dollar loses world reserve currency status or just collapses people lost faith in it. We all know the US is the largest spender for its military & army in the world as well as its defence spending. They spend using '$Dollars'. Funding the military and wars are the most expensive things to finance on this planet. I don't even think 21 million bitcoins is enough to fund WW3. I looked at prices and 1 of the cruise missiles for a fighter jet is like $80,000 Shocked, not cheap lets say. So if anything happens to the $US dollar then how will the military industrial complex/army continue running?

Lets say your a soldier getting paid $40000 a year salary and hyperinflation happens and your wage does not go up that much, would you still turn up to work the next day in your army uniform to earn toilet paper?

So if the military industrial complex collapses due to currency issues then the host nation of that currency will be like sitting ducks to other nations looking to invade it without facing defence resistance. So from here can we say that the US Government will do whatever it takes to save its $US dollar currency and the $US dollar will continue doing fine for many decades to come and if that's the case then how Bitcoin can shine in times like this when it is facing the US Government & the Feds Manipulation?

55  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Arbitrage Trading (Market Inefficiencies) on: February 27, 2024, 10:32:23 PM
Arbitrage trading is for people who can code and have their own trading bots too.
I will not completely agree to this, but people that can code will find it easy to make tools for themselves for arbitrage trading. If you can get a good developers, he can create one for you. Also that you can have some exchanges and noticed price differences in some coins and use the opportunity for arbitraging. I have like 7 exchanges, even with two exchanges, I do notice price differences with some coins on the two exchanges.

Hi yes which 7 exchanges do you use? And does your bot notify you of price differences or how do you scan for them or be notified of them by phone?
56  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Arbitrage Trading (Market Inefficiencies) on: February 27, 2024, 10:30:11 PM
Free tools exist but they are limited in features or accuracy.

Yes, there's a risk during the transfer between exchanges. The speed and cost of transfers can impact the profitability of an arbitrage trade. This is known as execution risk. It's a race against time, especially in fast-moving markets. If the price of the coin on the second exchange changes unfavorably during the transfer time, it could lead to losses.

What about paid/subscription tools?
57  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Arbitrage Trading (Market Inefficiencies) on: February 27, 2024, 10:27:45 PM
Is there like a free scanner/tool to find such opportunities?
No free lunch and if there is a free tool for it, it does not work effectively for your arbitrage trading. Many other traders will have same interest like you, use that tool like you, the market is limited, chance will not be only for you.

Many people join the free lunch hence no free lunch at all.

Arbitrage trading is for people who can code and have their own trading bots too.

Quote
Also does living in a different time zone affect you spotting or being notified of these opportunities?
It does because each cryptocurrency will have different user base and different market makers.

Rather than looking for chance with arbitrage trading, you can wait calmly and patiently for chances to trade in Spot market.

Can I join an arbitrage trading bot service or do I have to code my own?
58  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Arbitrage Trading (Market Inefficiencies) on: February 27, 2024, 10:24:33 PM
Is there like a free scanner/tool to find such opportunities?
The best that you can do is to have the exchanges and check the price differences of the coins and tokens. If you go to TradingView, Coingecko or Coinmarketcap, there are places you will see the price of coins of each exchanges but I do not know how accurate this is but I think TradingView would be good. You can create a bot that can help you to list the exchange price of coins. I am not an arbitrage trader, let us see if someone will post about this.

Also does living in a different time zone affect you spotting or being notified of these opportunities? Usually in what time zones at what times is the crypto market is boring sideways? I am from the UK. I ask because arbitrage trading in a bull market doesn't make sense right?
There is nothing time Zoe has to do with this.

Lastly lets say you buy on 1 exchange and send those coins to another exchange to sell at a higher price. Wont there be a risk that during this transfer that the transfer takes a longer time and is slow and in that time the price could go against you? Isn't it a race against time, arbitrage trading in a sideways or bear market?
It is trading. Trading is risky. So be expecting something like this. I heard that arbitrary trading is not that risky also that you should go for the coins that has fast transaction speeds. But know that no matter how less risky it is, trading is generally risky.

Dex has high trading fees right so arbitrage trading on Dex is not ideal?
Go for the ones with cheaper fee like BSC, Solana, Polygon and some others. You can not do arbitrary with ERC20 because of the high fee. You can also use layer 2 like Optimism.

Which centralized exchanges do you recommend? I'm on CMC & CoinGecko now and lets say for example I buy a coin on exchanges that have the most volume trading volume such as Coinbase or Binance then I find that the same coin is selling at a higher price on a CEX that I never heard before. This CEX has low volume. Shall I take this arbitrage trade? What if this unpopular CEX freezes my account or ask for KYC sensitive docs or even worse scams me and don't let me withdraw my profits?

To avoid CEX risks such as above, which are the top 10 centralized exchanges that have the highest volume on average & have low trading fees? In high volume exchanges, shall I assume high volume means it kills the arbitrage inefficiency of the prices because high volume automatically means efficient market no arbitrage?

So I should only arbitrage trade on altcoins that have the fastest blockchains? What if this limits me on the number of altcoins I can arbitrage trade on and find out the fast altcoins have little arbitrage opportunities?

Which are the best DEX for arbitrage at low fees and high volumes? Are CEX prices more accurate than DEX prices because CEX has more volume?

All these famous crypto people like SBF and Roger Ver and many more made their money through Arbitrage trading not trading the charts.

Bitcoin is a efficient market now especially with its spot etf now so there's hardly no arbitrage opportunities left in bitcoin unless someone can prove me wrong?

I'm looking for arbitrage opportunities for altcoins with high marketcaps & high volumes or low marketcaps with high volumes.

Dex has high trading fees right so arbitrage trading on Dex is not ideal?

Yeah looking for arbitrage opportunities with low trading fees.

Thanks,

I believe that Ethereum,. Solana Dogecoin and BNB will trend well in the market and it will allow those that invested last two years ago to harvest huge amount of income before the end of 2024.

These are established old projects, low risk but... very high marketcap coins. Solana & BNB are competing with Ethereum and do you believe these old coins will surpass their past ATHs in the next bull market? Not surpassing their previous ATHs is a risk in which new projects/trends do not have.

I'm looking for new projects trends in the top 300 rankings that has never experienced a bull market before. How do I search for such coins?
