41  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dream became real with actions on: April 10, 2024, 01:12:38 PM
You can start today and still have a dream come true.
Most people believe it's too late to start because of the age difference, without understanding how life works. They are afraid of failing and being unfortunate at it.
To conquer fear is the greatest thing to do.
Some get their dream job in their 20s while others are in their 30s, and there are still people yet to start. Your goal is everything that should matter most to you. You should ask yourself, Which direction will stimulate my creativity? Stretch my skills, employ my hands, and also give me a chance to explore to reach my greater goals. With this, you can develop yourself, which is beneficial to others.
No time is too late to start, and you might not even fail when you start.
42  Other / Politics & Society / [Discussion] Family decision towards kids upbringing. on: April 10, 2024, 10:42:16 AM
In regards to how society has made women believe they are more supportive of their men and work to be productive financially,.
I believe women should be at least 70% involved in the grooming of kids.
At least their work should be regulated to give the kids more space.
Maybe working at home will add to the office work. Men should also create time for the kids, but basically, women should be available.

I came across some wealthy homes when both parents were running this productive financial race to give the kids the best life. In this process, they do not have the attention of the kids as much as they should, and kids grow up with different nannies that has different impact and this impact is usually negative hence such a kid might end up being corrupt.
43  Other / Politics & Society / Re: why would someone think of suicide? on: April 10, 2024, 10:14:31 AM
The consequences of what they have done, which they believe no one should know about, could make them consider suicide to die with the secret.
It might not really be the economy.
Some people are afraid of what comes next and how to face it.
In the case of the economy, it's hopeless.
Some losses can actually make one think of ending it all; the question in their heads is often, Where do I start from? When am I going to get here? Who will pay off the bills until they do? How do I explain it to the people so they will understand?
Knowing too well how they struggled to get to that position.
Just to be on the safer side, then suicide comes in.
But being able to withstand it all could save a lot.
Surrounding yourself with people who see life in a suicide or judgmental way could curse you a lot.
The truth is, suicide is not best for anyone. Try to rethink, and you can start again and even make it easier.
44  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: April 10, 2024, 08:42:09 AM
Gambling every day is unknown; getting into addiction. And it's unhealthy.
It might give you a chance of winning, but there's no guarantee either.
If you could at least ask your friend to checkmate the number of losses to his wins, then he might rethink and stop daily gambling.
Most of them do not even enjoy the money they win because it's another day to gamble again.
Sure, pressure is bad, as it could lead to the unseen and get worse.
Most gamblers do not really gamble every day, and they are not ready to tell you that. They keep promoting the gambling world.
They gamble most of the time, which is the best prediction, and not with that #100 you used to win $2 million.
And when they win, they show you what you need to see.
Gambling is not a short cut to being wealthy in life, but you could be lucky, though.
Get something beneficial to do.
45  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: POWER OF CORRUPTION on: April 10, 2024, 07:20:57 AM
Regardless of how the political system works and how everyone is fighting for corruption,.
There are still people who are planning on doing worse when they get the position.
Their inner mindset is being hidden.
Before some people's crave for these positions, they already have their plans well fixed, awaiting the switch.
Another is how some people who don't really have stranded self-esteem have been controlled by their type of leadership in the name of God-father, making them all look corrupt, and when they try to change this, they appear to be the bad egg and tittle a betrayer. And some might be afraid of this and just keep up with their master's game.
Corruption continues.
But to fight this, we need to support the ones making the right decision, regardless of how we fight. Also, we need a well-determined person with strong self-esteem who stands their ground at all points in making a beneficial decision for the people.
46  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Does power really corrupt? on: April 05, 2024, 03:16:00 PM
I believe power can change people and make them act differently. When someone gets lots of this power and starts prioritizing their personal interests instead of the wellness of others, it's said to have a negative impact on the individual.
Most times, power can make people forget the first reason for their position and their promises to others. Making them more arrogant, controlling, and manipulative toward others. Absolutely, it can also have positive effects on people. Give individuals the ability to make positive changes, influence others in a better way,and also create meaningful impact in their communities.
Power can bring out the worst in an individual and also the positive, but it all depends on the individual and how it's been used. But all in all, it's best you put the interests of the people ahead.
47  Other / Politics & Society / Re: the point of having high IQ? on: April 05, 2024, 02:50:17 PM
I believe a high IQ is beneficial academically and outside of school (in real life).
It makes you stand out in a very smart way.
Most people with high IQs have more opportunities than others, have been able to fix up difficult taxes, and have found solutions.
But it doesn't really make one a better person. IQ works differently, academically, based on a career, or in other aspects of life.
But it brings a relevant and outstanding performance to a person.
Your ability to think fast and come up with a solution gives you an 85% guarantee in an interview, which may get you the job, because most companies are ready to hire you for your smartness.
48  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does the game of luck in gambling really works? on: April 05, 2024, 02:10:49 PM
I believe gambling is a game of luck, and it could just be a mere coincidence.
I believe it wasn't the first time your friend was gambling in your presence, but this could be his lucky day.
Most gamblers use smart prediction, which gives them the benefit of winning.
I have come across a guy who, for the first time, played a game and won it all. He was just lucky.
When I was a child, I remember having a dream where someone gave me a code, and when I woke up, I gave the code to my dad. He played it and won a lot of money, but I believe he was just lucky to arrange the code in a way that benefited him.
The code wasn't even arranged in my dream, but my dad arranged it in his best way.
How was I sure he was just lucky, despite the fact that he believes my luck shines for him, like I was a gracious child to him?
My older sister has given him a code like this, but it never worked like mine. So how sure was it that it was grace? Africans believe in some omens that even make them excited.

50  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am i bad to this friend if i refuse to loan him some money in bad economy on: March 19, 2024, 01:54:06 PM
It's a good idea to invest in bitcoins before buying clothes, but you should also remember to get stuff that makes you look good. Investing is good, and I also believe in not putting all my eggs in one basket. You can do different things that give you more in return.

About you helping your friend who used his money for Christmas clothes and shoes; it's not bad to get that stuff too. But if you have the money, I will advise you to help him out. But give what you can easily let go of.
It's not okay to judge people because we all have different priorities.
Always feel happy to know you're helping people, and the rewards will come back for you. You can also advise them on how to make more money without lavishing it on things.
51  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: March 17, 2024, 12:02:19 PM
There's this friend of mine who was into gambling. This guy was introduced to betting and got addicted to it for years, and at this level he has gone into virtual games. At some point, he could use all his money, borrow from others, and even use the one given to him by someone for important stuff. This went a long way for him, and his life was becoming miserable as time went on. But with the help of some punishment , self discipline and prayers, he was able to reduce it. And today he doesn't do virtual games. In all this, I noticed that there's this confidence he has that he will hit it big, if not today but one big day, and he will stop it with the money he will hit.
My question was, When is this big day? Yes, you might be lucky one day, but when is that? Is there a guarantee for it? How long will you continue to do this for the big day? It's better to stop today than regret it.
The story about your friend sounds like he was deeply addicted to gambling. Gambling destroys deeply addicted people financially as evidenced by your friend. Gambling is a very attractive thing that if used for a long time a person becomes very vulnerable to it. And at that time they start taking various wrong decisions like exceeding the gambling limit, taking loans and gambling despite having no money in their pocket etc. Because of this, it is better to keep yourself under control and play limited gambling
It's unfortunate for some people because they regret it later. My friend would regret it each time he's in trouble and promise never to go back to it. But unfortunately, he will go back to it. It continues that way for a year. He doesn't steal; he doesn't smoke, not even to use his money for nice clothes, but to gamble. There was a time he went to learn some skills, and he was also loved by the boss, but gambling addiction destroyed their closeness, and he was sent away by the boss. Addicted is the worst thing that can happen to someone. Even in medicine, lots of this guy's start taking tramadol or other hard drugs just for the first satisfaction or just to know how it feels, but at some point they like the first feeling and try one, two, or more, and their body starts requesting it. Addiction has just started without their knowledge. It takes lots of work to fix yourself at this point.

53  Economy / Economics / Re: Early exposure of children to wealth and investments on: March 14, 2024, 10:32:29 PM
Early exposure of children to wealth and investments:

It's good to introduce your kids to your business at least at teenage stage. Introducing them to your work and exposing them to wealth early , before they get to adulthood, your already sure your business will be secured with them.In this you have to make sure you give them all the details as they keep growing.
Exposing them will help them grow in to a very useful being, letting them know about the advantage of working hard so they won't believe you made those money very early and might lavish it.
Also making sure you know which of your kids will have the interest to continue with it, so you can focus on teaching the child more.

Allow them fix some work for themselves while trying to know their abilities and how to handle some difficult time.
Always come up with some tax on their free days introducing them to fast reasoning and getting more ideas that will help them get interested in the business.
54  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling mistake repeated by the gamblers on: March 14, 2024, 10:08:33 PM
The gamblers believe in what they call "lucky days." They believe there is no harm in trying, and in 10 games they will definitely have one win that conquers all their losses, so they keep trying and, in the process, might even lose all.

Most of them believe in the stories they read online, which made them believe in winning without considering the loss. If these people put this energy into investment, I believe they will do better, but the issue is that they often lack patience, and they always want it to be effortless.

Many people associate gambling with easy money because of too intrusive advertising, which most often show how the next lucky one pulls off a big score. To everyone's regret to break the big score succeeds only a small percentage of gamblers.

Gambling is primarily entertainment that can tickle the nerves of a gambler because of the fact that such a game carries a fairly high risk.

About patience I completely agree with you. Ability to wait is one of the qualities that can help make money, but it is unlikely to apply to gambling, because the game session is strictly limited by time limits.

56  Economy / Economics / Re: A course worth studying ? on: March 13, 2024, 02:39:34 AM
To me, all courses are worth studying; it depends on the individual and their passion. Since I was growing up, I have always had a relative sense of humility and a caring passion.
But my family loves law for me, and as time goes on, I discover I was made for the health practitioner world, so I went into nursing. Economics is a good one, but everyone can't go into it.
We all need all the courses to come up with ideas to make a living. So I believe it's better to go for passion so you won't struggle in school and not practice your field.
57  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe in savings or investment on: March 13, 2024, 02:02:39 AM
I would say it's a lack of patience and ignorance, because investing would take a long period of time before it gets really matured , this people believe they won't be able to wait till that time and in investing safety might not really be guaranteed.

While others believe they might die off and family might not be able to sustain there investment.

While in savings, they have a safety guarantee , so most likely save than invest.

But in all investing  has the higher return.

Thank you all for the fast reply, pointing me to the right direction, that here is not a medical forum but a crypto related forum. I also understand the reason why things related to medicals are not discussed, because such topic should be specifically taken to the health practitioners for proper cares.

Well I'm also here to learn more about crypto.
59  Other / Off-topic / Is there a place for medical discuss? on: March 12, 2024, 11:49:48 PM
Hello everyone,
I created an account on this forum a few days ago. I have been going through a few posts on beginner and help topics in other places like Bitcoin discussion, economics, politics, and the rest of them, which is quite interesting, but there is something I was unable to find. Maybe I was not looking well enough. This is a place where everything about medicine is being discussed, as that’s also an area of interest for me. I will love to share and learn from people who are also in the same field as me. Aside from crypto knowledge, I believe a lot can be learned here in this forum.

If there is any such place, I would like someone to point me in that direction.
